My 3 older daughters love to come here to roller blades, skate board and ride scooters. The park as mentioned is very nice and rather large and has sections for intermediate skills and. Beginners like my girls and more advanced areas for the future Tony hawks of the world. Overall very cool area that my kiddos have a lot of fun at. Good and different activity for the youth of the area to participate in.

Took my kids to this park to go skateboarding and it's never too crowded which makes it nice for beginners or novices like them. So they don't feel real intimidated and have a good time. The ramps and things aren't too steep either so it makes nice for them to learn the skills of skateboarding. Overall pretty nice park that the kids have a lot of fun at. It is surrounded by other fun activities like walking trails, a baseball field and some full court basketball courts. Cool little community area that's safe as it literally is connected to the police station.

I was tired of skateboarding out in the sun and getting burned, so bf got me to try this place out…read more I wasn't planning on skating because I've never been to an indoor park and was just going to watch and get the feel for things, but the owner, Floyd, was super cool and friendly and the place looked nice so I couldn't resist. The skate shop is really nice and things are priced fairly. Pre-built boards are roughly $100. To have Floyd put one together for you the price is dependent upon what you choose for your board. I got a Real deck with Independent trucks, Street Scoundrel wheels, and basic black grip tape and it cost me about $150 after tax. You also get a free skate class or free admission for your next skate session when you purchase a board. After trying the board out it's definitely the best I've skated and well worth the price. Riot offers group lessons, private lessons, and even hosts a ladies night on Wednesday for $5 admission. The store carries everything you'd ever need to skate, refreshments, and clothing. When visiting Riot, you'll feel welcome, you'll find good quality wares, and most importantly, you'll have fun while supporting a local business!

First visit to Jacobson Park, and while it felt like a crazy long hike there with two teens and a…read morepuppy during rush hour, it was worth the drive to experience a bucolic and hopping piece of the outdoors! Our puppy loved the ducks (and these were some FRIENDLY and INTERACTIVE ducks...) and we experienced some other cool avian sightings. Not a surprise - but the restrooms were suitably scary and during the first part of our visit, the overcast and gray sky made the cement building feel ripe for a horror movie experience... compete with a scary service truck and a man in stained overalls. (Please note, the gentleman was actually very friendly and engaging and was hard at work - he was not in any way a negative presence). The park is expansive and it was actually really busy for a Thursday evening. The dog park was intriguing but we ran out of time to visit. The play area had something for all ages and was popular with children through teens. Loads of parking and the shelter area was great for a school gathering. Can't wait to visit again!

There are plenty of green spaces and empty fields to play frisbee, flag football, or volleyball. I drove to the dog park area since the park is strict on having the dogs on leash at all times, so I went there. The dog parks for both small and large dogs are enormous! I have never seen that size of a dog park since I was in Colorado--and that state is known for being pet friendly, so their parks and restaurants are 90% pet-friendly. I took my dog to the small dog park as he is small. It was still 4 P.m. and too hot for my dog. There are not a lot of shades in the small dog area compared to the large dog area. I did not stay that long as my dog did not like being grilled under the sun. I checked out the rest of the park by driving around and noticed a vast playground, a marina (although the water has receded), empty fields, a picnic area, and even a camping area! If I had come later in the day when it was not too hot for my dog, I would have enjoyed my stay here. I have seen plenty of residents around here with their kids, birthday party groups, and groups playing frisbee. I can tell that it is a great park to visit. Cool spot ~

While I did have an issue finding the address, once I did it was quite smooth from there forth. There's an separate entrance for large dogs than the gate for the small dogs so that was a soothing gesture since smaller dogs tend to get spooked by my dogs size. She was able to run free and the dog waste stations were readily available to the pet parents for easier waste retrieval. The parking is directly in front of the entrance so it was easy to unload and load her back in. I found it to be quite clean and spacious. I'm not from the area but spotting this park out made this stop on my trip worthwhile for both of us.
