Got takeout tonight and it was worst experience I've ever had there. If I had eaten there I would have returned the food. I ordered shrimp with broccoli, which is not a spicy dish. When I came in saw someone new in order my food and he asked what is this I never heard heard of. It's not a hard dish others have made it beef with vegetables over black bean sauce. Food has no flavor. I ordered pork egg foo young. No pork inside. I go back inside he starts picking through my food telling me it's chopped small! When it comes to Chinese food I feel you have to crave something about it, to play it safe I normally go for the fried rice, I ordered the veggie one to be exact from this place. I was just a little hungry. I figured that and an egg roll would do for dinner after having ice cream not too long ago elsewhere. However, this was legit some bad rice, it looked as bad as the photos advertised, I hate that but it's true. It's fine price for value but definitely wouldn't recommend or return. The fried rice was like stale tasting and just not good. The egg roll wasn't bad but I prefer a veggie option as opposed to shrimp. The only other was pork. The last time I had good Chinese food was in Arizona, 1986. The food was good. Nothing to brag about; however, it was better than all the other places along this side of the Sound. Not too salty.* The food was packaged up in plastic containers, so we got a ridiculous amount of food for each dish. It looked like any other Chinese food restaurant, which is a bit disappointing. The quality of food didn't match the decor. The woman who took my order at the counter was very professional. She was definitely in charge. *A lot of Chinese food restaurants in Westchester serve food that is way too salty, leaving me feeling swollen the next day. This place was good. First time here, was in the area. Little take out place with a side for seating . Friendly service, fast service and good fresh food. I had string beans with garlic sauce lunch special. They have a fresh water and tea station where you can help yourself. No real complaints except the booths have some damage due to wear. Otherwise I'd recommend. read more

This place is not the best, but it's not terrible. If you are a dumpling fan I would suggest them because they are among the best that I've had. They have a little sitting area so you can order and they will bring it to your table which was convenient. I had the sesame chicken and forgot the sesame so it was basically general tso's. They are truly the Best Take-out Chinese food around this area; I live in Harrison but worth the drive (unfortunately no delivery service) . Family owned and run. Usually busy but friendly staff. On my way home via metro north, i decided to get an egg roll and some fried rice for my lunch at work the next day. I always get the same thing no matter where i am. Chicken and broccoli, but for whatever reason i like to look at the menu before i order my takeout. Each place is different so, sometimes i like to order something different. I wasn't ready to order, and one of the order takers was rude because i wasn't ready to order. So she walked away, so okay after finally deciding on what i want to eat, i got my usual. Forget about this dive. Went there for vegetable fried rice and the cook used her bare hands to put a few ingredients in the wok. Then she did not even fry the rice. She was pissed because I complained on her to the crazy boss lady. Instead I walked out with the order because I paid for it. I chucked the rice in the nearest garbage can. Previous review states that a mouse had ran across the floor while they ate. But seriously, just because you saw it, you give the place a bad review? I guarantee that EVERY. SINGLE. FOOD. BUSINESS will have at least a FEW mice running around their place. Whether that'd be during the day (if the little guy is THAT brave) or during the night - THEY EXIST. The place is NOT new but it's clean and the staff is what you would expect at pretty much any Chinese take out. I've been to a number of chinese take out places and most employees come off a bit rude or cold at first. But take a minute to get to know the person and you'll be pleasantly surprised. Anyway, the food has always been delicious here and never had any issues ordering here. The flavor is great and portion is very good. If you're afraid to eat there, then take the food to go. Most everything I've tried here has been good - but the spicy wontons and boneless ribs are ALWAYS in my take-out order. I emphasize take-out because I have never actually eaten in the place. The dining experience doesn't come close to the other Asian restaurants on Mamaroneck Avenue. This is definitely the place for take-out though. This is a Chinese restaurant that doesn't even deliver! I think that says it all. I have to get off of my couch, put on my pants and drive to get their food. The boneless ribs are awesome, they have excellent flavor and very little fat. I have tried every other Chinese place in the area that delivers but they all seem to fail miserably in one of the dishes I usually order. One of the best in town. Nothing fancy, but good for the price. I am absolutely rhapsodic about the vegetarian dumplings, which are worthy of a much fancier restaurant.
