I was in here today looking for something very specific. They told me they didn't have it. Which is cool and kind of expected They are in the midst of a renovation which is awesome! I've always liked bestbuy and thought they could always expand and get better in some ways. This is looking like it's happening. I'm actually excited to see what the renovations bring and maybe they can find the piece I'm looking for!! Keep it up!! Oh. Forgot to mention. They have a lot of smoking hot deals on right now. I ordered a dash cam/rear cam combo for curb side pickup. After spending $650 on it and seeing it's the wrong one on pick up they tell me I need to contact the 1-800 number and return it. After calling they tell me it's a 3-4 week waiting period for my money and if purolator damages the product or if porch pirates take it before it's picked up I won't get anything back. I would assume that reading is a skill needed to work here but that was obviously not the case. DO NOT use this place for curb side pick up because you have a great chance of getting the wrong product. read more

I bought a laptop from Best Buy online and after having it for one week, discovered that it was a USED laptop! How did I find out? I got a notification that my warranty was about to expire! Therefore, someone had purchased this laptop a year ago and returned it. Who knows how long they had it?? I suggest you look closely at your purchase when buying anything from Best Buy. read more

Best buy has gone through many layouts over the years since it first set up shop in Canada. It's more of a display for what their website is selling. Great if you wanna see first hand and examine the higher end products, sucks for everything else. In store stock seems low for advertised sales. Always check the website first to make sure the store has what you want in stock. The staff is good at helping find things. Stores are unfortunately under staffed. read more

Generally I haven't had the best experience with Best Buy stores, however this one seems to slowly be getting better. I've had experiences where I'd ask them if they have something, they'd tell me they don't, and after looking around I've found the item myself. Lately, they seem to at least eventually check with you as to whether or not you've found what you're looking for, and the cashiers seem to have gotten friendlier. I now consider this location to be nearing "half decent" in my books :-D read more

I can't get over how much Best Buy has been impressing me. I thought after Future Shop closed , customer service would be dismal but it's been to the contrary. The returns department is fast and efficient and very pleasant to deal with, the same goes with the pick up department. I pre ordered a product on line for pick up. By surprise I receive a call about 10 minutes later telling me that my product was ready for pick up. I was blown away. I've never experienced that before. The service reps in the tech department are always so helpful and friendly as well . I love shopping at this Best Buy. The prices are fair and they price match so you can't really lose. On line shopping is also a breeze and my products come so quickly. Keep it up Best Buy and I'll be a loyal customer for ever ! read more

I am currently going through the worst "customer service" experience in my life with Best Buy Canada. I use the term customer service here very lightly, as it is more like give the customer the run-around until they get really frustrated and give up. Anyway, my dear sister got me a Toshiba TV last December for my birthday, and it died last month. I called Best Buy and they said they only have a 30 day warranty on TVs! 30 days on a TV. Really! So basically it's covered long enough for you to set it up and binge watch a few shows on Netflix, and then you're on your own. Geez. The Best Buy person then told me to call Toshiba to see if they would do anything for me. When I finally got through to Toshiba they told me they had a 1 year manufacturer's warranty, and for me to call Best Buy's Geek Squad. I did this and they referred me to London Audio and Visual, who does the repairs for Best Buy. A few days later I got a call from LA&V saying there are no repair parts for that model TV, and they will call Best Buy to apprise them of the situation. So, I wait and wait. No call from Best Buy. So, I call them and go through the hoops of trying to talk to an actual person. Finally I get someone and they say they will call me back. More waiting. I finally call again for what seems like the 20th time, and they tell me to bring the receipt to any BB store and they will give me a new TV. "Do I need to bring in the old TV", I ask. "No, just thee receipt". So, I go to Maisonville BB today with my receipt just to be told that they cannot give me a new TV until they talk to Toshiba, and I need to bring in the old TV. By this time I was ready to strangle someone. If it had been Amazon or Walmart I likely would have had a replacement TV weeks ago. Best Buy has lost me as a customer forever. I hope Amazon puts you out of business Best Buy, and you go to retail Hell. If I do not get a positive response from Best Buy within the next few days I am going to bring in the old TV and make sure they will need a big clean-up at customer service. read more

I was lied to directly from a manager regarding a warrenty only to get the truth once I disclosed I used to work for the company. This manager even went as far as to point out a medical condition I have, ask what my problem was and when I explained he laughed in my face and called my a liar and i quote "there's nothing wrong with you" I originally went in looking for a simple replacement cord. I couldn't find it, but what I did find was two best buy employees hiding away busy playing clash of clans while the second was busy looking on ebay on their cell phones. I was not greeted by either of the two, instead I had to interrupt their web browsing to ask for help. Once the product location was found and unfortunately out of stock, I again had to ask if it could be looked up rather than that being offered from the employee. I don't know who works for who, when the customer has to lead the salesmen around and gave him basics that should be a no brainier from day one. Based on the disturbance I caused with the manager, and I use that word loosely and he managed nothing. He went as far as banning me not only from the north location but the south as well. I was very annoyed, First off I have to drive an hour to get there . Fellow at the door was helpful so maybe I'll adjust with a second star, young man with the geek squad was also polite and did his best. But I still came away from this with no satisfaction at all. I bought a Mac book pro from this store less than a week ago with a 3 year warranty For My daughter at Christmas. she used it for 2 days and a bubble appeared on the screen. Well needless to say I figured this was something that may be covered under the 3 year warranty, well apparently it isn't. I was told that accidents aren't covered. Maybe I'm the Dumb one year If I'd said I put the bubble on the screen on purpose would it have been Covered? The young guy with the geek squad did try to help considering the computer was less than a week old. but his supervisor told him no. I could get the thing fixed which would take 2 to 3 weeks and cost me 9 hundred. I just left read more
