I need to rely on this place more often. Went in after spending an hour at sprint looking for either an Micro SIM card or an adapter tray. The sales rep at the phone stand said that he might be able to help me. Apparently they have a cutting device there to make micro sims nano sims. He had the outline of one such simcard in the cutter, shaved it down to fit my phone and gave it to me. PROBLEM SOLVED!!! I thought I overheard his name was Craig. So I thank you for that! I go to this store to buy a LG TV. Looking for a basic 50" TV for my bedroom. I have a model picked out that is on sale and am directed to the "LG representative". He up sells me -"the TV I chose was a "holiday" tv put together with misc parts and why wouldn't you spend $20 more for this tv?" then slowly walks back to get me the tv. After 10 minutes he slowly comes through the doors dragging the tv on the floor. Yes dragging it. I grab the tv and go to the front to checkout and then I am told that I need to wait for the LG representative to come up and check me out. He comes up, rings me up, is annoyed that I don't have a Best Buy account and that I don't want to sign up for one then drops my receipt on the counter and walks off. You wonder why people buy from Amazon? Experiences like this with people that obviously don't want to be at work. Bait-and-Switch on AppleCare+ Coverage--Loss/Theft Not Honored I'm not someone who buys care plans often. At purchase, the salesperson pushed AppleCare+ and explicitly told me multiple times it would cover loss/theft on my AirPods. Because I had just lost one bud, I asked for confirmation at least five times. On that basis, I bought the 2-year AppleCare+ plan for $29 on $179 AirPods. Fast-forward one year: when I tried to use the plan for a lost AirPod, I was told loss/theft isn't covered for AirPods. To make matters worse, Billy in the store's care department wouldn't even escalate my call. That's not an honest misunderstanding--that's misrepresentation at the point of sale. I paid for coverage I was told existed and later discovered it does not. Bottom line: Don't trust the sales pitch without written proof. Do not fall for this scheme. Save your money. read more

I went into the store to buy a computer. The upselling was unbearable! The salesman tried to sell me his choice of computer ( even though I knew what I wanted) along with all the insurances and gift cards that I should buy. So, I went to this Best Buy to grab a battery bank and USB drive but since the store was so vast, my guy Calvin showed me to where of said products were. Super great. I check out go back to my bike, as I had just been on local rail trail. Unfortunately my brake line had come off its holder and was sheering against the rear tire. I go to Geek Squad desk, by the grace of divine might it's my guy Calvin. I tell him what's up, with skipping a beat he runs in the back and grabs me some electrical tape. Proceeds to walk with me outside the store to help me out. All and all we do the quick fix and Calvin made my day just being an outstanding gentleman. It's people like Calvin that do these small innocuous things, that really help another person out. If I was a Best Buy general manager at Framingham I would consider a serious promotion for this absolute fantastic gentleman . read more

I bought a fridge for 1800 from BestBuy, 4-days delivery. The tech came today with the fridge, and his behavior was unfriendly to say the least. He barely talked to me. I asked him what to do with the groceries in the fridge, and he expressed his annoyance that the fridge is not empty even though there was nothing about emptying the fridge in the instructions that they sent me. His manner of talking was arrogant and made sure to show his attitude. I doubt that he would talk like this if it would be a male client. He told me that I needed to shut down the water. I told him that it's in the basement, he was unhappy about it. I asked him to take a look with me at where the valve could be, or where the water shut down for the house should be. He refused to help and was grumpy again. I told him that I would figure it out and called the plumber. Then someone from BestBuy called telling that they couldn't finish the installation (by that time the tech spend less than 10 minutes in the house). I asked to give me some time, told them that I am calling the plumber, and that I am very unhappy about how he talks to me. And after it the tech just left without telling me that he was going to leave. Then an agent from Best Buy called me. At first, he said that they would deliver it the other day. I complained about their service and asked to finish installation the same day. He told me to find plumber's phone, shut down the water and call him once it's done so that they resolve the issue. He left his phone and name. I closed the water and emptied the system a few minutes later and called the BestBuy number that was left for me. Nobody could tell me who Chris was. I had to spend another 10 minutes explaining the issue. The new agent said that he couldn't figure out who talked to me, that they could schedule fridge delivery only on the other day. He said that the case was marked as open and Chris should have known that nothing could be done. He also told me that I can't talk to his manager or escalate it, that he doesn't have any contacts, that he will just record the complaint and someone will contact me in 24 hours. I asked him to organize a call from the manager same day, nobody called me back. Their system kept sending me text messages every few minutes (even after requesting a refund) that I needed to reschedule, and the next window for delivery was in 6 days. I texted an agent on the web site chat and asked to finish delivery the same day. The agent offered to schedule it on Saturday (in 2 days) from 7 am to 7 pm (12 hours, yes). I asked to get a refund; they said that they can start processing it in 24 hours. And then I received notification from bank that they charged me 40 dollars for second delivery (that hasn't happened). They promised to return full amount. I will never deal with them again. I ordered appliances from Amazon, Lowes, and Home Depot before, never had any issues. I wouldn't probably so frustrated with their service if not their tech and his attitude. read more

This store deosn't even stock basic USB cables for connecting iPods and iPhones to chargers. This is basic equipment that is readily available on Amazon and Ebay and even in gas stations. The salesman was completely useless in assisting me, and had no idea whatsever how to source what I needed. This is absolutely pathetic, it's like going to a supermarket that doesn't stock milk or bread. Do the world a favor and buy online. Only when these brick and mortar locations are completely put out of business by their online competitors will they might finally get it through their thick skulls to actually stock basic products that everyday customers need, and not treat their customers like dirt. Went to purchase Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 advertised offer at Best Buy (see photos). After much effort (trading in ipad) made it to checkout only to find register not showing free slim keyboard. Got them to give me back my ipad and left after being told there was nothing they could do about the offer. Called the store spoke to manager AJ McHale who told me to hire a lawyer after I told him that they had to honor the advertisement because that's the law in MA. Very poor customer service. read more

On a Black Friday they were over staffed with mediocre service reps standing around the store. Asked 2 guys to find an in-stock item I had on my phone. BOTH responded, "I can't help you" (didn't even apologize or direct me to someone who could help). When I wandered around long enough to find someone standing around, he curtly asked what I needed help with. Gave him the SKU, to which he said, "stay here". I followed him anyways, and thanked him regardless. This is a self-service store, with no attempts at winning over customers from online competitors. read more

I've bought many things at this store over the last 20 years. I was in the store at 10:00 AM on a Tuesday looking to buy a new television. Since nobody was in the department was around I asked at the front if they could send somebody over. Waited for 10 minutes and nobody came. I asked a second employee and nobody came. Two salespeople were right next to me dealing with appliances and didn't acknowledge me. My impression is they have a wide selection of stuff, but are seriously understaffed probably due to staff cutbacks or maybe I was there too early. I recently had to return an unopened sealed item ordered thru BestBuy.com and was a few days beyond the return date. The online chat agent was very helpful and said no problem and said I should return it in store and gave me a reference ID number to speed up the process. I left work early to do the retrun and the sales associate was very helpful but needed a manager over ride. When Nicole the manager came, she refused the return even though I told her it was a a few days late, the product was sealed, I was a TotalTech member, and the online chat agent had already approved it. She said "online corporate does not have control what we do as a store and if they allowed the return, I should contact them and get a shipping label". She refused to listen to my case and show any compassion. Total waste of time. I came home and spoke with the online supervisor Luis and he was apologetic about the way I was treated and made it happen. BestBuy.com is great-be careful about BestBuy in Framingham.... read more

My laptop died for lack of power with a fast-approaching three hour deadline for the start of a speech. My powercord was missing a piece. There was no way I could access my PowerPoint for the speech. I went to Best Buy and spoke with Lily of their computer department and she was so nice and calm (I wasn't!), got me a universal adapter power cord, set it up to ensure that the laptop now had adequate power. On top of that, just to make certain I had a backup, I asked me to place the PowerPoint on a USB, which she did easily. Time from ask to job completion: 12-15 minutes. I was in a pinch. Technology is great - when it works. When it doesn't and the clock is running, well then... Lily is a lovely young woman who knows her stuff, is super nice, helpful - and calm. I bought a supposedly new Roku TV for full price (unfortunately) at Best Buy, Framingham. I get it home, unbox it, and after a bit of effort, get it mounted on the wall. As I'm setting up the TV, I realize it has someone else's Roku account with their e-mail address already in the system. Clearly, the TV was a returned item - being sold as brand new, not open box, not a clearance item - simply a Best Buy rip-off. Rather than go through all the trouble of dismounting and repackaging the TV (I had cut up the box in the meantime for recycling), I restored the TV to factory settings, but my disappointment in Best Buy cannot be so easily restored. read more

I can see why they are rated a 2 star business. The management is awful. No customer service skills at all. The manager I dealt with would not answer my questions choosing to corporate speak me instead. Their return policy is not very consumer friendly. No one told me the policy at the time of purchase. It's not posted anywhere in the store. It's written on the receipt. Now I find that very deceptive and unfair. The manager who's name is Robert was rude and didn't even pretend to care about my situation and genuinely seemed pleased with himself telling me that he was not going to do anything to help me. I'm not a big electronics person and I would never buy appliances from an electronics store. Terrible return policy rude poorly trained manager I will never ever set foot in any Best Buy again. My job requires me to talk to a lot of people. I plan on telling everyone I encounter how awful best buy is. P.S. You should really treat your customers better and review your policy. Poor customer service. Went through several departments obviously looking for specific items. No one asked if I needed help., limited selection of stock. Picked up computer cable, proceeded to checkout. Line six deep for single cashier who was also responsible for returns. Someone was returning a TV - cashier had to remove everything from box, inspect, etc. evidently there was a problem because he had to summon help. No one came to help him. Left the cable on the front desk where there used to be a greeter/security person and left. Went from Best Buy to Staples to buy a better cable from a much more helpful store. Doubt I will be back - can't imagine how they will treat customers who need repairs/support if this is how they support sales. read more

Bought a new tower computer at Best Buy Framingham. It crashed at the operating system level after a few days, and Best Buy told me I had to buy a $200 service contract. I did. It crashed 2 more times after that, and they finally agreed to send me a new replacement, but I had to pay an additional $40. So the computer cost $240 MORE than the list price, and I spent days running back and forth. A few months later my husband decided to return to buy a laptop. They told him he would "save" $65 if he got a Best Buy credit card. However ... they didn't deduct the $65, they sent him a coupon instead several weeks later. We went to use the coupon today - you have to spend $65 or MORE to use it. I had $60 worth of items and they wouldn't accept it. I said to keep the $5, but they said no. All the candy is gone from the front of the store, even single batteries and single face masks were $12 each. We spent an hour trying to find something for $5 and it was impossible. They really work hard to squeeze you for every cent they can. BUYERS BEWARE. read more

This review is primarily for Geek Squad/TotalTech of the Framingham Best Buy store. I love the Total Tech service at this store. The people are great - attentive, patient, and knowledgeable(or they know where to find the answers). It is well worth the investment. It's easy to make an appointment - I have had appointments many times at the store but also have made 3 appointments for them to come to my house. After every single appointment I have been 100%+++ satisfied. As for the retail part of the store, like any large store/chain, there might be a few people who aren't that customer-focused but whenever I have had a question or needed helping making a purchase the employees have been very nice and helpful. My only disappointment is the store hours - they don't open until 11am and they close at 7pm. read more

Well I have been here several times. Looking for what I need I usually am able to find what I want at a pretty decent price. However calling they good luck you either can't get in touch with them on numbers listed or it take a ton of time and sometimes you get someone who is off shore who is hard to understand. Then there is the Geek Squad they do a decent job but they are always trying to get you to go into the highest level what they offer to fix items. I rather spend on just my computer geek contract annually. My other products normally work fine please don't push your bigger contracts on me to me they are not worth it. read more

Went in today to exchange an Apple Watch that I had received. 4 out of 5 employees were really helpful. In particular, the guy in the apple department was a bit of a dick. Shout out to Marilyn and Kendra for making this a pleasant experience and turning this into a 4 star review. Apple Watch selection is limited but I was able to order the one I want and have it shipped to my house free of charge. And it will be here in 3 days! They have an amazing appliance selection. Ok so the add for a $100 Sony camera caught our attention and then YES...we bought the more expensive one. But hey the point and shot Sony camera really does take great photos with 20mp and super zoom. Low light panoramic shots. It is easy to use and I am loving it and I just got it. Got the geek protection and we'll see if I still like it in a year. The sales clerk was nice, answered our questions and was helpful but not pushy. Got the camera, extra battery, bag and storage quick and easy. Sold! I am glad I got it as I am usually disappointed with pics from my phone. read more

Do not buy electronics or appliances from Best Buy. There are so many places to purchase that will save you time and frustration. I purchased two wide screen tvs, washer and dryer and fridge. Wow what a nightmare the fridge was. It took four scheduled deliveries to finally get a fridge that was not damaged. I realize stuff happens but customer service lied to me so often that i came to realize it was actually normal business practices for Best Buy. When I escalated to supervisor, he lied too. Really surprised as i chose Best Buy for my appliances and electronics as it is a well known. Just dont do it. read more
