I chose a bag and was happy paying full price, only to find out that most of the store was on sale (nice surprise) and thus ended up spending 100 euro less than anticipated. The sales associates weren't overly friendly, as I may be used to in America, but they weren't rude either, so they're alright in my book. I have by no means checked out all of Milano's leather shops so I can't say how this compares but I can say I left happy.

The owner has impeccable taste and is eager to guide you through your shopping experience with tact and excellent manners. A brightly lit, colorful, nicely arranged shop filled with wonderful handbags and jewelry. They specialize in handmade leather and vegan leather handbags, wallets, backpacks, belts as well as handmade jewelry too from silver and bronze alloy. Everything is just lovely and it's easy to tell that it is all very well crafted and detailed, they take pride in their work. Speaking with shop owner I asked him if he made the bags and he said yes and showed me the workshop. Not only does he make all the hand bags, but the workshop is right behind the shop, so cute. I don't see that at home in NYC. He was very friendly, very helpful and a pleasure to meet. I only wish I bought more.

From 7.00 to 14.00 Take the Underground Line 2 (the green one), the nearest station is Porta Genova, but is actually 15 minutes walking to the market, otherwise you can catch a tram somewhere, there are a lot that pass through that area. Or you can get bus 94, get down to Colonne di San Lorenzo (a very nice and alternative place, also at night), walk through Corso di Porta Ticinese, turn right after passing through the Porta Ticinese (it' s like a biiig oold arch), walk 2 minutes and you'll see the river Naviglio, that's where the market is! The precise place where the market starts is Via Valenza 16, but you can just get in it by the river Naviglio. You'll find a wonderful range of vintage things, from clothes to home decor, accessories, bags, typewriters, hats, jewels, boxes, advertising ecc. It's big and wonderful!
