After we had traveled all day from Edmonton, the front desk threw a wrench into the first night of our trip. We had confirmed a room advertised as "Pet Friendly | 2 Queen Beds." We had even put in the credit card they demanded to secure the room. When we arrived, one of the woman at the front desk told us, "Cats are not allowed." As if that wasn't insulting enough, they acted as though we should have known this - even after I showed my confirmation document that included a pet. "Oh, that's only for dogs," she insisted, not nicely. "You should have read the hotel policies posted online." I have traveled around the world, and never even thought of looking up a hotel's internal policy statements. A second woman at the desk looked at me sympathetically, clearly embarrassed by her boss' behavior. I tried calling the Best Western helpline. A woman there transferred me to someone calling herself Tiffany, who put me on hold a couple of times. Finally, she came back to tell me the same thing as the front desk, even though she had initially agreed that this sounded outrageous. Naturally, I asked her to give me a good reason to ever trust Best Western again. At this point, I cannot imagine putting any part of a trip in their dishonest hands. The first woman at the reception desk finally made a few calls, upon our insistence, and found us a room at a motel in Sicamous. I did appreciate that gesture and have reviewed the other place; interested travelers can find that on my Yelp page. Meanwhile, Best Western still has their falsely advertised listing online. Dirty dirty dirty Misrepresented my stay, rude staff, room at the end of bottom floor code to pub may have mouldy mattress. Room flooded and mattress left outside to dry. Careful as this is a public safety health issue. They were advised of planned power outage but due to greed, neglected to tell their guests that Sunday June 23 will be without power but they will sure take your money. After the water issue our room smelled like sewage, water was brown and front desk staff did not seem to care. I'm disgusted that we allow businesses to conduct themselves like this in this country. This is flat out abusive conduct to treat people like this as long as we can line business owners pocket. Shame on sicamous and British Columbia for lowering your standard over the years. This hotel should be assessed for public safety issues. The day our ministries take lisencing and public safety seriously, we will be safe. Don't pay until you see the room, flush the toilet, run the water, look at and smell the mattress and take a look at window sill sheets and floors. You'll need to open the door for this as the lighten serves the owners. My rating does not exist. This hotel owner is hiding due to his negligence. My true rating comes with many negatives. Cant believe I have been coming here for ages ( 7 Check-Ins! ) and did not write a review, yes, its was before my Yelping days! This had been our regular stop over whenever to go to the interior of BC or en route to Alberta. The rooms here are clean and well maintained even over the years, all the facilities are very well kept! Staffs here are all extra friendly, when we are always greeted as though we are returning family members! Daisy always get spoiled for getting her treats and her very own "Paw Towel"! The staff also knows to give us a room with easy access to the grounds as it makes it so much more easier for Daisy to go out for her walks. Thanks to the GREAT TEAM at BW Sicamous Inn for making this a special stop over every time! read more

We had a very good stay at Best Western. The property is spotlessly clean and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable. We had a good nights sleep. The staff is very friendly. The complimentary breakfast was decent. We did not have an opportunity to use the hot tub or pool. read more

Clean convenient hotel, courteous welcome at front desk. Cute little town on a beautiful lake. Breakfast out in back garden was pleasant.

Very clean rooms and wonderfully friendly staff! The beds were super comfy and I slept like a log. Breakfast bar was plentiful with lovely local fruit like blueberries and peaches. The lady running the breakfast bar was a superstar in my eyes. She went above and beyond to help me find breakfast. Being allergic to dairy she supplied me with almond milk for my cereal and when she noticed it was my birthday, she made me my own plate of "birthday bacon"! Clean! Everything was so clean and well stocked. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The gals at breakfast worked incredibly hard to keep things in the breakfast area clean and all the food topped off. They even use dairy and produce from the area. And after all this my daughter left her pillow behind. They not only had it waiting for her on our return stay they had a little shower scrubber that was left behind. Hotel is clean and quite. The staff is very friendly. Even after a little mixup with the pet policy they made an exception for us. (Btw check out the hotels policy not the general Best Westerns, each hotel can be slightly different) The pool and hot tub area is adequate and the kids loved it. I would recommend anyone to check this place out. Added benefit of a Tims right in the parking lot. read more

Amazing desk staff at check-in helped a traveller in distress. After a six hour drive in the dark arrived only to find out the reservation I made online was for the next day. Staff went out of their way to make everything right and gave me the last room available which was better than the one I had booked for the same price! Thanks Best Western, you're my new first choice for future bookings. Oh and the hotel is great, clean and well kept. These people really care about their business and it shows. read more
