Here's an update. I've been seeing Kim for a few years now. I'm a disabled vet with a lot of medical problems and she has been able to keep helping whenever I need a nudge in the right direction when other help isn't working. My migraines are pretty much gone except for a flareup here and there. COVID had been treatable with her help. I have lung issues and she's always able to turn me right around with full breathing when I thought I was ok but was definitely having breathing and asthma issues. I've been a patient at Best Acupuncture since Summer 2019. I had done several doctor appts and labs trying to see what else could cause me to overheat so frequently. Just a worn out sluggish feeling. I had never gone the acupuncture route. I just wanted a change and to be Heard. Someone to have never seen me and to start from the beginning. I've had gerd for many years. Took the medicine for it and it would mask all the heart burn symptoms of course. I was able to work with Kim and do food sensitivities testing that she recommended to me. From those results I eliminated the foods that would trigger me. I was able to come off of that medication that id taken for several years! Here I was going into her with heartburn I'd suffer with for a few days while trying to get off that medicine and trial and error with the foods. She would work her magic and my heartburn would move out of my body in a minutes. I can't even explain it but I'd go from warm don't wanna blanket just going to lay here until Kim I'm actually cold and her getting a blanket for me. This was also the first year I've gone without taking prednisone for when my asthma would really act up. The only thing that was different than previous years was that I was working with Kim. Since February of this year, I have been battling chronic back pain between my spine and right shoulder blade. I've gotten weekly chiropractor adjustments, weekly deep tissue massages, and regular visits with multiple different physicians. The physicians would never try to find out what was wrong; just prescribe me some muscle relaxers and kick me out the door. And even with all of these efforts, I was rapidly getting worse. Kim is amazing! She's helped me with everything from lower back pain (i.e. herniated disc), to fighting/avoiding the flu as a member of her Fight-the-Flu club. She's not only helped me, but she's helped my 3 year-old as well. He was coming down with the flu and had a terrible cough (he has asthma too). It was a weekend so our only option was either emergency care or Kim. Well, I texted Kim and she was able to see him that morning. He had two rounds of herbs and within 6 hours was completely better. My husband was shocked. He witnessed my son during a coughing attack (as he'd been coughing for two days straight) and then witnessed him stop coughing immediately and completely after taking the herbs, he was shocked. In spring 2014, I was finally fed up with my allergies to give acupuncture a first time try. I had tried over the counter allergies medications that either helped but left my mind in the clouds or had no benefit at all. I have had allergies for 20 years. My neighbor in Woodland mentioned Kim. I thought, why not give it a try? Kim was very attentive and yes thorough is right. Expect a good hour if not more. She's definitely passionate about what she does and obviously experienced. Puts your fears at bay. After 2 more treatments, my allergies were gone. Then this past year, NO allergies. Sure an occasional sneeze now and then. But no more dreadful spring time. I live in the country, so I am so relieved. Now I can go to work, without my clients wondering if I have a cold or am sick. At the end of my three treatments, I asked her when should I come back. She said, I think you should be fine, but you can come back when you need. Now I have returned, this time for sleep issues. I have had one session, she believes I will need 2 more. Point being, I appreciate that she's not pushy. And her availability is pretty good as well.
