Not only does Elite offer the best training on learning to bartend (theory and practical) but you become and alumn and have access to so many extras for being part of the Elite family. I was blown away even just 2 days in when I could identify without much thought how much bartenders do it wrong. After graduating, I can definitely say it's been and amazing experience. I've learned all the recipes for all the drinks you've heard of and more, plus triggers to make drinks that go by different names that I haven't heard of. Dave was great and promptly sent me over all of my options after our initial phone call. We picked out what we wanted for our buffet for about 50 people, rented tables and chairs, as well as linens. I met Michael over at our venue who was equally as great to work with, he was very friendly and gave me his opinions on what he think would look best where and how we should setup. The day of the party came and the caterer arrived right on time and immediately got to work. They cooked everything in house and the food was amazing. From the hors-d'œuvre's to the buffet to the desserts. The bartenders and wait staff was amazing and accommodating. If you check out their website- they have a list of what is on that week's cooking school menu. You call and make a reservation and give your credit card number over the phone. When you look at the offerings, the ones that say "hands on" are the ones where you are actually chopping, frying, boiling etc. I've also been to sessions here where it is more of a lecture and you just listen and the pros cook. On my most recent adventure- my friends and I chose the "Chinese New Year Celebration" menu which included pork dumplings, salmon wraps, Mongolian beef, longevity noodles and a sweet pancake for dessert. The price without alcohol for this was $85. They also have alcohol available for purchase. What's really nice is after you have cooked all of the food at the various stations, the experts take it in the back, plate it, and then serve it to you at communal tables. About 10 people showed up, all eager to cook so strangers are not strangers for long! It starts at 6pm and we were done around 9. There is plenty of paid street parking just north of the location.
