It's…read morea bit run down but I was working, so my goal was to sleep overnight, get my work done, and leave. The room was okay. Not great, not bad. Standard. The bed was a bit hard for me and hurt my back. It was clean. It did have a full length mirror which was nice. The wifi was fine and I didn't have any issues. The heating and cooling is one of the old units near the window. It cooled the room. I'm not sure how it would be in the severe heat of the summer, but it worked for spring weather. I really dislike these type of old units because they are incredibly loud! There is a decent size refrigerator in the room (larger than I've seen many places) and a small, regular coffee maker. The COFFEE MAKER is LOCATED in the BATHROOM which I found really odd and it wasn't appealing to me. I'd consider this unsanitary. I didn't use it. It's more of a motel with all the doors outside. If you don't request to be on the bottom floor, you walk up stairs with your luggage. Maybe there were elevators somewhere I didn't see. If you have a lot of luggage, disabilities, or don't want to walk up and down outside stairs to get to your room, you should request the bottom floor. It was slow when I was there, so it wasn't a problem getting a room on the bottom floor. I didn't have time to eat their breakfast, so I can't comment on it other than to say I saw the breakfast area. It was a small seating area in the lobby. For some reason they wouldn't honor the GSA rate for the area. They insisted on charging a bit more which I'll need to pay out of my pocket since my business travel must fall under those approvals. I'd have stayed somewhere else for that reason, but there's hardly any options in Starke, FL. Maybe that's why they can charge the higher rate and people pay the extra. If you need a decent place to stay and you have to stay in Starke (pass if you can), then the Best Western is a decent place.

Donot visit this hotel…read more I was there for 6 months on business..... after 5 months the mold was beginning to show in the bathroom.... the toilet mives from side to side....... the ac stopped blowing cold. Room 11 I told the owner..... he said " ya ya I will check".... never did.... but he was able every saturday to remind me that rent was due. Thats the thanks I got for staying 6 months. Like an idiot I went back last month.... room 23.... same thing... toilet movea from side to side ac doesnt blow cold.
