This is a deplorable place and made worse by a small rabble of malicious neighbours. They single out people they don't like failing to see the enormous council inadequacies and poor quality service. PR is sustained however by Arun council who hold regular 'coffee mornings' or PR exercises as I like to call them. Council officers have shown themselves over the nine years I've had the misfortune to live here (was only meant to be here a year!) to be: arrogant, uncaring, evasive, rude, blameless and even shifting blame onto residents. There is an uncleared bed bug problem recurring in the main building so be careful when viewing those luxury battery hen coops. And the whole site, as many have said, is like an ailing prison where even the staff have gone home for the evening. Repairs take forever. Just ask people.
But it's cheap. And if you can tolerate vindictive idiots who do nothing but look for their next victim to persecute you'll be fine.
Oh the lifts don't work constantly.
So there isn't much in the way of care or community. Unless you like coffee.
You will meet perhaps crackheads and drug dealers and the local disaffected youths habitually vandalise the bin on the green where they indulge themselves. They are trying to gentrify the place now but as they say you can't polish a turd.
You can however roll it in Arun glitter which for a short while makes you feel all is ok.
It isn't.
Avoid like you would a rabid dog. read more
