I don't shop here often but when I do, I have received exceptional SERVICE! Today was another example of that Service! I purchased a connection wire but asked the front Greeter to help and she did.... I had what she chose in my hand and I still looked more and I noticed the one she gave me was 6 feet long and I noticed one for 5 feet long and I chose the shorter the box looked the same so I purchased it! When I brought it home it did not work so I drove back to return it! When I did.....the Cashier said that the Greeter that initially who gave me the right Wire Connection noticed I bought the wrong one and tried to catch me outside But I already left and so the Cashier had the Correct one for me and she tested it on my item I brought in and IT WORKED! The Moral of the Story..... BEST BUY EMPLOYEES KNOWS BEST!!!!! The two boxes were very similar and the photos the same on the Box and yet there was a slight difference which I did not notice! I'm still flabbergasted that I had to wait half a fuckinf hour to get anyone to help me. People that walked in 20 minutes AFTER I did were helped. I spoke with multiple employees at the store trying to get a simple answer and no one gave a shit. I honestly think it's racism, which is really sad, because the employees were almost all black and brown, and I'm brown. Maybe because I look middle eastern was why they did this: but it's an experience so bad that I won't forget it. Half a fucking hour. To his credit the original guy I spoke with eventually helped me - but it was half a fucking hour. I came here to fix my laptop. Unfortunately the folks at geek squad told me that my laptop battery has outlived its lifespan. So, I went to their laptop display and within minutes their store clerk approached me giving product recommendation. I was lucky enough to get HP laptop for $999. However the item is out of stock and needs to be shipped to my home. Overall, they trained their clerks well. The only downside is just they are persistent in soliciting insurance and credit cards. read more

I went there to buy a new cell phone, a $600 iPhone 16e. During conversation with the sales clerk who appeared bored, she tried to tell me that the cell phone signal and the data signal are the same thing! which they are not! and it's pretty important regarding what I was trying to explain, so when I corrected her, she says to me "whatever!" again this isn't a cell phone case, this is a $600 piece of electronics! So when I called the "customer complaint number" they told me, even though they sent me an email saying someone would be in contact with me, that No one would ever call me back! They said something like said like yeah "you can file complaints, but nobody will ever get back to you!" and I said that's funny cause you're email message said something different, it said someone would be in contact with me, but that was weeks ago. I bought my last receiver from Best Buy 22 years ago, and it's starting to go. So I swung in to take a look at their options. There was nothing to look at, everything was in boxes, and their selection was pretty limited. I then interacted with the pushiest sales guy I've ever interacted with at a retail store. He asked me if I needed help finding anything, and I said a receiver. He then asked me "well...what do you have?", which is an irrelevant question to showing me where the receivers are, but I obliged and said I have a couple ARs and some Sonys. I told him I was looking for the 50-100 watt range. He brought me to the aisle and started purposely rattling off high level audio tech specs to try and establish himself as the expert in the room and gain leverage for making recommendations. But I went to school for audio, so I politely asked him for some space so I could figure out what I wanted. He obliged and said he'd be over there when I'm ready. After looking at the options for a couple minutes, I realized everything they sold was meant to run 2 subwoofers and I only want to run one. So I went over (to be nice) and said " hey, so everything you have is .2, and I'm only running .1, so I gotta figure something out online." I figured he'd say "sorry we couldn't help you out" or something like that and it would be it. Instead, he tries to big dog me (again) and says somewhat dismissively "they don't really make them like that anymore", which I KNOW to be untrue. I think he sensed I knew that, so he quickly pivoted and said "the extra feature doesn't increase the price" which is an INSANE claim to make and absolutely untrue. I start to get irritated so I say authoritatively "we're all set. You keep trying to talk to me and I'm just trying to leave the store." I turn and walk away. He mutters "wow you're rude" to my back and so I turn around and walk back over to say "no actually I came over to be NICE and you just wanted to try and sell me and then got embarrassed when you couldn't." A coworker standing nearby exclaimed "Oh my GOOOD" which I couldn't tell if it was at my expense, or moreso as an exclamation of how on-point I summed him up. I was not expecting white glove service for my trip to Best Buy in Braintree simply because, well, where do you get excellent retail customer service anymore? And a reasonable price that meets Amazon? Best Buy in Braintree is where. I bought a replacement tv o/l, scheduled the pickup and waited. I figured it would be well into the day before I had a pickup time. Silly. I was pulling up to the store an hour later, had my phone out and was nearly ready to accept the tv when the rep ASKED me if I'd like someone to help me, "since it's a little awkward." Would I?? I would recommend this store for sure. Sweens was our associate that helped us. I cannot say enough about this young man. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, kind, hardworking and a leader. I saw his co-workers approach him on several occasions, with questions, and each time he approached them with patience, kindness, respect and most of all, knowledge. I would be honored to have him as an employee. He helped my mother and I buy a phone and we had some issues a few weeks later (due to my mother's inexperience with the phone) and he helped again with a smile on his face. Very poor selection of hardware. Open box deals are absurdly bad (such as a damaged dualsense controller for $65 -more than a new one!!!) PC selection was abysmal, the store is still selling laptops with pentium processors. The staff on the floor were kind and knowledgeable however. Customer service is non existent as store managers in Braintree are not responsive to help customers. Two different managers told me they would resolve my installation issues and call me the next day. Crickets.... Geek Squad has been outsourced to contractors so services are not as good as what they were in the past. Either install yourself or hire your own contractor. Preferably, find a reputable local store and buy your electronics from them. As another pointed out in the reviews, the stores are disconnected from Best Buy corporate so service problems can not be resolved. on. January 8, 2025 comes and I received the delivery. However, when I opened the box, it says "good" on the box. I call Best Buy, only to be outsourced to India because no calls in the store because reasons. The call center tells me that I have two options, return/exchange in store or they can send me a lable to mail it back. I go to the store and let them know what happened and that the call center said they can reorder me one online. The store tells me that they can't process/exhange online orders because it was an online purchase. They then proceed to look up similar laptops only to tell me that i would have to pay the difference. Absolutely insane. I then ask if i would be able to be compensated for the difference since i paid of an excellent condition and received an good condition. They told me that i would just get a full refund. Absolutely f'n insane. How are you not responsible for an error that you made and do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to correct it? Customer service is completely garbage. Asked for a MacBook Pro with nano texture screen, got a price which was good, confirmed three times before purchasing with sales person that this was with the nano screen. Bought it. Drove away, checked receipt, nothing mentioned about the screen. Drove back, showed receipt, he said it would be in the email, checked email on way out of the store, brought it back and showed it to him, at which point he told me that he gave me the best screen available with that model, and the nano screen was not available, wagging his head as if I was a moron the whole time. I told him I wanted to cancel the order. He said he'd need a manager, and called the manager on his microphone, saying the lady didn't believe him. I had told him I saw one 30 minutes ago at Apple Store. I showed him websites with the information about availability of the screen on the MacBook Pro. So I went there to give them another chance after the drone incident I started in my previous review. I didn't want to but I looked up online and called Bestbuy customer support line for a quote on trading my apple watch series 8 for a trade in for a series 9. Online and on the phone I got a quote of $235. That is an amazing deal and I was going to get a price match thanks to Amazon having the watch for $359. So I decided OK maybe they can redeemed themselves. I go there and they said no it was $175 for the trade-in. I asked why did I get a different quote on the phone? All they said was they do not know and keep in mind I said to customer service on the phone that my watch was aluminum and not stainless steel which my watch is, when I ask about the trade in on the phone. So I miss quoted myself so I should definitely have gotten the $235 trade-in. I should have known that they were going to do that to me. Which is my fault for giving them another chance since they can't keep their policies straight at all. I was so upset I just left the store and wasted my time for nothing. read more

Went in here last Friday to buy two TVs. I knew exactly what I wanted and told the man at the front my intentions. He said he would send someone over. We waited for about 30 minutes, and nobody helped. We asked two more times for assistance and one of the employees said there should be three guys working the TV section but they aren't on the floor. Finally someone came out, I asked two questions and gave him the quickest sale of his life for about 2500 in TVs. He looked irritated as he got the cart to go out back to get them. We waited another 20 minutes, he never came out of the back. So irritated we decided to go somewhere else, mind you we were almost at the store for an hour. Exceptionally rude customer service. I pointed out to a manager that one of the prices listed on a product was half of what they tried to charge me at the register. I went back to double check that someone hadn't moved the product to the wrong rack or that I hadn't misread it. I was correct. The product had same name and barcode number as was on the shelf tag. I tried to be helpful and mention this to the manager as I left, assuming it was a misprint and an easy mistake to make. I've worked retail and it is an easy thing to have happen. He said that someone had put it back on the wrong shelf. I tried to explain that that was not the case and that I had checked for that and he said that it was the "wrong color" and told me to have a nice day. He then turned around and would not keep talking to me. I was shocked and left. I understand that retail can be a difficult business, but that was unacceptable. At best that was absurd laziness and rudeness and at worst it was predatory and illegal business practices. Regardless, that Best Buy will not have my business again. read more

It came. The moment every cell phone user hates. The moment you drop your case less cell phone and the screen crumbles. I decided to go immediately to this Best Buy since I've came to this specific location three times over the past couple of years to either upgrade my husbands phone or replace my broken one. This review is specifically for the Best Buy mobile section of the store. Once I came in someone was quick to attend to me even though it was fairly busy. I told them I was looking to upgrade my iPhone because my old one broke and he ended up calling over an associate who had an iPhone expert badge. Gordon(the iPhone expert) was so helpful! What I appreciated most, was that he didn't belittle my lack of knowledge of technology or lack of knowledge of passwords I should know for my phone etc. He was very patient in advising me and teaching me how to use this new upgraded version of the phone. I'm used to getting a little slack for being young and Not knowing anything but the basics about technology but took the time to teach me in a way that didn't make me feel dumb. I really appreciated that. I came in with a cracked phone and walked out with a new phone with all my apps and pictures within 45 minutes. Not to mention, while we were waiting for me new phone to upgrade the iOS he continued to teach me and just talk. Gordon was a chill dude who was really helpful! read more

Customer service is a complete waste of time. For some reason corporate is completely walled off from the customer. Store Managers also do the same thing. That's why you should not shop there. If you need a problem solved with your purchase, there's no one to help you unless you file a lawsuit or go to the news media. Zach (one of the supposed managers needs a major attitude adjustment) Hoping this was a one time incident, but won't be back to find out - I have been a long time customer and credit card holder of Best Buy and have used the Braintree store many times over the last 20 years. My husband and I went to "buy" a very expensive washer and dryer and stood around waiting for one of the salesmen to help us. One salesman was helping a customer and one seemed to be chatting to the one working (so we weren't even sure he worked in the appliance dept) so after some time of waiting, this man was just standing there so my husband asked if he could come over and help us... the man's attitude right away was "what?" And then just stood there... My husband then had to ask again with an annoyed tone -and basically got the same response but he started to come over BUT at this point I witnessed the man saying "wow" behind my husband's back. I said to the man (I found out later his name is Zach) "no saying wow... what's going on?" He then said to me tell your husband to adjust his attitude.. like pretty much saying "he started it" I asked his name, which was ZACH, and I said you don't talk to a customer that way, and at that point he said we could leave the store now, saying "why don't you just go?" 20 years of loyalty and we get this attitude from a supposed manager??? Horrible way to treat a customer. We were so disregarded like trash. The only silver lining was being able to speak to Dante Williams (who was awesome) but seemed that he could do little to actually remedy the situation. Dante's too good for this place - not sure if Zach is an owner's bratty relative. Never stepping foot in this store again and will tell many people!!! read more

Really Best Buy? My almost 80 year old mom comes in for help with her iPhone because she can't get calls or texts (and upset because her brother had passed away and was trying to get in touch with everyone). I wasn't home to help. They tell her $150...but end up selling her a new phone for even more money instead. The only issue was that the Do Not Disturb setting was on...that was it, a five second fix. Disappointing customer service from a Supervisor and Manager on Duty @ Best Buy store in Braintree, MA. When I asked the store greeter (who I later found out was a Supervisor) where I could pick up the laptop I ordered the week prior, he decided to take a drink and ignore me. When I took the time to share my experience with the Manager on Duty, his body language was saying - I'll listen to you complain and then you can go away. When I expressed how I interpreted his body language, he actually said, "I'm sorry you feel that way, but how I choose to deal with your complaint - is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS." I thought I was in the Twilight Zone. I know he didn't care to listen to my feedback, but those words left me speechless. It's unfortunate that Best Buy Leadership places little value on Customer Service. Perhaps, it's simply an old fashion, out of date concept for them. Sad. Quick Update: I was able to share my experience with the Regional Manager, Kenny Rinehart, who responded in a positive and constructive manner. Going in I did my research on Bluetooth headphones and when I asked the "professional" for his opinion he was telling me the complete opposite of what was true. When I kept correcting him he told me I was wrong... even though I did my research. ON TOP OF THAT I ordered in store because they didn't have the headphones I wanted (that were on display) to be shipped to my house because "those aren't sold in store" (even though they are on display??) and it turns out they never sent my item. When I called multiple times telling them I couldn't track it they reassured me it was coming but come to my surprise it never came because the order was never "fully processed". I asked for a refund and they told me they would send me a check in the mail after 10 business days... when I asked if I could just go into the store to get a refund they said that wasn't possible whatsoever. I waited on hold for 31 minutes without speaking to a human being and then I hung up. I believe this wait time is astronomical and unnecessary. At least offer a call back option. I was looking to purchase a new xbox console for my nephew, but when I arrived I noticed that the cheaper one of the consoles was digital only, so the very nice workers in the front helped me determine which console was right for me. Upon seeing the cost ($600) i decided to wait a week to determine whether he really wanted it. Next weekend I went to buy the console and picked up one of the same cards that had been fully stocked the week before. Please keep in mind that I'm older and it took me quite a long drive to get to this store. The cards were still fully stocked, however when I approached the same front desk as (I had the week prior) I was met with a new worker wearing a different uniform (manager I assume?) who did not greet me, and was very nonchalant about the fact that there was a card representing an available item on the retail floor (that he clearly manages) when that item was, in fact, not in stock. I began dragging myself back to the Xbox section to return the card after this man (sourly) told me that they had none of those consoles available; but then I realized he should have taken the card from me and cleared that rack without question! Do NOT buy your appliances here. We ordered a whirlpool stove that was price matched down to $1000.00 from 1900.00. we then bought the service plan. the total was $1400.00. On 9/24/2021, it was delivered damaged. we noticed 15 mins after the truck had left while unwrapping the stove. MAJOR damage to the control panel area. we called best buy in braintree and best buy.com and was told in order for us to get a replacement right away, they would have to RE-ORDER IT. meaning they charged our card for ANOTHER 1400.00. We then rescheduled pickup and delivery on 9/28/2021. Guess what? the new one was so damaged, that the crew wouldn't even bring it into the house. They also REFUSED to take the damaged one from the friday before. the Reason? "this is a one for one exchange" we call the store in braintree and got the manager who was just opening the store.....he told us to let the drivers go and we would hear back while my wife was talking to BESTBUY.com. in the end, it is now 4:30pm and they refused to come get the damaged stove because they have to wait 24 hours. even though the stove was scheduled for pick up on a seperate order FOR TODAY! mind you, they can not refund our $3000.00 until both stoves make it back to their warehouse. if you can believe it, someone at bestbuy.com told us we need to charge a THIRD stove in order to get one delivered ASAP. ASAP meaning another 5 days. we don't know when the broken stove will be out of our kitchen. best buy is holding 3000 dollars hostage on our credit card and there is NO manager who can speed up the refund process.....we keep being told "we have to wait 24hrs to set up a time to come get the damaged stove".....we already set that time up last week for today. VERY shady practices at best best buy. edit=to make matters worse, Best Buy called us on 9/29/21 to rectify this issue. they promised us they would make it right and get us a new stove friday oct 1st. they gave us a reasonable compensation for all of our troubles. You can't make this stuff up. Best Buy Braintree CANCELED our order. 100% incompetency in that store and BEST BUY's system for handling problems is a complete joke. do NOT buy your appliances here. the drivers who do the delivery have to take pictures of everything they deliver because the BEST BUY warehouse that serves this part of Massachusetts is KNOWN for being a complete problem. read more
