Cute Italian restaurant a short walk away from Marienplatz. There's indoor and outdoor seating available but only indoors was open when we went here for lunch. It is very tastefully decorated. There are so many great menu options for pasta and pizza, you are really spoilt for choice. The pumpkin amaretto ravioli was delicious. We had a quick meal here but wish we had more time to try out other dishes on the menu. read more

So tonight's dinner was a combination of Italian and Pizza. Yes I know pizza is Italian but it's not. LOL. Anyway, girlfriend got the lasagna bolognese while I got their version of a Hawaiian pizza and we shared. I will admit I almost stole her lasagna. OMG it was so good. I've had the girlfriend's lasagna and well hers has now fallen to number 2 on my list. LOL. The pizza was a typical Italian/ German style pizza that was really good as well. I still have several pizza places in the US that are better but man the pizza in Germany is just different and tastes really good. Inside is beautiful. We were visiting Munich from America in mid-October 2023. There was some confusion with the menu as we thought (incorrectly) that by ordering the 3 pasta selections we would be able to select our own kinds of pasta. Of course, our language barrier didn't help the situation and we were served the 3 pasta selections plus 3 large bowls of what were the choices we thought we had made. We just wanted to share a little pasta and not receive individual large bowls. I spoke with Dani who was the manager of the restaurant and she was very nice and decided to only charge us for half which we agreed to. She came back later and decided to not charge us at all for the three additional bowls. This was beyond what she needed to do. She was very pleasant and professional and she donated the extra pasta dishes to her workers. BTW, the pasta was delicious and al dente which is how it is supposed to be. On our flight to Germany we met a very nice man on the plane that recommended this place for pizza. He said it was one of the best pizzas he had ever had in his life. This being said, and being an avid pizza lover, I had to see for myself. I would not say it was the best pizza of my life but it was PRETTY DAMN GOOD. This was over two years ago, so I wish I could share details about it, but all I know is that I still think about it to this day. So, I decided to visit a restaurant in Munich's high tourist zone. Unfortunately it could've been better. First of all the service was fine. The waiter gave us sufficient attention and remembered our order without even writing it down which is impressive! Now to the food, I ordered the Filet Steak which came with a salad and fries. The steak was unfortunately overdone, I ordered it medium and the only medium was the absolute core which was very lightly pink, which means Well Done for me. The general flavor of the steak was lacking, featuring no flavor experience. The texture of it was also quite dry. The herb butter that came with the steak was hard, most likely due to it coming from the fridge or freezer. The salad was simply overdressed with too much dressing being placed on the salad overpowering everything in the bowl. The vegetables were fresh though. The atmosphere is very open and inviting, featuring a high ceiling and lots of space. Plenty of Windows give a wonderful view on the Viktualienmarkt below. All in all I was disappointed in general with the food that I had, and I'm sure it could be made a lot better. read more

The location of this place is probably one of the best that a restaurant can have in a city with a lot of tourists... We were there in the summer, sitting outside so I can't say how the atmosphere is in the inside (sorry), but the square they have filled with tables is pretty big but doesn't look crowded and if you are a tourist you will definitely come by this place. But I'm sorry to say the day we were there the service wasn't very nice, a little snappy to some customers that took a little too long to choose something from the menu and wasn't in a very good mood as it was our turn...I just hope she had a bad day...because we didn't feel very welcome after that. The food was ok in my opinion (noodles)...I wasn't flashed or anything...but there is enough in the menu to choose from and the prices were really fair though and I think if you are a tourist with kids you should take a look...you usually can't mess up pizza and pasta For people living in Munich and have more time to choose a restaurant I wouldn't recommend it. read more

Been going here since I was a kid, and I now I take my own kids when we are out and about in the city. It is a kind of modern Italian restaurant that you could find in any larger Northern Italian city - but also well integrated into the Munich locale. A great location it is, too, right next to the Viktualienmarkt and St Peter with friendly service and good food - some of it great. I would not choose this as the venue for a romantic dinner, or to spoil yourself on a special occasion. After trying unsuccessfully to get into a couple places with better Yelp ratings, we have this place a go. Maybe something or someone has changed since some of the bad reviews for this place were posted, because we had a great time here. I ordered a calzone, which was filling and tasty, although I'd have preferred more ham and cheese... and maybe the addition of salami or pepperoniwurst. But then I'm a silly American. My wife and my brother both ordered veal with au gratin potatoes and tore it up. Not personally a big fan of veal, and I don't order it out most of the time because it's unforgiving... a little tough to cook just right. Both of theirs were cooked perfectly- moist, tender, and very tasty. Prices were reasonable; wine was a bit overpriced but typical for restaurant-especially tourist area restaurant- prices. We spent just under 100€ including drinks; not bad. Service was good and friendly. Without trying a few other things here, hard to say it's a 5-Star joint. But food was good and filling, ambiance was nice, and we had a great time. read more

My wife and I ate here twice during our brief stay in Munich. The first night we each ordered pizza - the pizzas were both outstanding. The crust was to die for - it was crisp and a little chewy. This restaurant was just plain awful. Nothing here is edible. The service is terrible. Each bite from each plate made me wish I (we) continued to starve myself (ourselves). I was squeamish about Italian as we have excellent choices in SF and NYC to compare. I should not have been... This place is as good as any casual place in both places! We started off with Caprese Salad... Fresh buffalo moz with some of the best beefsteak tomatoes with fresh basil and light balsamic dressing. We shared lasagna, spaghetti Bolognese and Pepperoni (they call it salami) thin crust pizza. Lasagna is the best I have ever had! Thin pasta, fresh sauce.... So good! Spaghetti was al dente with not too much sauce. Pizza was so crisp that only after 10 min of sitting did it start to sag a bit when holding it unsupported from the crust! Food was ok but didnt really thrill me ( we had the gnocci and a salad). Service was slow and not very friendly. A guest at the next table tried changing the capers on his pizza for anchovies and that alone caused a big discussion. In the end he went for a different pizza. Not a good sign:-( read more
