Do not use their service if you want people who are caring. I was offered a free 2 hour move with Betos for working with an apartment locator named Portia. They asked me to pay a $99 booking fee so I did. Yesterday I picked up my keys to the apartment and found the unit to be in a horrible state. With disgusting odor of Indian food. A catastrophe. I immediately reached out to Betos to tell them of the emergency and asked them to please work with me to reschedule for when the unit is properly ready. This is one day before the scheduled move which is supposed to be today. The state of the unit was uninhabitable. I could not in good conscience MOVE my stuff into the unit. The person immediately said I will have to pay another $99 booking fee despite me sharing the details of my situation. I asked them to consider the fact that I'm already dealing with this emergency and cannot afford to pay yet another fee. He said "please understand this is a business" What I understand is the lack of customer service and human decency. Even though I'm experiencing a major emergency situation that is not my fault. Horrible horrible expierence with this company! They quoted me 300 for two hours and I asked for them to stop at two hours and they wouldn't. The move took exactly 4 hours and I was charged 600. My brand new appliance was damaged. The movers didn't put any of my furniture they took apart together. They wouldn't even put my bed together after the manger told me they would. I'm a student and couldn't afford the additional cost and they did it anyways. Now I'm out a few hundred dollars. They complained that my boxes were heavy. I got Beto's name from the property manager at the Rienzi, where I currently resided. I was moving from the 4th floor to the 3rd floor. Sounds simple, right? After calling Beto, I explained I had some large and expensive items and he needed to come out and give me an estimate. He said he could do it with 2 men, but I insisted he come and look. I owned a logistics company for 30 years, so I understand how this should be done. After coming out we agreed on 3 men at a cost of $900.00. I didn't care, I only wanted it done right. Well, that turned out to be a dream. We booked the move over a month in advance. Two days before the move he called and said he couldn't do it on the agreed upon date. After bickering, we had to change the date. Even though we were only moving 1 floor and didn't need truck, he didn't even use blankets for the move..only shrink-wrap. There is damage to every piece of furniture and artwork. Ranging from scratches to gouges. I should also mention one of their workers was hitting on my wife, as I was not present during the move. I called and left Beto a message and never heard back. The bottom line is these guys are incompetent and ill-prepared. I wouldn't recommend them to a dog. read more

Quick and careless. I've used this company on two moves: The first went fine, the second, not so much. While quick, there was damage caused to multiple pieces of furniture and appliances. Fortunately all but one of the damages were cosmetic, but the damage to the foot of the washing machine makes it almost impossible to move. Unfortunately didn't notice all the damage until the movers left but a half hour's pay was scratched off for the damage to the chair. Sent images of the rest of the damage to the owner and heard nothing back. Payment is also done in cash only so impossible to dispute. Would not recommend this company. And another thing, when your employees use someone's restroom the very least they could do is flush the toilet. read more

Had to move this past weekend and these guys were so nice. I anticipated helping more, but managed to pick up bronchitis, so I didn't get to help. They were able to get a 1bd/1bh with two large couches and a glasstop desk moved down four floors of stairs, and back up one level at the new complex in less than 2 hours. Very efficient! Movers were well aware of the clock to try and keep it under the two hours while being careful. The moved us from the 8th floor to a house in almost exactly two hours. My only complaint is that they scheduled a time and then asked to move it on the day of. I had coordinated my internet set up at the new place based in the old time so I could not budge. They moved slow and damaged my furniture. They hustled me for my time since they pay by the hour. They will not return my phone calls about the damaged furniture. They moved my stuff into storage and from the truck it took 2.5 hours. Yet when I used a better company, Five Star Moving, they moved me out of storage in half the time. I just completed my 5th move with Betos and have enjoyed the service mainly because they work extremely fast and I have not had any problems. They moved my extra refrigerator twice now, upstairs with ease. I recommend moving the doors yourself to make it easier because it's not the most fun item coming out of an apt move. They covered items with blankets for the relocation and even went beyond their scope with moving items that I did not initially require. I only saw a cup broken but that's nothing compared to the money I saved, plus I didn't seal the box securely nor wrap any dishes. I always compare other movers and continue to use this company because what's more important for my move needs are speed and low cost. My brother, best friend, and cousins have used the service. $239 for two movers and a 26 foot truck for 2 hours. The showed up exactly at 5 o'clock as promised. They worked hard to get the truck filled quickly. We also helped load the truck because every additional hour after the two hours is $95. They took apart the bed and loaded things with care. When we arrived they were quick to get things off the truck and we finished with 7 minutes to spare on the two hour window. The only reason I'm not giving the full 5 stars is that when we finished and asked him to reassemble the bed he said it would take 10 minutes and that would bump us into the next hour (by 3 minutes) and we'd have to pay for a half hour block. So basically he wanted $50 dollars for 3 extra minutes. We ended up going to buy the tool for $4 and doing it ourselves and indeed it took 10 minutes. The guys were hard workers and very polite. I used Beto's moving 9/20/2018 moving out of my apartment and I could not be happier with the service. I paid for them to help move me from 8am-10am and they arrived about 15minutes early and got right to work. What really impressed me is when we got to my new place, there was about 10 minutes left in my time and they still had to make one more trip to make, and instead of taking their time and saying it would cost me more, he offered to put my queen bed together. Not only did I wait for them at my storage unit for over an hour, when I called and texted I didn't hear back from them. I used them to move my 2 bedroom apart 60+ miles north. I was nervous about the move but they reassured me and made everything go smoothly, I didn't have to worry about a thing! This is truly mixed review. First, I have used this moving company in the past. They were prompt and careful and called to confirm before the move. However, the second time that I used them, we had some hiccups. When they called me to confirm year 2, I requested a packing service to assist me with packing the Thursday before my Sunday move. We confirmed dates, time, and fee for 2 packers. I felt the pricing was fair and chose to move forward. A week later, (The following Thursday) they were late. So late that I called them. I was informed that there were truck problems and a 45 minute delay was expected. 45 minutes passed- no packers. Eventually we talked and I was asked if I wanted to pay for a 3rd packer. Agitated I replied, "no. I'm not interested in paying for an extra packer this late to make up for the time you weren't here." They finally arrived and were very efficient, all 3 of them. I was not charged for the 3rd packer, but they worked as quickly as possible so I tipped all 3 and gave them bottles of water as they tried to make the best of my time. Before they left, I signed the receipt, got a copy, and confirmed Sunday's move. At this point, I'm feeling like they've redeemed themselves- until Sunday... Sunday rolls around and something in my heart says, "call and confirm they are coming bc of Thursday." I did. To my dismay, the mover replies, "today? I have you down for next Sunday! Is there anyway we can move your date?" I was upset! I had to be out on that day and had taken off of work. After he made some phone calls, moved around some appts, and 4 hours later- 2 men showed up. The mover was apologetic for his "honest mistake". They rushed but 4 hours later had me all moved. Again I have them numerous cold waters and tipped them bc moving sucks. What sucks more is not sending written confirmation via email and having to cancel your own appts due to a late moving company. I'd like to consider using this company again, but I'm not sure I feel confident doing so,nor do I feel confident recommending them. read more
