So what did I find? Location: at quiet end of Ku'damm, very close to Halensee S-Bahn station (Ring line) and Ku'damm bus routes, easy walking distance to Westkreuz (RE/S-Bahn) Style: Nicely renovated mansion house in quiet residential street Dining: Affiliated with nearby "Nordwind" neighbourhood restaurant - good authentic German food, well priced Facilities: Relatively modern, with flat-panel TV (albeit small) and WiFi (albeit payable) But ... for me the expectations from regular use of big, chain hotels left this one lacking: - No air conditioning (not a problem in October, but with 10C ambient the bedroom was 19C with NO heating, so suspect summer may be challenging) - Uses old fashioned keys they like you to leave at reception - 1st time I've encountered a throwback like this for several years. I had a bad feeling about this, and when returning lat-ish from drinks with colleagues, the front door was locked (most keycard based establishments can open the door on the keycard), and the problem is exacerbated by its small size meaning there was a single night duty person who took a long time to respond to the night bell Conclusion: Probably works OK in winter if you don't go out in the evening. On the other hand, the niggles from its obsolescent view of some technical facilities will simply irritate the regular business travel who just expects "things to work"

German efficiency for sure. The hotel is in more of a neighborhood area which we really liked as there were many restaurants, retail shops, coffee shops, and a beer hall all within walking distance. There was a Rewe right across the street where we bought water, fruits, and snacks to keep in our room along with a coffee and pastry place near it. There is also a U-Bahn train station within a 5-10 minute walk with more shops and places to eat along the way, and a bus stop right near the hotel entrance which we used and was very convenient. It seems like more of a boutique hotel so don't expect all the bells and whistles of the larger name brands, but it does more than enough to accommodate for a very nice stay with reasonable pricing.

They got many different drinks on the menu, it ìs better to check it out on their site or check it out in the bar. For the gin lover, this is a great place as well, they got a extra menu just for gin. And don't forget to ask for it. I did find it a bit pricey though. I was in the mood for some hot coffee. The coffee was not bad. And the price was the same like a regular coffee shop. My friends also order different drinks, some are good. Some just so so. But we were happy with view and we had a great time here. At night, it got a bit cold, we moved inside the bar and continued out talked.
