This place has style and ambience and a great staff- and lots of them! Busy little bees! Great aesthetic, clever little design elements with of course a BEE theme. Nice merch, well displayed. The pastry case is extremely inviting and what spoke to me today was the cheese danish with coconut. I swarmed it, maybe you're supposed to take more than three bites? They warmed it up for me and it was delicious. I'm usually a really BIG tipper but when you pay just short of six $$$ dollars for a single pastry these days, I don't see why you should tip when basically all someone has to do is ring it up for you and throw it in a bag.You know what I mean? So lately, for the first time in my life I'm starting to not tip at places like this. I feel a bit guilty, but I am retired. I think the way to do it is to throw a dollar in there every third visit or something, just my feeling. A cumulative tip.Ha! Anyway, the staff is always real pleasant and kind. I'm not one for fancy coffees, but they do look appealing. I've tried their coffee before, but it doesn't really work for me. I prefer that at home. But it's an adorable spot and always has a good amount of nice patrons enjoying themselves. I just overheard a gentleman say to his wife as he was walking out the door: "This tastes better than Starbucks" while sipping one of those fancy triple layered multicolored drinks. There is usually plenty of outdoor seating and easy parking. There is also a bunch of great little shops nearby, including SEES candy and a handful of restaurants, etc. Target, Michaels, HomeGoods, you know the normal Mini-Mall "flif-flof'. It's a very pleasant spot. Look for: "COUNTRYSIDE MARKETPLACE " just off of Newport/Haun Rd near Highway 215. Let me pop back inside and throw a couple of shekels in the "tip jar"! THIS PLACE ROCKS!!!!! From the minute you come in, you're treated like family. EVERYONE is showering you with "Hello, welcome in!" Been coming here since they opened ( which isn't easy ) as I was accustomed to my Starbucks grind and have brand loyalty for the *most part. But deep down I always want to give my business to local "mom and pop" shops as I enjoy giving to the local community where I can. Better Buzz gives you that feeling of being a local spot w/o the commercial feel. Their pastry choices are the best I've ever come across and is site specific which are transported every morning freshly made from a bakery in San Diego . The Killer Bee is my personal favorites drink as I'm a glutton for caffeine that will coast me through my busy day without crashing. You should try it but fair warning it's not for rookies as it packs a punch! Ashely the manager is the sweetest and always makes you feel like a priority. Shes great at pointing you in the right direction regarding drinks and food if unsure and if you don't like what you've ordered, she always accommodates. Stopped by recently and the experience was pretty disappointing. The staff never greeted me, didn't say a word while taking the order, no eye contact, which is okay, but you should acknowledge the customer. I told the barista "thank you" after getting my drink, there was still no response at all. I did leave a tip, I did smile, and was genuinely friendly when ordering. Thought I may have come at a bad time, but the staff were laughing and talking with each other. The coffee itself was fine, but customer service matters. This Better Buzz is my go to location when I need a quick drink; they are always reliable and quick to make your order. This Better Buzz is located in a plaza with many shops, making it difficult to find parking at times. When I'm inside, it's always "buzzing" with people and business, but that doesn't stop the workers from being kind and sweet. They've recommended me to try their Best Drink Ever with a cinnamon cold foam on top, and they were absolutely right about how it's the "best ever". Since the barista suggested to me, I can't stop drinking it. I did end up trying their pistachio best drink ever, and I actually didn't like it. Another favorite of mine is their breakfast burrito which has eggs, hash, cheese, and a chili crunch. I denoted a star because I think their burritos can be better. Their burrito tastes significantly different than other locations. Otherwise, this location is very decent. The interior is always clean and fully stocked with merchandise for purchase. Everything about this coffee shop is an immediate YES. They're friendly, fast paced & hip to all the current coffee trends. The actual quality of their own brand roasted beans are unmatched! Located in the Countryside Marketplace on Haun & Newport near Chipotle with plenty of parking and nice indoor/outdoor seating options. The lobby was clean, organized an has a merch section. It was my first visit, and I'm a bit conflicted. I ordered a hot Vanilla Bean Latte and an Apple Cinnamon Muffin; unfortunately, the latte felt a little watered down and the muffin was served cold which gave it a hard consistency. Service was okay. I like their rewards system and their app. Ordering online and picking up is a breeze and they get the drinks ready on time for pick up. The drinks and pastries are good. I like being able to customize my drink. I tried to do some work here once, but there are no outlets so if you're trying to hunker down to study or do work, this isn't the best place for that. When it gets busy it's also pretty loud However, when it is busy, the drinks do come out pretty quickly. Today, waited over 15 minutes for it to be made (while holding my 16 month old the whole time), got no apology or even a heads up that they were out of granola. This was my first visit with my bestie and we had the most magical experience. As soon as we walked in, we enjoyed the inside of the cafe because it is so aesthetically pleasing. The color palette inside was the perfect pick. As we reached the register, Melissa helped us out and made the experience even better. This coffee chain is tucked away in the corner. Parking was a challenge but not terrible. They were buzzing. So much so that they didn't get my order right. My coffee came out before my pistachio croissant. My teen got an apple fritter. There was a mix up and he handed me 2 pistachio croissant not warmed like I asked for. I had to go back and ask for the apple fritter. Regardless, the pistachio croissant warmed was not great. The cold pistachio was better but the filling on top just doesn't work.
