I never go to Best Buy because I never have good experiences with them but today I went to this one for work and a gentlemen named Walker did such an amazing job. He helped me set up everything I needed on the Best Buy website for my organization. He saved me time and made it possible for me to buy the television I needed. He shows up 1 minute before the end of the window time and he just left with my delivery. He lied and said I cursed at him as his reason for leaving, which is a lie. I recently was advised by Geek Squad to purchase a replacement laptop part through Amazon, bring it back to them and they would install it. Three weeks later, I bring the part and they take 2+ hours to tell me that they can't fix it and would need to send it off. Little did I know, they rendered the whole laptop unusable and said NOTHING when I picked it up! Nothing! We buy our appliances and electronics at BestBuy in Georgetown. However you can not ever get through to a Best Buy directly. All calls are directed to the Pflugerville office and after being on hold for a long time, your rerouted to the store, only to get disconnected. Employees have even said they cant get through if they need to call in. We have noticed this change for over a year. Best Buy does have some good employees but the phone system really sucks, and as I'm sure like others who have experienced this, we will start going elsewhere for appliances and electronics. read more

I tried real hard to talk with customer service about the General Manager Christopher Crowe - who is in the wrong career. He has a real bad attitude. We had a great experience with Dylan - but the product we bought (laptop) would not even power-up. This was after windows had been reinstalled when it would not power up in the store. We were told to return to the store today and ask for Mr Crowe. He is the most unhelpful person I have met in the store and he offered two choices - return it or leave it with him to have his geek team. I told him that the team was already aware of this problem and he was too. He said he knew nothing - and you know, he is right .He knows nothing..... I called customer service to lodge a complaint - time to wait - 2 hours I called corporate office - time to wait -- 2 hours. read more

Everyone probably has had bad experiences with best buys. Overall I am not a big best buy fan, as I think their prices are way marked up and their price matching sucks. However, We had a great experience here. Staff was helpful, energetic and knew their ordering systems. We had several discounts and coupons to be applied and a return to process. All was done quickly and without any hassle. In fact, we processed a return which left us with a gift card we didn't want. The manager was kind enough to take back the gift card and give us cash. Managers do have several privileges and can use their discretion when it comes to discounts, price matching and returns. They were nice enough to do all for us. Moreover, we were buying a big ticket item so they were patient and gave us time and space to decide. Georgetown staff is awesome, I'd recommend this location for important purchases. read more

Two cashiers no one at check out, they call for help. 10mins later, no one. But the geek squad guy helps everyone else around us. Then two female workers helping 1 person with gift cards at the display. Seriously best buy??? Oh, and let's top it off that the store was not busy (had some people) and the cashier tried to make excuses about how busy the place was and that associates are busy setting up for black Friday. I dropped off my laptop and was told the repair time was 1-2 weeks. It has now been over a month with no update on my device. Only after I've called twice and asked about it did someone call me back a couple days later to tell me that they couldn't get my part in and are sending back my laptop unfixed. My wife got me a "Total Tech Support" for Xmas last year. I was happy about it until I went to use it. What a waste of $200. Don't be fooled by the BS they try and sell you. They wouldn't cover 99 % of the stuff they say they do. When I asked for my money back they said it was past the 30 days, so I got nothing and got screwed by Best Buy. We have frequented this Georgetown location a few times. Most recently was for an open box Samsung Smart TV that we absolutely love that we got for almost half the price because it was the display. SOLD. NO problems with it, great picture. It was missing a cord but we ended up coming back to buy one this past weekend. The mobile installer at this location is awesome! Highly recommend his services. When you call for an appt, ask specifically for the installer, the people who answer the phones have no idea about his schedule, installing fees, etc So don't hold that against him. read more

Drove to Round Rock and was told they only repair Samsung phones....not tablets. Called Georgetown store to tell them so they stopped sending customers to Round Rock. Received only an "ok". The Best Buy email that seemed to come from corporate said they would be handing out tickets at 7am. So I got my butt up here at 5:30, in anticipation for that line to form only to find comes 7am they walked in. Someone asked the guy about tickets and got the response that it doesn't matter cause we'd have to wait here in line still. Wasn't until 8am that someone who seemed to be a manager (named Hans) came out to count. We ask how many they have, to which he sarcastically reply "Multiple." Went to this store and purchased an open box refrigerator from the showroom floor. The day it was scheduled to be delivered the window was supposed to be 7:00am-1:00pm. They finally showed up at almost 3:00pm. When my husband asked (politely) why it was so much later and he never even received a courtesy call or text to let him know they would be late (took a whole day off work to wait) the delivery man said "I don't work for you and told him to F' off and you aren't getting your refrigerator today". He went to leave and he and the second delivery driver proceeded to curse out my husband in the driveway and left with our refrigerator. Husband called the GM at the store we purchased from. He set up delivery for the next day.. take another whole day off work.. delivery gets there and it's not the item we purchased. The serial numbers don't match and this one is all banged up and damaged. Husband calls GM back who proceeds to argue that it's the correct item until husband sends him a picture of the serial number of the one we bought that clearly is not the same one. They can't find the one we bought ( I'm sure it's because it's in someone else's house). Go back to the store the next day, after all of this GM is not helpful, acts like he couldn't care less. So three weeks later and two whole days off work and we still do not have a refrigerator. At this point just taking the refund and leaving because why would I want to give any of my money to this place after the way we have been treated ? It's too bad because the salesman (Gary) is awesome and super helpful and the other employees including management are terrible and they cost him sales. Also literally standing in the store now and they "having trouble processing the refund". Least surprising thing ever. I am not leaving until I have a receipt for the refund, can't trust them to do anything correctly. Lastly, the unhelpful GM, Chris Crowe, is the same one mentioned over and over again in the other bad reviews for this store. The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE POSSIBLE My relative is dying of cancer & asked for a better TV for his room, for the little time he has remaining. So, with his consent & credit card, I bought a TV, wall mount & cable. Prices were lower on Amazon. But I bought from Best Buy so that I could pick it up & install it the same day. My purchase confirmation (sent to MY email address) stated that I would need an ID to pick up the order. So, I contacted Best Buy via phone AND chat to find out how I could pick them up. The chat session took 20 minutes & the phone call almost as long. Both said I would need to add myself to the pickup via the web site 'order details'. I did exactly as instructed, successfully adding my name to the wall mount & cable. But for some reason, Best Buy's web site would not allow me to be added on the TV. I tried several times to no avail. However, since all 3 items were purchased at the same time with the same card and the same order #, and 2 out of 3 had my name listed as the pickup person, surely they wouldn't question my picking up the TV as well. But they did. I explained it all. But the manager was either unable to grasp the simplicity of it or too rude to care. Either way, it's the kind of "Customer Care" we've come to expect from Best Buy. So, don't be surprised when Amazon puts them out of business. Thanks to this incompetent manager refusing to release the TV, I canceled the entire order, went straight home & bought it all from Amazon. (For a lower price, no hassle & free delivery.) Beware the return policy when ordering something. The 15 day window for returns begins the day the order is placed - not when the item is picked up. Any delays and you have to deal with the manufacturer. They have good sale prices. Access to Best Buy is a little strange but good restaurants nearby while you wait, and wait. Do not purchase appliances from Best Buy. The appliances were delivered on time however the person that was to install our gas stove did not have the right size fitting to install it. We were told we had to purchase the correct fitting from Home Depot and then to call and schedule a service call and they would come out and install. I called back to schedule my service call for Tuesday 3/29/2016 it was from 7am to 7pm. No one called the day before to verify so I called Tuesday morning and was told they would be out sometime later in the day. No one showed up. I called the appliance customer care team to figure out what happened and no one had an answer just told me they would assign me a case manager. I spoke with the case manager and he told me that he would try to figure out what happened. I didn't receive a call back the next day so when I got off work I called me case manager. He was not at his desk so it routes to the next person available. The first person hung up on me. I called back and spoke with a very rude woman. She told me the only person I could speak with is my case manager. I asked to speak to her manager and she stated I could only speak with my case manager. She explained to me that I was at the corporate level and the only person I could speak with is my case manager. I work for a corporate company I know how it works. I stated so you are telling me there is no one above you, you don't have a manager. She said I didn't say that. I said you are telling me that I can't speak with anyone above you. She said correct you can only speak to you case manager. This is the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with. Finally after going in circles with her I allowed her to leave a message and have my case manager call me back. He called me back to tell me that he scheduled another service call for 4/7/2016. Over a week later... Are you kidding me?! Oh but we won't charge you. Yeah it was free to begin with. No favors done here. They're installation team is worthless and their customer service is terrible. I have now taken off an entire day of work for an appointment no one showed up to, or even called to tell me it was cancelled and have spent about 2 1/2 hours on the phone trying to resolve this. Best Buy does not care about their customers. I HIGHLY recommend purchasing any of your appliances from Home Depot. They are much more knowledgeable, have spectacular customer service and they care about their customers. read more

The management at this store is the worst i have seen from any other place of business i have been to. We Purchased a Refrigerator from here about a Month back. it did not work out of the box. I called and wanted to get an exchange, they were trying to get me to return it and get something else that was more money. Knowing i work for a Government Entity, I told them we have a fixed budget and i cannot go above the price we paid for the appliance. All i wanted to do was get it exchanged. They said they did not have any in stock and the closest one is in Louisiana. I agreed to have them ship it to the store and we could pick it up. They said it would take about a week to get it... Its been nearly a month and they never call me to give me status on it. They have left me in the dark with no info what so ever. I called them recently and asked to speak to a "Manager" and the person who answered the phone said they would go get them. Instead i get this young girl on the phone that is being an intermediary for the manager. IF i wanted to talk to her i would have asked for her. I then asked to speak directly to the manager. after a brief hold the manager got on the line and then began to explain she was with other customers. Now i understand if you are with someone that is fine. But if i ask to speak to you don't give me someone else. Tell me you are with someone and ask me to hold. i am more understanding if you explain to me that you are with someone and you will be with me shortly, instead of jumping on me for taking you away from them. The 3 Managers there, Beth, Hans, and the GM Chris are worthless! they do nothing to help you. They did nothing to go above and beyond helping us to get a replacement refrigerator. I feel they do not care about the customer and they are just there to point the finger and tell people what to do. They are part of the reason why Best Buy is not doing so well. read more

this review is rather long overdue but better late than never right? we purchased our samsung fridge here and we received top-notch service from everyone at BestBuy. in particular "Ike" was amazing in helping us. his energy was amazing and his knowledge truly helped with our final decision. (was deadlocked between samsung and lg). Because we received $1000 worth of BB gift cards in small increments, i know it was a pain for Ike to handle the transaction. however, he smiled through it and in fact encouraged us that it was no big deal. we really felt bad... since then, we've been at this location numerous times and the 'wow' experience by various BB employees have been non-stop. even though there's a BB in Round Rock, i will continue to shop at this location... yes the store is a bit dim but i'd rather go here than another brighter BB with less than stellar customer experience. read more

I LOVE this store! Seriously employees ROCK...Barney over in electronics is always a great help and Beth (Manager) always does right by me. Yesterday I purchased an LG DVD Blue Ray entertainment system and when I got home I hooked it all up but was having a hard time getting the TV sound to come through the speakers. (It did for a movie but not for the regular TV) Anyway--I called, the guy pulled up my TV purchase in the system so that he could help me and walked me through it. That's AWESOME service IMO. I wasn't expecting that but I got it and it really saved me time, energy and most importantly FRUSTRATION lol. I highly recommend this store--plus it's close to my house. read more

Walked into their store on December 12th to order a Iphone 7 plus and they were completely out at that store and all the area stores in the Austin Area while they are RUNNING a PROMOTION on Iphone 7's!!! So i got on my phone and called Bestbuy.com and asked them if the $250 Best Buy Gift card will be eligible online, since they were out in the stores and the rep said yes and didn't document that call!!! So i ordered it and called Bestbuy.com when it came in and asked when i would get the gift card and they said as soon as i activate the phone. Did that and then they told me I was no longer eligible for that promotion. In-Store Management did nothing but suck out about 4 hours of my time and NO SOLUTION!! They were like the 3 Stooges!!!!
