Never again. Very friendly people, but the first time I took it there, they messed up my lug nuts on my wheels and then told me they were "getting bad" and had me buy a new set. That set was an after-market set and had rusted over in less than 2 months. When I called to tell them, they were nice and said "bring it back in and we'll take care of it for you." I was happy about that. When I brought it back, I had a short list of work for them to do including brakes, rotors, oil change, tire rotation and more. I requested OEM lug nuts to replace the rusted ones I previously paid them $70 for. They also took my car for a ride themselves to listen for a noise I had told them about. When I returned to pick up my car after their garage hours, I had TWO flat tires, the same type of aftermarket lug nuts that had rusted previously (and are already chipped and unsightly, only 8 days later), and my tires had not been rotated. I walked around to the showroom and a worker was still present. When I told him about the flat tires and how his mechanics were the last to drive my vehicle, his exact response was "well, flat tires happen" and directed me to a 7eleven down the street to get fix-a-flat. I spent $600 here, and then had to get new tires from Pep Boys. read more

I normally don't call out specific names, but I'm extremely unsatisfied with the experience I had at Ford Bethlehem. I received three different explanations from three different service employees regarding the same issue. Our mechanic we use confirmed a water pump crack, no other misfires or codes and no engine light on. So I brought my car to Ford due to the crack in the water pump, which was covered under my extended warranty. Ford called to explain the problem and said I'd have my car back by Thursday (within two-three days). I didn't hear anything further but also knew it was around the 4th of July holiday, so I gave it some time. Five days later, I had to call them, only to speak to someone different and be told another story that I could either: 1. Pick my car up as is, with engine light on. Mind you my engine light never was on prior to bringing it to ford. 2. Or to pay $675 for a repair that wasn't covered by the warranty because of "wear and tear". If I hadn't known any better they would have hustled me for $675 right on the spot. First I was told coolant had gotten onto the spark plugs due to an error made during the water pump replacement. Despite having no prior misfires or error codes, I was suddenly responsible for a major repair that wasn't even needed before. When I explained that spark plugs typically don't need replacement until 75,000-100,000 miles (Im under 70,000), the story shifted. After asking to talk to the manager, they came back and said it wasn't the spark plugs"it was actually the coil. This entire ordeal lasted over two weeks and wanted to tack on $675. When I challenged their explanation, the dealership claimed it was a a misunderstanding .Of course it was because they were caught trying to pass off a repair they caused as a wear-and-tear issue. Thankfully, our mechanic we use yearly got involved and even called the dealership. Only then did things change. In the end, I paid my $100 deductible and an A/C tune-up, and guess what? The check engine light turned off without me ever paying the $675. Clearly, they fixed the problem they caused free of charge. This experience confirmed why so many people distrust dealership, poor communication, inconsistent stories, and attempts to take advantage of customers. Needless to say I will never return to Ford Bethlehem and would not recommend them to anyone. read more

Our vehicle displayed a "Transmission Fault Service Now" alert. We immediately brought the car to Bethlehem Ford that evening and spoke with Bill in service. Thursday morning, we called Ford for an update. Bill made it seem really bad. He said their technician found a crack in the transmission case requiring FULL TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT. He claimed the technician had diagnostic codes for a TCM (Transmission Control Module) and promised to provide both an estimate and a photograph of the crack. Then charged over $200 for the inspection. Little did we know, we'd find out it was all a hoax... We went to Ford to pick up our vehicle to consider a second opinion. We also asked Bill for a video of the crack. All of a sudden, he starts telling us how the crack is internal and we won't be able to see it. Which made me question how he was able to see it. He also said there was oil leaking, which indicates a crack on the inside. Later, Bill admitted (or back tracked) this fluid may be something other than transmission fluid. Feeling very skeptical and suspicious of Bill and Ford by now, we took our vehicle to LG Transmission, down the road, who offers to everyone FREE transmission inspections. The LG technician immediately pointed out that Ford COULD NOT HAVE IDENTIFIED AN INTERNAL TRANSMISSION CRACK WITHOUT COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLING THE TRANSMISSION--something Ford had not done. LG Transmission diagnosed the actual problem: a P0606 code indicating a PCM (Powertrain Control Module) issue. IN NO WAY was this a transmission problem. It may have seemed that way from the dashboard message, but there was absolutely no evidence of a transmission issues. LG Transmission actually printed out a list of possible things to fix. It was a report that gave even the amount of times each suggested fix solved the issue and the error code would resolve. Not one of them listed was related to the transmission. Furthermore, if anything was wrong with the transmission, there would have been a code SPECIFICALLY indicating transmission issues. LG Transmission fixed a corroded negative battery cable, which resolved the code, and it never came back. (I'm writing this a month later and the car is still running fine). It cost $175 for parts and labor. Less than the inspection charge at Ford Bethlehem. This made me feel uneasy, as it was becoming apparently that Ford Bethlehem was clearly lying. But I still gave them the benefit of the doubt. So I called up and asked them for the codes that made them come up with this diagnostic. Bill was reluctant to give them. Forgetting to multiple times over the phone until I went back to Ford Bethlehem in person and demanded them. Still then did he tell me to wait a moment and he'd get the technician to tell him. Something he neglected multiple times. Finally Bill gave us the code. It was the same one LG Transmission had found. Nothing to do with transmission. I could not believe how black and white the two shops were. LG Transmission took the time to speak with me one on one. The mechanic himself explained the situation and what he thought would be the best steps. Meanwhile, Ford Bethlehem and Bill, literally LIED to us. However, they play this game where everyone there can blame someone else. Bill kept saying it was the mechanics. So they can easily avoid anything being called a flat out lie. I decided not to fight it. I only wanted my money back from the scam transmission inspection. He said yes he'd refund me, said he'd have to do it tomorrow when his manager is back, then looked me in the eyes and shook my hand. The following day, he never called me back. By the evening, I called Bill. He told me a list of excuses and said he can't give me a refund. I told him I'm coming down there and hung up. A man who doesn't have his word, has nothing in life. I got there, Bill ran to his manager and avoided even looking me in the eyes again. Complete cowardness. I explained the issue to Joshua, the service manager. Who finally accepted giving me a refund. Yet it still took weeks more of calling to finally receive it. read more

Absolutely NOT! I do not recommend this place to anybody, for sales or service. I have experienced both. I had a great saleswomen, Courtney, but besides that the entire experience was HORRIBLE. I had talked with the used car manager Harley, he was very unprofessional and rude over the phone and in person. It was a one year old vehicle, had some issues but I had the warranty, I took it in for service and it took forever just to fix one simple issue! It took over 8 hours and I had to wait in the building. Nobody communicated the progress of my car, nobody talked to me at all. My service advisor was NOT attentive at all. The waiting area is not nice, it's got bus station bench seating, no free snacks, drinks. It's not nice at all! The detail department in this place is also horrible! The car didn't smell the best at all, it was dirty on the inside and outside. I had to ask for it to be re cleaned or I wouldn't buy it, it smelled so bad and it didn't even look good at all, it didn't even look like the person who cleaned it had their eyes open! Absolutely awful! 2days ago (6/20/24 at 12:15 pm) I picked up my car from them. This is after like 10 weeks of unreturned calls, lies about the Dealership (Bill the Service Asst. Mgr.) "...calling up Car Shield." After checking this with Car Shield-only to discover 1 call in that entire time as actually made! I also used some $800+ in Uber costs because of the incompetence and inconvenience caused by being victimized by Koch Bethlehem Ford. Imagine the disappointment I felt when the exact grinding and power loss, coupled with the awful burning smell STILL existed! Bill Hamby blamed that burning odor on "...a battery cable." This was spelled out in a email on 6/18/24. This all occurred with in 10 minutes and 1 1/2 mile after departing Bethlehem Ford. When I returned and reported this to the Service Manager (Josh), he rode along , and recorded the grinding sounds (so did I)! He attributed the burning odor to "...oil on the manifold." Holy GOD! Josh put the car on machines and reported "all numbers add up good." This car was just passed for PA state inspection at 9:39 AM! There has been no improvement in this car. Imagine the horror of the danger posed as I attempted to drive home some 3 miles away. The smoke pouring from under my hood created such a danger to my life (and any future passenger's for that matter), I didn't make it home. Their flippant attitude in fixing (not) my car, and the stall tactics, as well as the lack of diligence and playing the [blame game] against Car Shield, combined the lack of conscience by Bill an his group, only added to the danger [they] created. Note that these are the worst of liars as most liars cannot simultaneously look you in the eye AND lie at the same time! The Service Staff accomplished both with relative ease, confidence and flair. Avoid any service at this dealership. They are supposed to be Ford experts which is why I brought my truck there. The job was to reprogram my replaced ABS module with my VIN number. A simple job with the Ford IDS software. Not for this shop. They had my truck in for about 15 minutes and said they tried twice and couldn't do it. They charged me for a full hour though. This is by far the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. The sales department pushed me in to buying a vehicle that was never properly inspected before the sale. I was told by sales it came on to the lot that morning and needed nothing. Just a few days later the car wouldn't start to our investigation there was a ton of corrosion to the battery and other attached parts to where a part corroded off of the battery. We were able to get the car to run on our own but the windshield wipers are not working. I took it in to service at the dealership where the car was purchased and a week later after being told it was no cost to me the car is not fixed and they now want to charge me $1100.00?!?! Send out letters for a recall 16 months after the NTSB issues the recall, then as people call you looking to get the work that you're legally obligated to preform done you make sure that you don't have the parts available for who knows how long and that you have your dealerships go into witness protection when people contact them. Excessive Labor Costs--Undisclosed. I had my brakes replaced and AC system serviced (fluid & dye) for almost $1300. The majority of the cost was labor ($775.63). Their costs are NOT disclosed prior to getting the work done. It is only when you are faced with the bill that labor charges are revealed. Turns out it's $170 labor for any diagnostic issue flat. Then, it's $85-$172 per hour after the $170. If the costs were disclosed prior to fixing my vehicle, I would have went elsewhere. A colleague recommended a service station up the street -- Joe's repairs on broad street (they also have a tire station) and noted he was charged a reasonable price for his repairs. read more

He was young and didn't realize that a car comes with two sets of keys, he paid for them to register the car and had to call twice after the temporary tags expired to get the plates and was promised a car cover that he never received. My son (in both our names) bought his used car in December. It's been been in the shop for about 4 of the 5 months he has owned it. They have been rude, do not return calls and when it's there they take weeks to 'fix' it. The last time he had to tow it there (3 times in under 3 months) they said it could take weeks before they even look at it. They also never offer a car for him to use in the process. To top it off, he had it towed out of there to another mechanic because they were taking their good old time to only find out the inspection stickers were not legit! Untrustworthy. I took my car there before we went on a road trip for an oil change. They said I needed brakes, so I got them done. 6,000 miles later I took it back for a recall issue, and my brakes were listed at 4 as well as my tires, which had less than 10,000 miles on. When I took it to my mechanic, my brakes were at 6 and 8 and tires were 8. Now I have to wonder if I really needed the back brakes they said I needed. read more

RUDE, RUDE MANAGER!!!  FORD NEVER AGAIN!!! Basically, all they care about is selling new cars! Once you buy one, they want absolutely nothing to do with you! I called because my 2017 Ford Escape has a manufacturing defect with the paint job!  All the paint is chipping off the column, on the side of the front windshield. I have never seen anything like this!  David the manager, had the nerve to tell me, I could fix the problem by buying a new car!! Once he found out I wasn't interested in buying a new car he told me to call Ford and he couldn't be bothered.  He didn't even try to find out what the issue was or apologize for the defect!  He acted like this was an isolated incident but when I researched the defect, I found that this was a major systemic problem with Ford Escapes and that there is actually a website specifically devoted to this and that there are hundreds if not thousands of complaints from others with the same exact issue. In addition, I asked David for a copy of the bill of sale for my insurance company and he gave me the runaround and then he ultimately, yelled at me.  David told me I was bothering him and he couldn't do anything for me!  What happened to customer service?  Is this the proper way for a manager of a dealership to act??  It's very obvious there is no customer service at this dealership whatsoever.  Apparently, this dealership was taken over several years ago and it's now absolutely horrible!! read more

If I could give Zero stars I would. This dealer took full advantage of my son when he bought his car recently from them. First of all it was a recent trade in and they did not do a proper inspection of the vehicle before even allowing their sales team to sell it. It took one week until they allowed my son to even take the car off the lot because of a tire pressure sensor. Now only 3 weeks later all of a sudden a brake line is bad and they wont fix the car without it costing my son $$$ which he shouldnt have to pay for because if they would have done the proper inspection of the car they wanted to sell and he wouldnt have this problem. I will not be recommending anyone to this dealer. I have every right to get a lawyer involved. My husband was going to purchase a brand new F250 from this dealer but now we will go to Nazareth Ford or to Gilboy and give them our business. Oh, How about today 12/8/20 My son showing me that they knew about the brake line before they sold it to him and never bothered to fix it. I also have a friend who has bought a car last year and she also has had problems with the whole KOCH dealerships. I just sold my vehicle to Bethlehem Ford. Clean Title, all my paperwork in order. They told I can pick up my check in a couple of days. It has been seven days now, still no check. I went by the dealership today and I could not believe the hostility I received. The sales manager told me that he will probably 'hold my check a few more days, just to make it more fun'. We recently purchased a "pre-owned certified" Focus from Bethlehem Ford. There was a checklist showing the many items & systems checked and serviced and/or found to be working properly. Soon after receiving the car a problem quickly became evident. When accelerating from a stop the car would hesitate and shudder. Checking online revealed that there was an open recall and TSB for a transmission problem. A 'certified' car should never have been sold by a dealer with an active recall. Moreover, it was obvious there was a likely electrical problem, dimming lights, etc. Took the car to an independent shop who I've used for years and they tested the battery. It was weak, marginally powering the electrical system. Yet another problem was with the cabin air filter. I checked it a few months after receiving the car. It was filthy, full of dried leaves, debris, and dead bugs. It looked like it was never changed since new. I can replace this myself, but again, an item that should have been looked at when certifying the car. read more

Overall Bethlehem Ford has very unprofessional and have unethical business practicing. My husband's car was at their services department for over 2 months without work being done on it. Week after week we were told give them a few more days to finish it. We had to rent cars, take cabs and buses to get around. We filed multiple complaints with Ford Corporate Office and the Better Business Bureau to which they never answered. We were told by Gary the service Manager that they had to prioritize and our car was not a priority. After finally going into the Dealership and speaking to a sales person who took our information to give to the VP Kurt, After Kurt got involved they were finally able fixed the car. I discussed with Gary taking Money off the the repair bill due to the cost incurred with rentals and buses, Which Kurt is now saying they can not do, because they had to pay overtime to one of their guys to fix our car. Not to mention that it was told to us that our car is older and other newer cars needed to get back on the road before ours, which I assume makes it no longer important to them. They are a Sham and Con-artists. I am headed to file a civil claim at the Magisterial District Courts, I will be sending my report to the news 6 ABC Consumer Reports as well. DO NOT USE this FORD DEALER/Services Department! Read all of the reviews, they all say the same thing. If we had checked reviews prior we would have gone to the Ford in Nazareth. I did purchase the 3 year power train warranty because the truck, although in great condition, was 12 years old and over 100,000 miles. We'll see if it really does cover anything. I told them I shouldn't have to pay for that, then they gave me a hard time and tried to blame the previous mechanic who worked on the car. It was a mess. I have been dealing with them for years (we are a garage). They were my "go to" dealer but no more. The new man in parts is incredibly rude (maybe because I'm a woman?) and almost impossible to understand. After almost 5 minutes on the phone he had no listing-I gave him the V.I.N. #- or $ for the part I was looking for and basically hung up on me. 30 seconds after contacting another local dealership I had a $ and next day availability if ordered by a certain time. I first called Bethlehem Ford in June when I received the "IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL" on our Ford Ranger. I was told that I would receive a return call when the part was available. I called again in July and was told that the part is on back order and I would receive a call when it was available. It is now August and I have not received a call from this dealership/ service department to even tell me if and when they expect to have the part. I assumed the 2006 Ford Escape that I bought from Bethlehem Ford was going to be drivable since it was inspected less than a month before I bought it. Unfortunately this inspection was completed by Bethlehem Ford... On the way home from the dealership all of my lights started dimming and brightening with the engine idle, which started idling pretty rough. I brought to my mechanic who said there were numerous problems with it, most of which should have been addressed during the inspection. I contacted Bethlehem Ford ASAP and they said to bring it in so they could "look at it". When I brought up another one of the inspection issues, a gasket blown out by the muffler, I was told it had "just a small exhaust leak" and they refused to address that problem. There is no gray area when it comes to exhaust systems in PA. If there is any leak it does not pass inspection, period. The only repair they attempted to address is the light issue. They ended up replacing a fan for my radiator which didn't fix anything. Now my engine gets extremely hot on top of the light and idle issue. I'm afraid to drive it anywhere because with the engine getting so hot it will cause more things to break. I have this freshly "inspected" unusable vehicle sitting in my driveway just taking up space. Since it's my only vehicle, I have to get a ride from someone else if I need to go anywhere. Which is making my life extremely difficult to say the least. The store owner said "they looked at it, that's all they promised to do" and will not return my phone calls. I am extremely unsatisfied with my experience at Bethlehem Ford. I strongly recommend never taking your vehicle into Bethlehem Ford for an inspection or service work of any kind. read more

They were very candid, courteous and, most important, respected our time and input throughout the process. No games, no scripted sales pitch or patronizing overuse of our names, no adversarial back and forth, just a respectful and straightforward process that got the deal done in short order. They had to trade out to get the exact car we were looking for, and had it on the lot within 24 hours of our request. We got the exact car and price we wanted, and that deal was delivered by what we believe are some of the best people we have ever encountered in the car business. If you are in the market for a Ford product, we submit there is no better customer experience than that delivered by Bethlehem Ford. read more

Mostly good work. BUT: Took my Explorer in for noisy wheel bearings, which they replaced. I then noticed (within 10 minutes of driving away) that there was a gradually worsening squeak coming from the left rear brakes. This continued to happen for weeks, during which time I brought my vehicle in multiple times. I finally gave up on them and brought my vehicle to a different shop, that found that the "brake hardware kit, rear" parts were not installed on that side. They installed them (at a cost to me of $75) which immediately fixed the problem. This is actually the second time I had major brake problems after they worked on them, the previous time left me with grooved rotors because the brake pads wore through prematurely due to something they did. read more

Service is terrible. I have had my F150 in there at least 4 times for the same issue and they can't fix it. Each time they tell me they had to fix something else and that might correct the other issue. Without fail, a few days after I leave their shop I get the same warning messages on the dash. I went here to get my car fixed. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND going here. I asked them to check something in my car, they quoted an ABSURD price and told me I needed to replace a part that does not even exist. After servicing my car with them I found out that they had made a mistake on my car causing a loud sound to come from the engine. When I displayed my dissatisfaction they refused to work with me and told me to leave my car overnight for another hefty fee just to check their own error. They were extremely condescending and laughed at me when I tried to work with them on this issue. They told me that they did absolutely "nothing" to my car and simply looked at it while previously someone else had already charged me $50 for a 1.5 hour long diagnosis and claimed they had to take my whole car apart. These people lied to cover up their mistake and belittled me for recognizing it. I brought my car to another auto shop the next day and they were shaking their head at the ridiculous quote and confirmed the non-existent parts and fixed it for me for less than half the price. Overall this place seems like a shady business that tries to cheat their customers for their own benefit, do not go here. read more
