Peter is the worst. Installed a kitchen at my house nearly 2 years and it's the worst workmanship I've had in my house to date. I was locked into an unprofessional dialogue with him to come and fix the outstanding issues, to at which point he threatened to sue. Seems like a common theme throughout these reviews. He didn't fit the oven or microwave securely. He damaged my cooker hood. Cut an extra hole in my counter top that wasn't needed. Trim was installed badly. The list goes on... Replying to the below response. No I don't have any friends on Yelp. Thankfully that's not ever been a priority of mine. I have text messages with +1 (626) 688-1111 on my phone, an invoice issued by the company, and payment receipts from my bank. Totally legit review here. I am basing my review on quality, reliability, and cost. Based on these, If I could give Peter more than 5 stars, I would. Before work begun, I made a sketch so Peter could give me a quote and envision what I wanted the bathroom to look like, including very detailed requests (i.e. quantity and position of outlets, lighting, overall design, etc). The bathroom ended up looking exactly like the sketch -- if not better! He was always around to supervise work and make sure all details were taken care of. The project was finished before the timeline he had given me. And his quote was the lowest of all -- and I got many! I've heard people's horror stories about home remodeling and their contractors, but since I've only worked with Peter, I cannot relate. Above all, he is very dependable, and that, for projects as involved as home renovations, makes all the difference. I will be working with Peter on my next renovation project. read more

This is long overdue to review, We contacted Peter about a year ago to help on upgrading our brand new townhome. Peter was very responsive with all of our questions, easy to get a hold with, quickly stopped by to provide our quotes and very reasonable prices. He suggested some good ideas. They made my dream design come true, walk-in shower, installed new kitchen island, installed hardwood floors throughout the house & tiles flooring in all our 3 bathrooms, etc. His team completed my entire house less than 3 weeks. Peter's crews did a fantastic work! We couldn't be more happier. A week ago, We contacted Peter again to help us on a new project to install a new entry door and some electrical. He responded very quickly, good price and very flexible on schedules. His team came in and finished the jobs within 1 day. Side note: We wished they could be more careful and more cleanliness especially with our hardwood floor and could have covered up the floors before they started the job however Peter offered to come back the next day to make things right and clean up our floors but we told him it's okay. Very pleased with the level of service and quality of work completed. I was renovating an apartment and needed granite counter-tops. Called Best Kitchen and Bath on Monday and scheduled install for Wednesday. I sent Peng a detailed diagram of the counter space, asked for Black Galaxy in a mitered or straight edge. Came out to $1300 for about 35 square feet. So around $37 per square foot. Great price considering the specifications and turnaround. The guys arrived on time and were totally professional. Good guys. They asked me a couple of detail questions and went straight to work. Finished that day and the work is close to perfect. Before doing business with Peter AKA REAL NAME PENG please ask him how many times he has sued his customers in the last five years. He is a regular at the court house because after his "workers" go to your house and do whatever quality of work they feel like, Peng will NOT FIX THE MISTAKES AND WILL then sue you for not paying. In our case he installed the counter wrong and said he would come back to fix it. He never came back even to look at it before filing a lawsuit. How many people have a lawsuit against a customer even once in their life - much the less multiple cases in a single day????? Please ask Peng what his real name is and if he has a business address where he can be found because once we did need to serve him court documents he refused service. Our counter has not been fixed for nine months and we have been living with this half finished job until the case can be heard in court. Please ask Peng why he sues his customers so often instead of being able to work things out. Do get a lawyer to look at your contract with him before agreeing to any work. Better yet find a business that you can trust and that will guarantee that their work meets your specifications. Do not make any assumptions that your phone conversations and verbal assurances will matter. Use email only and make sure every detail is in writing. Update: 9-29-2017 Peng lost in court and as of now we are waiting for him to do the right thing and pay us the $1700 judgement. Will try to get the transcript so we can share with the Yelp community. Back around January of this year we offered Peng money to go away because we did not want to waste the court's time. Peng sued not because he was going to win but because it required us to drive 3 hours to Los Angeles several times and it was a huge inconvenience. Please be aware that if you do not specify every detail regarding the quality and specifications of your job then you are going to have a harder case because he typically argues that the customer did not specify good quality or other details. Also, Peng said that his family members are in the FBI and IRS which I do not believe but even if I did this is at best hinting that we will face investigation totally not related to the dispute regarding the incorrectly installed counter. Update!!! 4-18-2018 Peng went to court and lost almost $2,000. Then is disbelief he appealed and went to court and with a new trial and new judge LOST AGAIN. hahahaha!!! LOL. Peng still no pay. When ask Peng to pay, he say no pay unless remove review. He not say review is not true, he just say no want to pay. The courts have ruled against you twice Peng. Pay up!!! The courts have explained to you that you owe us money because you damaged our property and did not meet the terms of the agreement. This review will not be removed for any reason. I will not delete the review in exchange for you paying us the money you owe us. Pay up!!! The judges - two of them - have told you to pay!!! I hope our going to court two hours from our home at least 5 times in the last two years will help others avoid the mistake of hiring this "business". Watch out for Peng. He sues his customers many times each year and few people have the ability to go to court for the first time and present their case vs Peng who does this for a living. Glad you lost twice Peng!!! I doubt that is even close to making up for all the people you sued. Wow. Bad. Very bad. read more

Hired Peter after he did my brother in laws kitchen. We scheduled a quote and he cancelled about an hour before and asked if he could come the next morning. We said that was fine. He never showed up. After texting a few times, he finally replied several hours later that he could come in a couple of days. When he finally did come, he gave us a really competitive rate and since we had seen the work he had done on my brother in laws kitchen, we went with him. Overall, the work was solid but not polished. There were no things that had to be redone but nothing was completely done. If you just need someone to install new cabinets and countertops, he will be your most competitive option. However, the edges of the drywall were left exposed and he did not seal the part where the cabinets meet the floors. These were not expensive touches that he just refused to do. Make sure the quote he sends you has every minuscule detail you want included. Things we verbally talked about he said he would do, he later decided he wouldn't. For example, he put in recessed lighting but refused later refused to patch the drywall in the ceiling. He also kept saying that he would install the hardware on the cabinets as a "courtesy" even though the cabinets WOULD NOT OPEN without the hardware. After a WEEK of him saying he would come do it and not showing up, we finally told him we were just done. Overall, the kitchen still looks good but I would have had better expectations and would have negotiated differently if I had know how unpolished it would be at the end. read more

Highly Recommend!!! Peter responded to my request for a free quote to refloor my entire home & demo my 1950's delipidated kitchen as soon as I wanted him to. He gave me a very decent, affordable quote...even brought floor samples in the color and finish I wanted. He was able to start my job when I wanted, as I needed it done a.s.a.p. He gave me a start and finish date and stuck to it!!!! You don't find THAT with many, many contractors. They were completely professional and installed the exact cabinetry and sink w faucet I described to him. Peter made sure everything was done with precision and attention to detail. Peter is a very professional contractor who provided us with reasonable estimates and turn-around time. I was referred to him by another friend. I think that is a norm as he relies on word-of-mouth and lets his work speak for itself. The best part of his work was his consultative nature of work and providing alternatives to choose from if something did not fit the budget. IMHO It requires certain amount of experience to be confident in generating such estimates and seeing through them. Peter also provided us avenues on how to select our own materials (which was a fun experiment) and scale the quality of our work. We provided all the supplies for 3.5 bathrooms to get new quartz counters, back splashes, vessel sinks, and modern faucets. Peter picked up the quartz slabs from the slab yard in Alhambra for us (We picked and paid for them in advance). Cutting to exact sizes was done at our house. Work was done quickly (1.5 days including demolitions and plumbing) and was of pretty high-quality. The workers did not speak English much, so we had to contact Peter on the phone, a few times for clarifications, but it worked out. He stopped by in the mornings and evenings to check on the work. For us, it was a very economical way to get updated bathrooms at a low cost. I can't comment on his material quality, as we provided all of our own materials. If you are willing to do some of the pre-work yourself, I highly recommend him as an installer. read more

OMG these guys showed up, never mind that they barely spoke English with cheap wood floors, granite, and cabinets which is not what I had asked for when getting a price. I specifically emailed photos of what I wanted and what they brought was clearly inferior products. I couldn't even have them start the job because I was mortified by the awful products they showed up with which would be ok for a cheap ars apt in Monterey Park but not for my house. Dont bother ever unless you like low quality stuff that will need to replaced in 6mos. Yikes! read more
