Hands down, best preschool we could have chosen for our kids. My son started here at 2 and my daughter at 4 and they have thrived. The curriculum isn't fluffy stuff of typical daycares, it's robust and well rounded. My daughter now 6 can spell her name, can count to 100 and is starting to read. My son who's 3 now knows his colors, shapes and numbers oh and he knows colors and numbers in Spanish! The teachers care a lot, are very patient and consistent. Ms. Cindy who runs the school is so helpful and caring, she's the kind of person who will go out of her way to make sure your child is getting what they need all while making the parent feel supported. My kids are 4 and 7 and have both attended Best Pals preschool. My older daughter has attended other preschools in the area, and we have also toured other preschools, and nothing compares to this one. The biggest reason? The teachers and director! We love their flexibility with allowing us to pick our days, unlike other preschools which make you choose MWF or T/TH. We also like that they offer extended hours as well. I also love the small feel as opposed to some of these larger preschools in the area. There are low student/teacher ratios and the curriculum is top notch. The preschool has helped my kids not only academically, but socially as well. My 7 year old was beyond ready for Kindergarten a couple years ago, thanks to the programs offered in the summer. My four year old has one more year here and I'm going to be so sad when she is too old to attend. They've become like family to us! read more

We had such a wonderful experience at Best Pals Preschool. My daughter attended the 2's class, 3's class, and summer camps! Best Pals is a delightful preschool and it was such an enjoyable introduction to education and school for my daughter. She loved it! We've been to a number of preschools in the phoenix area and oh my are we pleased with this place. We have 2 kids here and I will tell you the teachers really care and they give so much love to the kids. My kids get excited to go here and do fun projects. We've tried a number of the big name places and it feels like kids only get attention when you are there. The nice thing is the class sizes are appropriate size and almost all the teachers know all the kids, even if they're not in that class. Our son started attending Best Pals Preschool in the middle of last school year. Our only regret is that we didn't start him sooner! The school has a "home" feel that makes the kiddos feel safe and welcome. The teachers always have a smile on their face and you can tell they all truly love what they do. The class sizes are small which allows preschoolers to get the love and attention they need to learn. We believe our son loves school so much because he has a little family at Beat Pals. read more

We really like this place! Our son has gone for a couple of years now. He was in the 3's, 4's, Jr K class and a part time summer camp program that they offer. He has gone 2,3 and 4 days a week at various times over the years and they have been very flexible with our schedule. All the teachers and Mrs. B have been great, welcoming and very accomodating to us over the years. We looked at a lot of places in N Phoenix and this seemed like the best. The teachers are all great, it's small, personable, it's clean, it's only preschool and not a daycare. They also have more of a curriculum that other preschools don't and offer a summer camp program that you can sign up for individual weeks. Best Pals is checking temperatures, hand washing, and taking every precaution possible to prevent the spread of germs. Best Pals is a True Preschool for children 20 months to 5 years old. I have had my two children attending for several years. My oldest is starting kindergarten this fall but I am happy to have my youngest attending Best Pals 5 days a week so that I am able to help the older one with online school as most elementary schools are not opening for in person school. I am so happy to have found Best Pals years ago and my children have benefited so much from the wonderful teachers there. The teachers have been the same teachers since we first started there 3 years ago. It is so nice to have teachers that my children know well and enjoy learning from. Best Pals has been such a blessing to my son and our family, and we are so happy we found them! This was my son's first school experience, starting when he was 22 months old, and the staff was so helpful in his transition away from home. He has flourished and grown exponentially since attending Best Pals- in his educational knowledge, speech, and socialization. Our child attended this school for a year, teachers were constantly rotating or " leaving" for personal reasons. The expectation that 2-3 yr olds will sit, stay and listen in a circle ( or anywhere for that matter) is unrealistic. When a student with unmatched vocabulary and the ability to comprehend things beyond their current age attends this school, they are quickly labeled a " trouble maker". It's unfair to the child and the parents, it gives both a complex about a gifted child... Almost like they want your kid to be dumb or at least act as if they are less intelligent then they actually are. The owner Cindy Bruno used to have two schools ( Scottsdale location closed down), this writer learned through various sources this was due to her over bearing management style and inability to deal collectively with parents when she decided there was a (perceived) deficiency in a child. She routinely would enter classrooms " looking" for reasons to single out kids, then proceed to call their parents with " I don't won't to alarm you... But your child did _____". This came as a shock when every other person ( church, gym, family) that had overseen our child in a care setting had nothing but praise for the manners, vocabulary and intelligence they expressed. Needless to say our child no longer attends this horrible excuse of a " preschool", it's pre.... Not school, the owner honestly believes she is an administrator over a " school district". Upon switching preschools( Montessori) we learned three other children that attend our child's new school had come from Bestpals. No shock to learn all three left for the same reasons, all of these kids have expanded their abilities and desire to be back in school. All four have been praised by the new schools staff and administrative staff. It's true, you get what you pay for....if your on a budget... Bestpals will fit your wallet, but not in the best interest of your child's education, self esteem, or your piece of mind. This review is intended to help, not harm... YOUR children's education. Choose wisely, the " tour" at Bestpals is misleading. This is at best a daycare and with the owner so obviously uneducated in "normal childhood behaviors" it is frustrating to both parents and children who attend. read more

My daughter loves it here! She started in the 2 year old program and loved it. She has also done the summer camps and is now in the 3s program. The staff are so great and truly care about the kids. The teacher to student ratio is pretty low which I love because the kids get more individual attention. Another great thing is that they accept kids as young as 20 months. We love best pals! My 5 yr old attended a few days a week for 3 years and was so ready for Kindergarten this year! Only a month into school, and she is reading on a 1st grade level thanks to Best Pals. My 2 yr old is currently enrolled 2 days a week and it's her favorite activity throughout the week. We have nothing but fantastic things to say about Best Pals. It came highly recommended to us from other families in our neighborhood and we could not be happier. I have an older daughter who attended 3 other preschools, one of which was a private school in Scottdale that has very good reviews, and none of them match the quality of Best Pals. My son is almost done with his "3s" class and is registered for pre k next year and is super excited to return. He loves going to school and gets sad when he is sick and cannot go. We love his teachers Mrs. Vogel and Mrs. Brown and my son loves that Mrs. Bruno greets him every morning at the door to welcome him. I have 3 girls and ALL 3 of them attended Best Pals Preschool. They (we) had a wonderful experience with the entire staff. My oldest daughter started in the 3's class and then Pre-K. Her experience at Best Pals helped her to be more than ready to enter Kindergarten! My middle Child started in the 2's class. At the time she was 2 1/2 and was barely speaking. By October/November of that year she was speaking in FULL sentences! It made me cry, I was so happy. She also then attended the 3's class and the 4's class. Cindy Bruno, the owner, was super supportive and so were the teachers. Then my last daughter started in the 2's class as well. She has ADHD and all of the teachers, from the 2's- Pre k, were instrumental in helping her and working with her so that she excelled, not expelled. I know for a fact that the only reason the Scottsdale location closed was not due to the lies that one of the reviewers wrote, the teachers at that location loved the school and loved Cindy, but for business reasons. I highly highly highly recommend that if you Want a preschool that will be a preschool and NOT a daycare, Best Pals is the best! We visited quite a few preschools before choosing Best Pals. All three of my kids have gone through Best Pals and were prepared for Kindergarten. (1) Best Pals has highly qualified teachers with low turnover. We had many of the same teachers all 5 years. They are a very compassionate and well-educated group of teachers. (2) Not only are student/teacher ratios low (some years we even had 8:1 ratio depending on the day), the class sizes themselves are smaller, which was very important for me. Some of the other larger preschools we visited (Tutor Time, Children's Learning Adventure, Kindercare, Scottsdale Learning Center) had very large classes (and state max ratio as well)... the larger classes are very chaotic and create a more stressful, noisy environment for especially the younger kids. Best Pals has a calmer atmosphere, and a much more personal environment. It's a small local business rather than a big box preschool. The teachers at BP will know your child well and will be able to give personal updates at pick up each day. (3) Best Pals is a 'true preschool' with a solid curriculum for both academic and extracurricular activities. (4) Best Pals offers a flexible schedule at a fair price. I wanted a part-time preschool (not full time daycare), and most other preschools required pricey minimum hours/fees. (5) I liked the location of Best Pals. While my work office was south, it actually took less time to travel to the convenient Tatum/Cave Creek location due to low traffic in the area. Much more pleasant drive than other congested preschool locations. (6) The owner really cares and greets each family/child by name each morning. Your child will not be 'just a number' here. Originally, I had my oldest child enrolled at another "preschool" but it turned out to be day care. Then I found Best Pals and I could feel the true preschool experience right when I walked in. My oldest child had a great experience at Best Pals and I was very happy with the curriculum and teachers. Now, my younger child attends Best Pals and is enrolled in the 3's program this year after attending last year in the Toddler/2's program. My younger child enjoys Best Pals just as much as my older child. Both kids look(ed) forward to going to Best Pals to learn, play, and see friends. Best Pals Preschool is absolutely the best. I have three children, all of them spent their entire preschool years with Best Pals. Between all of them, I have spent 8 years with Best Pals. My youngest just started Kindergarten and all of them miss their teachers from preschool. I have read some reviews and have to say, In the 8 years my children attended I'm pleased to say that I never noticed a problem with teachers leaving. My children always had the same teachers throughout the entire year. Cindy Bruno is one of the most caring, wonderful people I have ever met. Every morning without fail Mrs. Bruno holds the door open and greets each and every child and parent as they walk through. The staff are always available to parents and more then willing to help with any needs or concerns. Throughout the year special programs are brought in for the children like, Reptile handlers, Mother Goose, Firefighters and my daughters favorite, a real Cowboy. Children are exposed to dance, singing and yoga to get the giggles out. Most important, all of my children where ready for Kindergarten. I'm thankful for the wonderful Staff of Best Pals and all the wonderful memories my three children have of their preschool years. read more
