This place has an awesome breakfast! My wife and I had some time to kill on a beautiful Sunday morning while attending an AAU basketball tournament at the Hub in Centralia. This place is downtown only a few miles away. We split an omelette with hash browns, a biscuit and fruit bowl. The portions are big and perfectly cooked. Today I met my friend Terri at our halfway point for lunch again. Well worth the drive from Portland. Now after all this, the couple next to us paid our check when they left. I can't begin to tell you what that meant to Terri and me. We had been talking about the high cost of groceries and how so many are struggling right now just to put food on the table. Terri and her husband, Ken, shop for their local food pantry weekly. Came here with some friends on whim bc we were in the area and were looking to grab some brunch. Came in around 12PM, plenty of open tables and we were able to seat ourselves. Wonderful, as usual. I hadn't realized I hadn't done a review yet. We come here frequently because the food and service is stellar. Today we had a Reuben and a Cranberry Bog sandwich. Mine came with large bowl of their yummy chicken curry soup and Rob got tater tots so we could share. I'm not sure how they do it but the Reuben was so crisp! My only issue is that the sandwiches are so big that there is no room for dessert. The server was pleasant, friendly, and right on top of things. On 10/27/2025 my family and I came to this place because it was highly recommended. I ordered their Cinnamon Roll French toast, which later I saw was nothing like the pictures. The plate came with what looked like a cinnamon roll on top of one French toast, both of them slightly burnt, and on top of the cinnamon roll, and maybe to cover the burnt stuff, was some gooey substance that looked like slightly chunky, dark, raw batter. It had that consistency. I have no idea what it was. Loved Berry Fields Cafe. I arrived via Amtrak from Vancouver to meet a friend who came from Seattle since Centrailia is the halfway point. Upon arriving you seat yourself. It is full service however. We were promptly acknowledged by a friendly server and ordered the BLT on a fresh croissant and a Turkey Cranberry sandwich on Sourdough. I am a huge fan of Turkey Cranberry sandwiches and I must say that this was the best that I have ever had at any establishment and I've had dozens of them. We drove to Berry Fields Cafe to meet a friend while on our trip to Vancouver, WA. The drive was nice, although rainy, which is typical this time of year; from what we understand. The meal was fantastic. I had a roast beef sandwich and the beef was piled high. The bread was excellent and due to the weather, I added a hot tea with honey. A pickle wedge on the side and a side of Cole slaw finished out my order. I took about half of the beef off my sandwich and took it back to feed me another day. Our waitress was fantastic. I asked for honey with my tea, which she happily accommodated. We really had no other needs, as everything was taken care of without requesting. It is a very open atmosphere with tables in the bright light of the windows, or in a more demure area which was not as bright. I heartily recommend Berry Fields Cafe. Well, i am thinking that when this joint got the "best desserts in town" award they must have had someone who knew how to make bake....but obviously not any more.
