I've seen people complain about not getting prompt service at this Best Buy location, but I've never had an issue. There's almost always been someone at the front to ask if I need help, and I've come here many times. Selection is pretty good for my needs, which are mostly PC accessory/gaming-related. I went to buy a Toshiba 65 in tv. The sign on the tv said 269.99 when the gentleman rang it up it was 299.99. He got the general manger who tried difference ways to bring the price down but his system would let him. I bought the tv for 299.99 they loaded it in my truck and the general manger came out and asked if he could have my receipt he said he thought he could do a store credit since I paid for it. You can never get waited on. The person in the cell phone area is always talking to someone and the workers up front are always huddled up talking to each other. This has happened several times so I will never be back. read more

I tried to call them on the phone to see if a few items I needed were in stock. I came to find out they don't actually have a store number. You can't contact the store without having a managers cell phone number. Turns out, I was on the phone with a call center worker who has no clue what's in stock and what's not. He ensured me they had what I needed in stock and when I got to the store, sure enough it wasn't in stock. Why is it impossible for me to contact the actual store for information?? read more

We were in the area so we decided to stop into Best Buy. I'm slowly disliking Best Buy more and more as I was hoping this store might be different. Best Buy use to be my favorite store and I could go in there once a week and come out with something. As we went in I noticed right a way we were the only customers in there with at least 10 employees hanging out doing nothing. I don't know, but I just didn't see much in that store............. There is a day and night difference in the Columbus and Greenwood In Best Buy. The cell phone staff were so pleasant and helpful with the replacement phone I received. The spent a great deal of time taking the sim card out and setting up my phone. They had to contact sprint to get the numbers attached to my refurbished phone. This took quite.a while to do but the phone people knew.what to so to get.my phone to work and were just the nicest people. It was a great experience. I was almost never going back to a.best.buy but.i ll.go back to this one.for.any of my purchases. Staff was so helpful. If you read my Greenwood yelp you will drive to Columbus and.make.the trip. Needed help finding something I bought a bout 6 months ago. I was looking for a particular laptop charger and wanted to buy another one. The front desk employee had no helpful advice and didn't ask any guiding questions to help me. When we asked to look up the purchase at customer service the employee asked if we could let someone else in front of us to quickly check them out. She went on to explore the store with the person we let in front of us. I felt like no one really cared about helping me. It took so long to find anything and I didn't even get the think I needed. No information about where to buy it even though it was right on their shelf the last time. They were able to find it after all, but the person at the front desk told me the wrong aisle both times. It was the same person both times, and I never felt like they wanted to actually help me find anything. Isn't it your job to know where things in the store are when people ask you for help? I've worked in the service industry in the past and I'm also a teacher. I know just how hard it can be working with other people. It comes with unique challenges every time. I typically don't like to write negative reviews, but I really felt like this trip to the store for one charger didn't need to take 45 minutes. The store was not busy. read more

When I walked in the door all the employees were standing at the front door talking to one another. Not wanting to interrupt their convo I walked around with one employee saying if you need any help, just let us know. I needed help with a vacuum so I walked back to the front and asked the lady just sitting there if anyone was able to help in that department. She was really snarky and said, that's why we asked you when you came in if you needed help. I really don't think her rudeness was necessary! A simple, yes I can have someone help you with that would have been fine. I gave 2 stars only bc the guy did his best effort in helping even though he didn't know much about vacuums. I'm not that old being 36 but I used to remember them having people in different departments that actually knew about the products and that was why we were willing to pay the extra money for their help and knowledge. I scheduled an appointment, per the bidding of the Apple Overloads, with Best Buy since they are the only Authorized iPhone Service Center around. Once I arrived I stood around for 5 minutes before the tech came from the back of the shop and asked what I needed. I told him I had an appointment to have my iPhone X battery replaced. After running the unnecessary tests required by the Apple Overlords the tech informed me that he's not sure if they have my battery in stock. After looking he confirmed that I had made an appointment and showed up for nothing. The cherry on top was that the tech informed me that they couldn't order parts from Apple, and that Apple just ships them product randomly. The decision of the Apple overlords to use Best Buy as an authorized repair center only works if you can actually get the phones repaired there... read more

I've been a long time Best Buy costumer and will most likely never set foot in one again. Dropped my car off at 10am for a speaker and amp install with geek squad (Columbus, In) supposed to be done by 6:00pm. Come to pick it up and it wasn't ready. Waited until 9pm. Asked for the store manager and was treated horribly, offered no refund and left with a car stereo that did not work at all ( worked when I came in). Best Buy & Geek Sqaud) should be embarrassed. Will not be returning for anything. The manager was incredibly unprofessional and just rude from the start. I wish 0 stars was a possibility. read more

At first glance this business may seem okay. The employee were nice and did help us out at first. However we bought two screen protectors for our smart watches. At the time of checking out no one offered to help us apply the product. It turns out that when we tried to do it ourselves it didn't quite work out. We went back to talk about getting replacements to get what we paid for. Just to be informed that someone should have offered to put our screen protectors on for us. So that being said they couldn't do anything for us. Even though its their fault no one offered us. So our visit was pretty much a 42 dollars thrown away and a waste of our time. All in all I'm pretty disappointed with the customer service when it comes to a problem here. So this will be my first and last stop here. read more

I give them no stars. they are crooks and may as well have stolen my money. On May 22, 2018 I purchased a new phone, a new computer, and a wi-fi hot spot from Best buy in Columbus, Indiana. Paid $50.00 for a Verizon wifi and purchased a data card for $60.00 as well to power the wi-fi. purchase total was almost $600.00 that day. Got home and the wi-fi would not work. only one bar out of four for my house when their map clearly showed four bars of coverage. Took the wi-fi box back next day and explained what had happened and they said "sorry" that will be between "you" and "Verizon". So I'm out $110.00 on the Wi-Fi and data card. Found out Best Buy is a huge agency for Verizon. Called Verizon and spent almost two hours on the phone before they relinquished the $60.00 dollar data card toward funding my phone. Manager at Best Buy was a wise ass when he thought to offer me literally a few cents from his own pocket to "assuage" my anger as a refund. Swear to God if he were closer to my age(64) I would have waited outside at closing time and kicked his Millenial ass! Punk bastard! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER will I order anything through them again. Customer service is the worst EVER. I ordered a $700 TV stand they have scheduled delivery 4 times and have canceled to reschedule 4 times. every time they reschedule I'm told it's in the warehouse now, every time they cancel they say it's not in the warehouse yet. Online chat 3 times, called 3 times. Managers claim "I don't know". First time they called the morning of and I already took off work, second time was night before and I changed plans to be there. Third time they didn't even bother to call - I called them when they didn't show. This was the last straw. They were supposed to deliver tomorrow and after I received a text saying it would be here they call to say it will now be end of the week. I brought in an iPod touch to be repaired under their Black Tie warranty. I was told that i would be getting a brand new Touch and i specifically requested to have my merchandise sent to the store for pick up since I was out of town. Well, the store decided to just send my package to my home address in Chicago of which I was nowhere near at that time. The manager acted like I needed to come up with a solution. By far the absolute worst customer service and satisfaction that I have ever received from any Best Buy store. Do not trust the GeekSquad with your repair. They seem to send your merchandise wherever they feel like and then pass the buck. Terrible store that has no future. read more

Far and away the best Geek Squad experience I've ever had at a Best Buy -- Columbus was leaps and bounds better than Kokomo or Westfield's Best Buy. The associate took the time to listen to me, diagnosed my computer's problem in a timely manner, and assured me that it would be fixed and returned quickly. The only downside was that there was only one Geek Squad worker there, and there were a few of us waiting in line, but the service once I got to the front of the line was excellent. read more

The Thursday night "Black Friday" line to check out literally took 70 mins. They had what I wanted but this line is ridiculous. Its being very poorly managed, funneling every customer to one area to check out. They could be using the checkouts n the other departments instead of running everyone like cattle to the front. I totally appreciate the assistance that I got from the Geek Squad. I was having a problem with some video software (purchased at Best Buy- but my computer was not). It did take a bit of time to get to talk with the Geek Squad (since several people were in line, with only 2 technicians available). Once I spoke to the young man and explained the issue, he was very helpful (and scilisited assistance from someone else too) an worked through the software issue until my problem was fixed. The asstiance was greatly appreciated. I was on a deadline, and he saved my work as well as showed me how to resolve the problem. read more
