He let me buy all the materials myself and very kindly handled the bigger items like vent pipes for FREE. Sam's quote is just the labor, so you are not charged a markup on your quote for any material cost. There were a few surprises along the way, and he took care of the extra work without charging extra. He also demoed the kitchen tiles nicely and even did some extra paint work and tile grout for free. He makes sure the project will be done well! Sam is honest and practical. He suggested I wait to install a kitchen vent until a future renovation. I still went ahead with it, but it was nice to hear someone not trying to upsell me. I can trust Sam's opinion for the job and not worry that I am being exploited by my lack of home renovation knowledge. A couple of them went way over than what I had budgeted for, and the remaining two were neck-and-neck. I went with Coronado because their common-sense approach and presentation gave me a lot of confidence in working with them. Sergio, who drafted the estimate, actually presented a much better option than a wooden deck: a concrete patio. That made a lot more sense to me as I wouldn't have to worry too much about maintenance. He also worked up some renderings of what the finished product would look like, and that pretty much sold it for me (along with the very reasonable estimate). The whole project took a few weeks, from the demo of the old deck to the concrete pouring, and all throughout, Sergio made himself available to any questions or concerns that I had. Additionally, his business is family-run, so I got to meet his father, his brother, and some of his other relatives who came down to work on the project. They were all courteous, professional, and competent. There were some minor fixes (some being electrical) that adjusted the original estimate a bit, but those made sense to me and were quite reasonable as well. Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). Every day when they finished work, they made sure everything was cleaned up and their tools were organized in one designated spot instead of being left scattered around the property. Not once did they leave the place a mess, which was very impressive considering how long the project lasted. The project took about eight months to complete. Like with any construction project of that size, we had a few misunderstandings along the way, but Eddie was always easy to get a hold of. He was very communicative and always took the time to answer questions and explain things when needed. Something else that I liked was that whenever Eddie had to step away from the project, he would leave one of his sons in charge on site. That made it easy to communicate with someone who was there and knew what was going on with the work while Eddie was away.

My expectations are really high, I can be pretty indecisive, I have OCD, and I don't do well with change. That being said, I absolutely loved working with Kyle and his crew! They finished the job in less time than quoted. And since the job turned out to be simpler than expected, they charged less than the initial estimate!!! Like I said, WOW! I needed the flooring replaced in a bedroom. Kyle came to check out the damage, sent me an estimate, and was able to start within a week. He presented options and accepted my decisions without any judgement. He helped guide me in my purchase and even picked up the materials for me since they wouldn't fit in my car. I love that Kyle kept in touch with me throughout the process, keeping me posted on his team's progress. His workers were also very patient with me. I decided halfway through the project that I might like the planks in a different direction. His guys stopped what they were doing and lay some planks out so I could see what it would look like. They explained their reasoning and reassured me that they would be happy to change it if that's what I wanted. (Turns out they were right...it looked better their way.) When I checked on the closet doors, I felt one set was a little tight. Even though it was probably only about a centimeter, they didn't seem to mind having to adjust my old doors. I appreciate them wearing their masks while working, even when I wasn't around since I have young children. I'm so glad I was able to hire Rafu Construction for my small job. My grandma's house was sectioned into different rooms so Rafu and Kyle had to remove the walls to make the open floor plan that I have now in my living room/kitchen/dining room. Kyle made it so easy, he has vendors that he works with. For example, for cabinets we met him at the vendor's storefront so we could decide on our cabinets for the kitchen and the bathrooms. For the flooring, he brought samples to the house so we could look at them in the house. It was things like this that made working with Kyle so great and easy.

And instead of trying to get me to do the most expensive thing possible, Jerry figured out how to take out half the wall and build a new half, with a seamless connection. It looks absolutely great! He came out a couple times, to make sure he had done a very thorough inspection and would give me a correct estimate. He also built two support pillars with ring blocks, to support another retaining wall in my backyard. And when they ran into a snag - unexpected cement underneath - no one complained, Jerry didn't change the price, they just did a beautiful job. And they are friendly and nice on top of it! They really worked with us to ensure that the product we got was the one that would make us happiest. It took about 3 months for us to receive the final product, but once we did it was beautiful, even better than what we'd pictured. It's definitely the centerpiece of our conference room and almost every client remarks on it. I also want to add that only a few weeks in, we had a brief issue where some epoxy fell from a slot in the bottom of the table. Words can not express the gratitude and gratefulness I have for Peter Lee. He's the most amazing contractor in the world. He started on the start date and finished on the deadline like he said he would. I even gave him an additional job and he still completed the extra work on time. The price I was given was the actual price I paid, no bait and switch. Peter even gave me discount locations to save me money for my flooring. My bathroom came out far better than i expected. my only downfall is I dont have all the money right now for Peter to do more more for me. The workers came on time and stayed until they finished their tasks for the day and some days they even stayed beyond the time they had to. They were neat and clean, they covered my furniture and did a great job with the finishing work. This was the most stress free construction I've ever had. My bathroom was an old broom closet and Peter put in a complete remodel including tub with new plumbing underneath the house. I had previously interviewed many contractors, but Peter was the only one who listened and took his time helping me design a plan to use all the space possible. Every time i called Peter, he answered my call and handled the smallest detail. Again, I am in debt to his services and look forward to future upcoming projects in my Janes Cottage in Altadena, CA . Remodeling our house completely is a decision for us (after 30 years it was time to remodel our kitchen). We last remodeled in 1986 our kitchen and throughout the entire house, installed engineered hardwoods and 4" baseboards. We went into this project thinking we had limited kitchen options. But on our initial visit with Peter from Best Kitchen and Bath, he showed us options we never thought about - and affordable! His design and vision was outstanding. He also helped with all the selections. Awesome experience! His guidance was invaluable. I was dreading this process, only because I had never done anything like this and was unsure of trends and "what works with what". But Peter made it fun, relaxing and gave me confidence to explore all options. Now we all know anyone can "sell" you something, but what about actual delivery? Best Kitchen and Bath, exceeded our expectations! I can't say enough about their honesty; commitment to quality; keeping us updated on next steps and meeting/exceeding all deadlines. This is a review for major remodeling work we had done almost a year ago on a fixer-upper house. The work included complete renovations of three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a kitchen, and new piping and electrical work among many other things. The work was done in 7 weeks and Alan is very pleasant to work with. However, we are most impressed by the contractor's commitment to make our home look beautiful. Almost one year later, they returned to repair several piping and electrical flaws (as expected, nothing is perfect in a major remodel of an old home), with no questions asked. Some contractors want you to believe they care about your home but they disappear after it's done. But Peter truly cares and stands by his work. Keep an eye out for work performed too quickly- they're so fast that sometimes they proceed not as you intended. But they're always trying to make things right and how you want it. After months of searching for the right business and prices, today Chris and his team came and finished my kitchen. I cannot express how happy I am with them! I want to start my saying his team is so focused and dedicated to their job. They essentially finished my apartment's kitchen cabinets and countertops in one day and you would think they were custom built the way they fit everything so perfectly together. Truly amazing people work here, I had nothing but a great experience and the craftsmanship is outstanding. I want to thank you each and everyone helped us to build our dream kitchen. Very impressed with the outcome of our bathroom. Our bathroom was small and it was divided the sink and shower and out dated. So Peter and his team came in and created a dream bathroom. STAY AWAY... Peter is very unprofessional. Peter does not follow signed contracts and is a liar. His work as from other reviews online is well below average. Highly recommend using another company as Peter will rob you blind. Any work he or his company performs will need to be redone as they cut corners whenever possible. Happy to say, after the job was complete...we couldn't be more impressed. One thing to note...the quality of their cabinets seemed to be actually BETTER than some of the pricier companies we visited. Thick, sturdy, and robust solid wood. Hinges and drawers also felt premium. It gave me the confidence that these cabinets will last a very long time. I'm so glad I didn't go with IKEA. Different contractors did the cabinet and countertops. We opted for our own handles so we'll be installing those ourselves. I think they spent less than 10 hours to complete this small kitchen (which I thought was super quick). The workmanship was superb on both cabinets and countertops. They even did a great job aligning the pieces of quartz so that the patterns "flowed" together. Although the workers didn't speak much English, their skill and work speaks for themselves. They obviously have the experience and know what they're doing. Needless to say, we'll be using Blue Sky Cabinet for our next projects.
