History: Dating back to the Bronze Age, the Sky Disc is reported to be around 3600 years old. It is included in the UNESCO's Memory of the World Register and termed "one of the most important archaeological finds of the 20th century
The sky disc was found in this region however the actual disc is located at a museum in Halle - this museum has many pictures of the disc and a replica
The museum offers audio tours in English and have many stops to hear about particular minerals in the land, materials ancient peoples used to forage and build, hypotheses around how the sky disc would have been used
The audio guide was also programmed to play during the planetarium show about the sky disc and was timed perfectly with the German audio
