We purchased a few Christmas Lemax items on their ebay store using the "buy it now" option and then paid for them. We then emailed the seller to see if it was OK to pick them up in the store. They said absolutely and they would give us store credit or refund us (whichever was more convenient) for the freight we had already paid. Though we got lost driving there by taking the wrong exit off of the FWY, we called asking what time they were closing, which was at the moment of the call, they said to come on down anyway and they'd still be open as there were still customers in the store and we weren't far away. Great customer service, great people and great products if you like Christmas themed items.

I have recently used their services to decorate what would have been an incredibly dull corporate function. Matt looked after me, suggested how many balloons I would need (although you can never have too many) and even matched the colours to the logo. Needless to say, my boss was very impressed with my efforts (thanks Matt!) Okay, they also have a few other discount items available, but their main focus is being a party supply store, and you can certainly get a decent amount of supplies here for whatever reason you have for throwing a party (not as if you actually need a reason, but you know what I mean).

There are three aisles and everything is arranged logically. There are piñatas hanging from the roof and a huge variety of streamers to complement them. I noticed they sold balloon gas as well and they have DIY balloon gas kits.

I came here to hire a fairy floss machine for a birthday party and was very happy with the services…read moreand price that this place offered. This bright pink shop on Springvale Road is easy to find and there is parking on the street right in front- which makes it easy to transport the machine. I booked over the phone and when the day came I went in and the lady had my order and machine all ready to go. She showed me how to work the machine (very simple and easy), let me make a few sticks (and keep them if I wanted to). She gave me two big bags of sugar and 200 sticks. Beware that this is a commercial machine, meaning it's very large. Most regular sedans would be able to fit the machine in, but if you've got a little two seater you may need to find another vehicle. The machine came with two components. The base, which was very heavy (the workers at the store took it to my car for me), and the large metal basin. The woman was very kind and easy to talk with, she said cleaning was not required as she would prefer having a dirty one returned than run the risk of customers attempting to clean it themselves and getting water into the motor. The machine worked perfectly fine and the sugar mixture was perfect. If I ever need a fairy floss machine again I'll be coming here.

Turned out Shelly from We Love Face Painting was there painting up the crowd and gosh was she good! There was zombies and animals and finally, once I decided to get adorned, rock and roll hearts and lightening bolts! I don't know why more adult parties don't involve face painting because it seems the perfect accompaniment to a rowdy bar filled with hospo kids and boozehounds. Imagine how cool it would be to have face painting at a house party!? I remember getting face painted as a kid and it the paint was always itchy and irritating to my skin, so I was a little hesitant in offering up my cheeks for decoration. This paint didn't irritate me at all, in fact I forgot I had it on and woke up the next morning (admittedly feeling pretty hungover) and got a massive shock when I looked in the bathroom mirror. Good times.

This place is a magical wonderland for all things plastic, paper, kitchen and party. Let me explain by giving you a short list of some of the items I've bought here: - industrial strength caterers aluminium foil - polka dot cupcake wrappers - mini top hat for a dressup party - toothpicks with Aussie flags on them - paper lanters with tiny LED lights inside - plastic tongs - glitter glue - novelty oversized playing cards for a hens night and a BUNCH of other purchases - some necessary, some frivolous. They have napkins and plastic tablecloths in every shade you can imagine, disposable containers, hula skirts, pinatas, ribbon, balloons, kids toys, costumes, fancy dress items and man.... it just goes on. I really appreciate that in addition to an amazing range, Astoria's prices are incredibly reasonable. Certainly cheaper than a specialty party store.
