So naturally for my divorce I did just that - I talked to family, friends and coworkers while researching representation online. I wanted to better understand the divorce process and pick an excellent lawyer. I scheduled 3 interviews with perspective lawyers - the first very well known attorney stood me up. The receptionist wasn't even present during my 45 minute wait. The second spent my consultation bad mouthing other lawyers. I settled on the third. Once I paid my retainer I swore my lawyer worked for my Ex-husband! He even got irate and yelled at me during a meeting because I wouldn't concede to my Ex-husband's demands and I dared question his advisement! Needless to say I was distraught. An already impossible time with 3 kids in tow being made that much worse. I fired him. Fast forwarding to meeting Melissa. Words can't express the sense of relief I felt from my first consultation thru the conclusion of my divorce. She is warm, personable yet professional. Never did I feel uninformed about my case. She ensured that at all times I knew the exact status of my case. She and her staff communicate every update. I always felt welcome to call or email if a question arose. Would rather have their clients sent to collections by other companies than file contempt motions in court. After $2,000 and literally a case that appeared to have been thrown together last minute I let the courthouse empty handed. The judge informed Denise she would send the final order to me, which she didn't send. Months after the order was issued and many unanswered calls and emails later I finally fought to receive my copy....which still lacked the only two things I needed and for which I hired her for. I felt her services were overpriced and underwhelming. I felt I had to fight the Attorney for the final order that lacked the details that I paid her to negotiate for me.
