We have lived in Stockbridge for over 2 yrs & live 7 minutes from this place. This is the first time we ate here. Our order: *Country fried steak with white gravy soft scrambled eggs with cheese, hash browns and English muffins *Pork chop breakfast, soft scrambled eggs with cheese hash browns and English muffin. *French toast. *coffee *regular water and lime *orange juice. It's always a risk when you're ordering pork chops because sometimes in restaurants they overcook it and it tends to be dry or they don't select the best cuts of pork chop and it's too thin and is dry. I was really impressed at how well the pork chop was cooked it was tender, moist, seasoned very well, hot and paired with The soft scrambled eggs and cheese nicely. The hashbrowns were not great but they were good it seem to be a little too crispy but nonetheless it was still good. The French toast Was not bad I could've made that at home but I did like them they were a bit crispy on the outside and soft on the inside not a remarkable type of toast maybe some regular brand Wonder Bread or something like that but outside of that it was really good. The syrup did enhance the flavoring of the French toast so it was overall delightful. My husband stated that the country fried steak tasted like an older cut of steak. I tasted it and I have to agree but overall it wasn't bad. The combination of the soft scrambled eggs with cheese and the hashbrowns paired really well with the country fried steak. The eggs by far were the star of the meal. They were cook so perfectly it was like a chef said that's my specialty. They were great!! We went to another place a couple of weeks ago "Atlanta Breakfast Club", paid twice as much for the food that was nowhere near as good as this place. Would we go back. ABSOLUTELY!! I may have came on a bad day but the wait and service was ridiculously slow. The waitress was nice but completely busy and not able to attend to our table like it should have been done. When we got our food which were omelets I was disappointed. The eggs were thin and bland with no seasoning except for the hot sauce I added. The veggie filling on the inside was chopped to big. Not many great places in this area but needless to say we liked it here. Pancakes were good things felt homey. The restaurant in itself could use a little remodel but overall the potatoes were good. The place smelled and looked old. The food was not hot/warm it was cold. It was only one other table while we were there. Ok this was our first time here. I'll say the food here is pretty good for the price. Now there are a few things to know first. Food score was a 92 this day. The building seems like it used to be an old Chinese restaurant, the carpet is a bit dated and looks like it needs cleaning or replacing. Now once you get past that you'll like the food. One thing I must point out is that the omelettes are not the traditional style, they look more like pancake omelettes. I had to add a little salt to my food which was cool because you can always add but you can't take away. The biscuit was fluffy while hot, bacon had a somewhat strong taste but was still good and the hash browns were good. The grits were decent, but they came in a small bowl. We went around 10 ish on a Tuesday and the place was like 60-65 percent full. Diverse crowd eating there and pleasant atmosphere. The food has more of a hone cooked feel rather than a processed feel. My wait after ordering was like 10 mins. Overall a nice mom and pop spot and I'd probably go back to every now and then. B T W on the way out the door I saw the lunch menu that said 1 meat, 2 side and bread and drink for 5.99 now that's a good price! One more thing, they don't serve Waffles read more

If you go during the week the food is ok. If you go on the weekend the biscuits are old and dry the eggs are never like you ordered them the potatoes taste old the sausage gravy is runny and the meat taste like it's been reheated. This place has one tasty and large Omelette. The ingredients were not over cooked and yet were very tasty and the egg was thin not overly fluffy. The parking lot was small and bit confusing to enter and exit but the waitress was courteous and attentive,so the parking was forgettable. The sausage patties were not bad, (and were not greasy as someone else had said) but I'd opt for bacon next time. The eggs were good and prepared exactly as we'd requested. Scrambled hard was right the first time, as were the fried, over-well. The pancakes were tasty and large and were, ever so slightly, under cooked but not enough to send them back. I'd be tempted to try lunch but noticed when we left at about 10am, there were several items already out on the display. Okay so the food is great and the portions rival something from a Flintstones cartoon. We completely enjoyed the food and the staff was as friendly as could be with the most diverse crowd I have seen in such a restaurant. This location was originally opened as a Thai restaurant and still resembles one greatly on the inside, down to the koi pond at the entrance. It was a little strange if not surreal eating a GREAT southern breakfast (the food is amazing) in an obviously oriental setting. The staff was super awesome and very attentive. You can tell it used to be a Chinese buffet at one point but they have made the conversion homey and comfortable. The pancakes were fluffy, the french toast was devoured by our kids. They served syrup and powdered sugar automatically with the pancakes and french toast. The sausage patties are not high quality sausage but they cook it just right for what it is with a delicious crisp on the outside that makes it tasty. They use margarine instead of butter which is a downside for us but to each their own :-) The prices are friendly and they offer a lunch deal that's amazing $5.99 for a meat and two sides with corn muffin and it includes the drink. My wife and I have eaten here many times and it is our favorite local breakfast place. They have a cafeteria style lunch line serving things like meatloaf, mashed potatoes, etc. They also have a menu you can order from with all the usual breakfast items. One thing I very much value is that they make it clear that they want our business. We go to so many restaurants where they act like we are an imposition. Not here. I always feel like I get my money's worth too. And my best tip of the day, try the peach cobbler...if you can get it. It's the best we have ever had. read more
