I am not sure how I can even begin to explain or to give justice regarding the awesomely fantastic Berkley Disability is. I came to Cliff, when I was already quite some ways into my case. I had met w/ a few lawyers prior to meeting w/ him & w/in 5 mins into it, I KNEW he was the RIGHT lawyer for my case & I. Several years ago my husband who was disabled applied for SS disability and we got the run around big time. The would write saying we didn't return form such and such and we did but resubmitted and they would write back that we double submitted the form but need to submit such a form that we already did. It was so bad he wanted to give up but his doctor recommended Berkeley Law office. I didn't care what the costed which actually wasn't bad at all, actually was totally worth it and I would have paid more. I hate to do this but I have to update my review to one star. He Mr. Berkley was working on my case with all these dire circumstances that he knew up until August 2018, when his secretary starting ghosting me. She wouldn't return my calls or emails and was a barrier to communicate with Mr. Berkley. She's very rude and patronizing as well as has little patience. I didn't like to deal with her but I did because Mr. Berkley is very nice. Well as of now I haven't heard back from him, I mostly blame his secretary but who knows maybe he dropped my case but would be nice if he at least told me that he wouldn't represent me anymore. So I wouldn't still be waiting. Mr. Berkley was very patient but as soon as I was able to get my case back on board 100% he bailed and ghosted me in the process. I filed my SSDI claim with the assistance of Berkley Disability; they took my case immediately after a free, sit down interview. This was in 2015; they filed retroactively to 2014 for me. After they took my case, I didn't have to do anything except keep seeing my primary care doctor, specialists, take my prescriptions, and give them the records for everything. I was denied initially and at a review stage, and they had told me I was likely to be denied at these initial stages during my first consultation interview. However, because they had prepared me for a 2 to 3 year fight, I continued doing what they told me to do; I saw my Medi-Cal doctors regularly and struggled to make ends meet. When I finally had my hearing in front of a judge, Berkley Disability was there to make sure I presented and spoke about myself and my disability the way I needed to. Just like they had told me at the beginning, that most approvals come after seeing the judge, I received my "fully favorable" decision about four weeks after my hearing, and started receiving monthly benefits about six weeks after that. I had a high paying job for many years before becoming disabled. Berkley Disability helped me win $2000 a month in benefits for myself, $1000 a month in benefits for my children, and over $100,000 in back pay benefits for myself and my kids. I went to this appointment with a friend of mine and I have to say that I was very impressed. I was a paralegal for 25 years and Berkley Disability has so far been fantastic. At the first visit I can't remember his name but the gentleman that we spoke with was very easy to talk to and made my friend feel a bit more comforted in a very difficult situation. He was honest but not brutal. He explained the process thoroughly and answered all of our questions. He was very patient and knowledgeable. The Berkley Firm handled my very complicated disability case with unparalleled skill and a genuine show of concern and compassion. I tried to file on my own behalf before consulting an attorney and I lost. Not only did I lose, but the time and effort it took to go through the process with nothing to show for it except delinquent bills and mounting co-pays, put my family in dire straights. We were barely staving off foreclosure when I contacted Berkley who I was referred to by a friend. I ran their name by my accident attorney before committing to The Berkley Firm, who also told me they had an excellent reputation. I handed them a deck stacked against me in nearly every way possible, I'm relatively young and I look even younger, I'm not wheelchair-bound, I'd already lost once on my own behalf and I had a previously existing injury, further complicating matters. I have also always refused surgery and every company and institution you deal with pressures you to have surgery so they can be done with you. They handled the entire case from start to finish with virtually no assistance from me, and quite literally 5 times faster than my failed attempt. Absolutely blows my mind that this "law firm" has received so many 5 star reviews. I had horrible results. I have many many disabling conditions, and for some reason Clifford did not seem to want to put any work into preparing me for my hearing. Despite my being homeless and basically my life on the line he did not think my life was worth his effort. I had very little communication with him and when I showed up for our pre-hearing meeting which was very difficult for me to get to with no money, unable to walk more then a few blocks, he barely gave me 5 mins and prepped me zero. Basically told me to tell the truth..uh duh I should tell the truth in court?? Thanks for your expert advice. I'm honestly absolutely disgusted and am suffering way more than any human should ever EVER have to endure. I do not understand why he even took my case if he was not thinking I would win?? I mean I guess he did next to no work and would have collected his handsome fee and gone to his I assume large gorgeous home, ate like a king, watched his massive tv on his plush comfy couch, before retiring to his nice warm soft king sized bed with the premium sheets and fluffy comforter, while I with fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, myositis, 3 bulging discs and cyst in back causing spinal stenosis, sciatica, OA in all joints, severe sleep apnea, IBS, frequent migraines, carpal tunnel in both wrists, bipolar depression, anxiety, PTSD, diabetes, tmj ++ am laying on ice cold concrete, and lucky to eat a half a sandwich a day. He absolutely broke me. They told me not to submit any records to social security and I did not have to inform them each time I visited a doctor they would receive all records up until the deadline. Well possibly my most important records were not included. And when we met after my denial he acted as if they were unimportant and lied and said they were included. I know he sure as hell is not thinking of me when he lays his head down at night, but you can be certain nearly every night when I am shivering in pain praying for sleep I cannot stop thinking of him read more
