We stopped into Saint Brigid for a choral recital that our friends were giving. This church is a…read morebeautiful building with a lot to offer aesthetically and acoustically. It was set up as the perfect place to have a concert or worship service. In fact, three people came in because they thought a special mass was going down. The church offers the things you expect a church you offer which would include: worship services, activities for families and children, opportunities to keep your old people busy during the day, and several social engagement opportunities. They have their own parking which is nice for the Highlands and their handicap assessable. The artwork in the church is very classical and the interior of the sanctuary looks like some sort of Easter basket. Beyond the traditional religious artwork that you would expect including the stations of the cross, they are chosen pastel color palette that made the place look like something out of a demented Walgreens Easter basket. I could've wanted around for quite a while just looking at the different religious iconographic in the room but I would've gotten dirty looks for this trip to the concert. I'm used to dirty looks but let's face it Dolores and Richard are just as much of a Philistine as I am so I wasn't too worried about what they would say or do. Angela however has excellent teacher I and I was not, not going to risk that! This event was also the longest period of time the elite squad was in one room and no one said "that's what she said." I have family members who have washed at this church when they were visiting Louisville now I know what they were raving about in terms of the beauty of the building but also the welcoming attitude of the people who worship there on the regular.

When our family came to The Lifesong Community Church, we had been out of church for a few years,…read morewe went for our friends baptism and were so welcomed by the members of the Lifesong, our children asked if we could go back. November 2017 our family was blessed with our church home. Before coming to the Lifesong, anytime I attended church, that was just it, I was only attending, I wasn't growing my relationship with Jesus, I wasn't leading my family to know Jesus. The members of the Lifesong made sure we were not just numbers coming through the doors, they had deep love and want to nurture my relationship with Jesus. I have never felt more welcomed, accepted, and close to Christ. I know I am not just a number, if our family is missing, they will come calling, to make sure we are ok, do we need anything, and just to say hope you are having a great day. And a bonus, I don't have to drag my family to church, they are up and ready to go, they love it there, and my boys are surrounded by amazing examples of what it looks like to love and be loved by Jesus!

Maybe it was the old church lady smell. I don't know, but there has been one Church that I have gone to when I get the chance, Concordia Lutheran Church. My wife and I were married in this old Gothic Style Cathedral. While sitting there listening to the sermon, gazing at all the beautiful stained glass windows from the balcony is like another world. It is an amazing place. The organ is an authentic pipe organ, and it will blow your mind. If you are in Louisville, and need a cool place to worship, visit Condordia.

They are located in a gorgeous old church that has been renovated. With this of course there are beautiful stained glass windows and carved wood that easily display the beauty of God. More importantly however are the people that go there. I have seen time and time again this body of believers display the love of Christ to each other and the community. You can tell they truly believe that God is sovereign in their life and on Earth. They have helped start multiple churches around the United States and the world through the body of believers in Louisville and are focused on giving to missions. They are not focused on showy lights or events and flashy slide shows but try and keep things simple and real. I've never been so welcomed by a family believers like I have at this church and I am very excited to have found fellowship with such devoted Christians.
