I was not rushed and able to take time to explain my full medical history and concerns. I needed blood drawn for labs and Mrs. Esther was flawless in finding my tricky rolling veins, no pain! Both of the receptionists were kind, and though they were having some computer issues that morning that caused them to think I was late, they got me processed in and out in a timely fashion. I will update this review if anything changes but I had a good experience, they really seem like a family there.

I was in the middle of explaining my concerns to her and asking for support from the practice and she hung up the phone! The answering service tries to schedule you to different offices. Trying to speak with someone at the office, you're on hold for 20 plus minutes. You finally get a hold of a real person, and they are just plain rude and unhelpful. The office staff has no compassion and adds stress to an already stressful situation. Once this practice was sold to Mercy and the original doctors started retiring, it lost all sense of mercy. The retired doctors did find fabulous replacements, the office staff make it incredibly difficult to see them. No wonder Dr. offices are losing so much revenue to Urgent Cares.

The provider covering for her thought going over chart review and making sure medication were right was an award winning act. That's your job as a provider. We could never get directly to anyone that and if we did each person seems clueless to what the next was doing. That's concerning. We had calls that they didn't have insurance in the system and everytime we scheduled follow ups they would call within 3 days to cancel it. After that if I asked for them to accommodate they said they were bended over backwards for us. HOW!? They asked us to leave the practice and we gladly are because we were only staying to see if Dr. Steffensmeier was returning. ​

She is quick to rush you out the door & limits the amount of health complaints you can talk to her about during your visit. She told me the clinic only allows her to spend 7-10 minutes per patient & spends most of this time typing in her laptop so be prepared for her to walk out of the room when your time is up! Lately she is not really concerned with patient care. She does no research when it comes to helping a patient that is not doing well & she simply tries multiple medications until she can hopefully guess which one may or may not help you feel better. She looks tired & frustrated & this comes across with her lack of compassion & NASTY attitude towards the staff & patients. You can hear her yelling at her staff routinely when she is upset. I believe she has forgotten that without a loyal staff she could not be successful at helping patients improve their health.. Don't bother calling the triage nurse over the phone if you need a refill; it takes more than a week for the office to get back to you or your pharmacy but they will try to get you to come in for more visits to get your refills which most doctors will do over the phone when they call your pharmacy. Stay away from this clinic! The nasty attitude of this doctor has confirmed to me that she is not happy with her job but that is no reason for her to take it out on her staff & patients. Doctor Weatherington either quit your job & move on or think back to why you became a Doctor way back during your younger days. I am sure you have lost your way & pray you find it again. If not just retire... you are done!

At my appointment, based on zero evidence and not even having access yet to my medical records, she doubted an established medical diagnosis that I have lived with for several years. This was concerning because I require medication for the condition, and was left feeling that I was going to have to prove my condition by undergoing a repeat of tests. She further showed her ignorance by commenting in my chart msg that there was "no sign of the disease", but she did not request the lab that shows the condition. All she could see was that my levels were not low (because of the medication in my system). Then today I accidentally overslept my appointment. I called to apologize and ask to reschedule. I have had the flu for weeks and am exhausted. It was accidental, and I didn't mean to inconvenience her. I was told she would consider if she would allow me to continue as her patient and get back to me next week. Are you kidding me? I'll just go somewhere else.

Our family has seen dr Macheret since our youngest son was in 5th grade. He is now 26 and a doctor…read moretoo. We love this tender hearted man who are very capable as a surgeon but try everythi g he possibly can to apply natural health practices before invasive surgery and strong medicine with harmful side effects. Since he spend quality time with each patient there is a bit of a waiting but never too long. I love taking our little grandkids to him too. I'm so thankful to have him as our doctor.
