The cashier was friendly & made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in. The building looks small on the outside but is much bigger than it looks on the inside. I play a little game with myself of trying to find items in the antique store that are play creepy ugly and perhaps offencive by today's standards. I started this when I started going to antique malls with my mom and I was pretty much bored out of my mind cuz I was too young to Really Care About Antiques. And it's just kind of a thing I still do find it interesting. As far as Antiques and shops go I have to say the ones in Amish Country were pretty impressive. They had a much better selection and the store didn't have that icky musty smell that they usually do. I brought my mom to Amish country as a basically treat for just her. I fully expected to just have to suck it up and not really enjoy myself but just give her a good time. I have to admit I had a blast I think I bought more than she did. I found several things I was interested in. They had cool things for the yard lawn ornaments and neat bird houses I even bought it bracelets. Now that I'm home there were a couple things I saw that I regret not getting. In addition to a antiques they have cool crafts and decorating items, quilts, delicious fudge, all these canned items ... jellies and relishes and pickled things. So it's just not for hundred year old ladies looking for antiques there really are some cool stuff. This is a general observation, and of course the merchandise changes regularly. But it seems to me the smaller clothing size you wear and the smaller your shoe size, the better luck you will have in scoring some clothing bargains. My jackpot today was furniture. I purchased a brand new Fleur de lis lamp that I picked up for $75. It had a price tag of $139 hanging on it, and I also found the same lamp, same make on the Web for as high as $179. Let's just say I'm thrilled. It's a gorgeous lamp. The other bargain I scored was a vintage, French Country accent chair. It is gently used, but it is gorgeous and it was only $50. There is a slight stain on the seat cushion, but it is barely noticeable. I love the chair and it was a true bargain. The prices on the furniture were almost too low to be believed. The staff were helpful and kind. Very, very nice people and they support a great mission to help others with the proceeds of the sales. If you're in the area, it would be worth a visit
