We looked at a lot of portfolios, but Mollie's stood out to us right away. Her price was very reasonable and after we met with her in person to discuss the vibe of our wedding, we knew she was up to the task. Mollie was punctual and a pleasure to have around throughout the wedding day. Since the venue is fairly spread out, she recommended and arranged to bring a second shooter along to help capture some details as well as my wife and I getting ready. We had a lot of combinations when it came to wedding party and family portraits, but Mollie captured all of them quickly so we were able to spend more time enjoying the cocktail hour and reception with friends and family. She would give advice as needed as to how to tweak our poses of facial expressions but struck a pleasing balance between letting us figure it out for ourselves and controlling our every move. This left us feeling relaxed and natural, and it shows in the photos. The week following the wedding, Mollie sent us a teaser photo set. It was such a nice treat to get while on our honeymoon. The rest of the photos were delivered in a timely fashion and we've been thrilled with all of them. So far, this review is only in regards to our correspondences up till now as well as our recent engagement shoot this past Sunday. So I did a ton of research before I hired Alyssa. Among thirty other photographers from Ventura county as well as Orange County, I decided she was the best suited for my fiancé and me. She will try her best to work with you to create a customized package you are happy with. Her prices are reasonable and competitive. Plus, my wedding will be in Fullerton, CA and she agreed to travel there to shoot it. Alyssa's also great at corresponding to emails and will usually reply to your emails within 24 hrs, give or take. Her vision is very modern, candid, and artsy. She's great with lighting and has a very unique vision. She literally can turn brick walls and plain grassy patch into a vision of art and beauty. I would say her style is very nature based. Her turn around time seems pretty fast as well. I believe it's 4 weeks (or shorter!) for engagements and 8 weeks (or shorter hopefully!) for weddings. I asked for my pup to be in a couple of the pictures with us and Alyssa was happy to do so. She was patient with my dog who took some time to settle down and was happy to hold treats in her hand if she needed to. Either way, I'm happy with her work so far.
