Even McDonalds is closed around here this evening, making it pretty dam difficult to eat. Checked the restaurant at the Best Western nearby. It was also closed this evening. WTF? Both the Scherf and the Best Western are classed as four star hotels. How about a littlle religious sensitivity to those of us not as enamored of the season as the local Catholics? The hotel is composed of 2 building, with a maze like elevator system (it's not a fun hunt). The rooms were comfortable in general, however the bathroom can use some improvement (i.e. softer toilet paper, modern room design, etc.) There is a beautiful panoramic pool on the 8th floor, overlooking the entire city. They also have a sauna and a steam room available near the pool area. The hotel is located very centrally and all stores and restaurants can be reached in a few minutes by walking.
