I worked with Jennie from Tavel 100 Group to book our honeymoon to Jamaica in May 2016…read more Jennie was very responsive and knowledgeable. We were open to multiple destinations, so Jennie took the time to understand what we were looking for and helped provide guidance on locations. We were interested in an adults only, all inclusive resort, but still within a budget. She provided great options within and was transparent about the pros and cons of each. I asked her seemingly random questions (seaweed, Zika, etc.), and she answered them all and reassured us! She took care of booking the resort and transportation, and provided us with all the pertinent travel documentation. She ensured that transportation to and from the airport was included in our package, as well as resort coupons to be used during our stay (including a complimentary round of golf in the mountains, which was beautiful!). Upon check in, we were pleasantly surprised to find that we were upgraded to the honeymoon package - which included an ocean view suite. Our experience with Jennie and T100G was very smooth and seamless -- and took a stressor off our plates while we were dealing with wedding planning! I plan on engaging their services again for our next trip and would highly recommend them!

I paid $250 up front for Robyn Cohen from t100g to research options for 9 family members to stay at…read morethe beach for a week. A few days later she sent me 3 links to 3 resorts. No pricing. No specifics. I responded that of the 3 links, the first link was the best and asked what else she could recommend in that area. I didn't hear back so I ended up doing the research myself and booked a beautiful beach house on VRBO. I think I paid Robyn $250 for maybe a half hour of research. Live and learn.

After reaching out to multiple agents at Lake Shore Travel to be able to communicate with them or…read morethe owner (who I could not find the name of) about our trip and poor experience with Shonah Rabman, no one would respond and therefore we feel pushed for our voices to be heard through some channel in order to prevent others from making the same mistake we did. Like many of the poor reviews below, Lake Shore Travel, specifically working with Shonah Rabman was a horrible experience. I should start with the fact that I have never written a yelp review in my life, but I felt the need to save others from using this agency and this specific agent. As a business owner myself, I wanted to resolve this over the phone with Lake Shore but I have tried reaching out via phone / email over the past couple of weeks and no one will return my call. Therefore - I urge you to read this before using this agency: Shonah's inattention to detail, inconsiderate tone, avoidance to plan our trip after we already paid, last minute changes, and overall condescending/gaslighting messages to us were horrible to work with. We were going to 5 locations on this 2-week trip that we began having her plan over a year in advance for. We needed someone to help us pick out 5 star hotels and private tours. Shonah could not have cared less about our trip, the details, and us as clients. She avoided planning our trip for over 6 months, and when considerately addressing to her that we haven't heard from her on any details of our trip (so we could start planning ahead) she yelled at us over the phone stating she has other clients and we were bothering her. We asked Shonah to help assist us in booking restaurants as the location we were going to frequently does not take reservations over apps (mostly reassertions over emails and calls in the native language). This was 5 months before our trip. She agreed over email multiple times she would be happy to do this. One month before our trip after, she finally shared with us it was up to us to find restaurants for a 14-day trip, but she would do it anyways as a 'courtesy'. Again, another thing that should have been communicated to us and we felt misled once again. The week of our trip (after weeks of trying to get our final itinerary/ documents from Shonah) she finally stopped ignoring us and anxiously requested we answer a bunch of questions within 24 hours that she needed to verify because she left everything until the last minute. We downloaded our app, got our itinerary, and none of us could open our documents... as they were encrypted. We call Shonah up, explaining that the documents she uploaded to the app were encrypted. Again, she yells at us letting us know that it's our fault we can't see the documents, there's nothing she can do, and she quickly hangs up. Extremely unprofessional. Feeling helpless, we call Axus (the app's helpine) where, they told us our travel agent did not upload the documents correctly, and Shonah needed to upload the documents as PDF's for us to view them. A mistake on her end. We forwarded her the emails, and she responded "always learning something new - I will re-upload them." Again, no apology for the way she spoke to us over the phone, no accountability, nothing. Again, we were doing her job for her and we felt extremely disrespected / scared to communicate with her moving forward. We had emailed Shonah two months before we left to confirm she had input our TSA numbers (we paid extra for her to book our flights) and that we would not have a problem. We get to the airport - TSA numbers are not on our ticket. I wish I could write everything that went wrong, but Yelp has a limit. Other things that went wrong: all dinner reservations were either not made, made for the wrong time, or made for the wrong day. Made for Spain is the travel agency that Lake Shore connects with to book trips. We stopped going through Shonah and began corresponding with Maria from Made for Spain who is INCREDIBLE. She texted with us back and forth to help 'fix' Shonah's mistakes throughout the trip. She also continued to check in via text throughout the trip to make sure everything was running smoothly, and she responded within minutes of me writing her. About me: This is the first and most likely last yelp review I will ever write in my life. As a business owner who is client facing 24/7, I can confirm that if someone on my team acted the way Shonah has acted, I would be extremely alarmed. I pride myself on kindness, respect, and generosity towards people's time and money. Her attitude, frequent inattention to detail, condescending tone over the phone, and lack of respect / patience was disheartening to clients like us who were overly conscientious in having someone book a 14-day vacation (a time where we were excited to relax and have things run smoothly) with clear directions. I would stay away from Shonah Rabman and furthermore I would probably stay away from this travel company.

Scam alert. We…read moreattended the 90 minute presentation "how to save money on travel" to get 2 free plane tix. We had no intention of buying whatever they were selling - we know how to travel cheaply. We entered a nondescript office with no permanent sign, a trashy sales agent started off the presentation by asking everyone where their ultime DREAM destination, money no object, would be. The 1st couple said Aruba (whoa, dream big). We said Maldives and the woman, who said she was a travel agent, had no idea where that was. Then she went around the room and asked each couple how much they thought the dream trip would cost. Aruba people said $6k for 7 days. Are you kidding me? Our 14 day trip to South Africa will be around that! The the pitch begins. Global Travel is not a timeshare, it a full service travel agency that provides week long stays at 5-star resorts and condos for $119 in the US and $189 international. They have thousands around the world! Of course, when you ask for specifics they tell you that the inventory changes so much they can't guarantee anything. They said they have tons of properties in Florida, Hawaii, Cancun, etc. But even if you can't take advantage of the low weekly rate at a condo, the full-service travel agency can get you 50% off hotels around the world plus 30-40% off flights and car rentals and cruises! So after an hour about how awesome this is, they finally get down to cost. $14,900 gets you membership FOR LIFE (passed on to your kids, and grandkids). $189 is the on-time processing fee, and $389 is the yearly "activity fee". If you don't book a trip that year, you don't pay. Of course, if you only book one, that $389 could cancel out any savings. You get 2 peak weeks at the weekly $119/189 rate plus 2 off-peak weeks, booked 2-4 months in advance. You also get 2 last minute weeks at the weekly rate that cost an additional $200 to book. So we're sitting there, clearly not going to do this, but watching all the people who are eating this up. We fill out our survey with info on us I'm assuming this is so they can give us their pitch on how we can save tons, so I pick our next trips to places I highly doubt they have properties, like Russia and Laos. So then we get paired up with an agent and go to the sales room where there's a "tiki-hut" and blaring music (so you can't hear the deal the table next to you is getting). Then they announce that because this is the anniversary of this particular office (really, then why don't you even have a sign?) the price is going to roll back to what is was in 1989 - just $11,900. After another 10 minutes they annouce that the first two people to sign up can take an additional $1000 off (all the agents "wow" and clap like this is so unheard of). Our agent starts the pitch by telling us all about him and then asking all about us. We immediately say we're not intrested because, while the premise is sound, it doesn't fit our style of travel. We never stay in one place for a whole week (so if we wanted to use all 4 weeks to stay in 4 places internationally over a week or so, it would be $800. We only spent $700 for 10 days in Spain!) and we HATE large resorts/megahotels. Sales guy continues to pitch, we continue to say no. He shows us pictures of more resorts, we say "okay, nice, but we're not interested". He tries to show us how much money would could save on our upcoming South Africa trip by going with them - MY trip actually comes out cheaper! Finally he says he needs to bring his manager over for our official decline. Manager comes over and pitches some more, and then says they may have another plan that could work for us. It's only $4500 for the membership to get one peak week and one off-peak week. We say no, he says if we just put $100 down we can get started now. We say no, he and sales guy excuse themselves. Sales guy comes back with a folded piece of paper and and says manager told him not to open it. We open it and it says $2500 on it. Sales guy is all "wow, I've never seen that deal before!". Manager comes back and talks all about how low this price is and just $100 will get us started. We say no again, now put off by the desperation. Sales guy whips out our "free gift", the 2 free plane tickets that are LOADED with so many hoops it becomes clear we will never use them and practially pushes us out the door. Don't make the same mistake we did to try to get free tickets. There's always a catch and you'll have to deal with these smarmy sales guys. I feel bad for the gullible people who get suckered and and lose money, but come on people. How naive can you be?
