Literally minutes after sitting at the bar, the same host is seating parties of 2 at waterside tables. When a party left behind the bar at a table we asked to move and the same host said it was not possible due to it being a 4 top. Never mind that a party of two was just sitting at it. Food was 4/5. Hospitality was a 0. The bartender asked us to come back when the host was not working. We won't be back. read more

We went on a Sunday for brunch, I had steak and eggs with home fries. And I had asked the waitress if I could sub my eggs for grits. Which she was so happy to do! My meal came out with eggs and grits no home fries. They took it back and it came out with regular French fries that weren't even done and the steak was over cooked. They also messed up another member of my party's food. There is not many places in Georgetown that are open on a Sunday. If you are looking for a fancy place to eat with a waterfront view this is the place. However if you are just looking for good food I would not recommend this place. read more

Fantastic view. Band was great. We came for drinks and dinner. Hostess seemed very overwhelmed and could hardly form complete sentences. She lost track of our party despite giving us a buzzer. Took forever to get drinks at the bar and bartenders were working awfully slow for the volume of business. Once we got seated, things went smoothly until my husbands entree didn't get served/was told very late that they ran out of his meal. By then the rest of the party was almost done with our meal. The service recovery/customer service was a bit lacking. In all, had a mediocre dinner experience but would try it again. Hopeful they get the kinks worked out because this place has a lot of potential. read more

An excellent bar and wonderful bartenders. Food service was horrible. Server was overwhelmed and Was not knowledgeable. Sighed and said "oh, they seated two more" when she saw us. Pork chops were thin and fried beyond leather. Rice was over and undercooked. Service was slow. On the upside, great bluegrass. But awful lot of small town drama. Come for drinks. I love the atmosphere and view. That part is really fun. The oysters on the half shell that we had were delicious despite the menu saying that they're from Maryland. Is there a Cape Cod, MD or is there a major mistake on the menu? Regardless they were everything you want an oyster to be. The Bloody Mary deviled eggs are fantastic. So creative and delicious. The drinks were fine. There were some things that were not great like the tuna tartare. The tuna was just mush while the filler stuff was left in huge chunks. This meant that the texture was honestly gross even though the flavor was good. It was a pretty big turnoff. The server was nice enough but not very attentive and I feel like we shouldn't have had to ask for our plates that were piled up with oyster shells to be taken away when the oyster plate was gone. The other thing (and this is not their fault so doesn't figure into my rating but worth mentioning because it affected our experience) is the neighbor. That yard looks so trashy and there were FIVE large dogs that just barked their heads off the entire time. Look, I love dogs. A lot. But it is very hard to ignore five of them barking the whole time. I don't get it. I wanted to love this place. Their specials look so good on FB. And I think when it's good, it's really good. I just don't know if I can get past the plate of mush served as tuna tartare. Having said all of that, I probably will be back. There's not a better view in the area and it's a fun atmosphere. Just had an awesome lunch at Between the Antlers. The atmosphere is super fun, right on the water on Front street in Downtown Georgetown. Our server Caleb was awesome and helped our crazy crew navigate through the menu with great suggestions. I had the Bologna sandwich was reminiscent and delicious. The perlou fritters wer also wonderful. Our entire table was pleased, we will be back soon. read more

I hesitate to add this review, because I'd love to keep it our little secret! But the food, riverside dining, and friendly and efficient service put most restaurants North of Charleston to shame. I wish we'd found this spot sooner, but having lunch here riverside on the day we fly back to rainy and chilly Chicago was the perfect way to end our vacation near Pawleys Island. First trip was great!! Good band friendly bartenders- Second trip tonight- Had to bring in the big dog Tom- He was un aware that his staff has been undermining the restaurant and the new opening... The restaurant is epic! Great location, Foods awesome. Especially the shrimp and grits.. Training in customer service is a must. When a bartender loses his cool it's time to toss that trash out... Just happened upon this place while traveling from Florida and fell in love! I had a great conversation with the bartender. Great recommendations of wines. The crab soup is absolutely amazing. And the shrimp salad is the bomb! I live in South Florida and would definitely drive this trip just to have another great meal great glass of wine and superb atmosphere. read more

Food was so so, the BLOT was pretty good with a fried green tomato and oysters. The French fries were a hit with my son, but his chicken fingers were only half breaded and soggy. They were out of the mocktail my wife ordered. The service was next to horrendous as we waited forever and ever for everything. I had to get up to ask the host stand for my check. Not much was memorable and we were eaten alive by bugs. read more

Had previously had two good meals here, but today was a completley different experience. The food was OK, but the restaurant was full of dead and live flies. We were swarmed by flies, needing to constantly swat them away. And we were sitting at an inside table. The waitress was very new and great. The restaurant was aware of the fly problem and didnt care, blaming them on the river. But what about the dead ones adorning the windowsills? It was awful to think about the flies being allover the kitchen as well. I just felt like this restaurant has given up. read more

If you have never been to this restaurant go! All of the recipes have a unique spin on some traditional food. The atmosphere is amazing! They have a fantastic bar. Now let's talk about the view... You have a beautiful waterfront view and you can easily walk around historic downtown Georgetown, South Carolina. If you happen to be staying in town, you can easily walk there as well. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I recommend sitting outside in the evening. read more

Went last year (2023) during our family vacation and put it on our list to go again next time. We went again this year and remembered why we had to go back. The view is beautiful being right on the water and this time live music was a great addition. I would highly suggest the shrimp and grits or the fried grouper sandwich. Overall great atmosphere, incredible location/views, and fabulous design choices all around. We were thrilled at the prospect of enjoying an awesome meal, what could have been the best in town. Unfortunately, it was not. What a terrible sight of what's happening in the kitchen. There's a big glass wall so you can see it all and maybe they should reconsider the design. The woman who got our drinks at the bar (bartender) had her hair down and wasn't dressed like she should be in the kitchen. Turns out she spent most of her time there, plating food, smoothing her hair every few minutes, eating food, plating, hair smoothing, expo, running food, face touching, hair touching, plating, running food, repeating. Absolutely Disgusting. We ordered the brisket fries which were supposed to come with burnt ends, but this same woman sliced thick brisket slabs from under the heat lamp display right at said glass wall, smothered it in (too much and not even really melted) cheese and brought it out. It wasn't good. We saw the same plate go out at least twice and it looked totally different because (we assumed) an actual chef plated those. I'm also assuming she cooked the fries because they weren't fried hard enough. Everything was under-seasoned. Great texture on the brisket but no flavor. No char. And definitely nothing burnt end about it. I am at a loss for words. It even appeared that the owner/s was/were there allowing this travesty of kitchen etiquette to happen in broad daylight. We sat at the bar for over an hour and couldn't look away. The kitchen was a train wreck. On our way out, while waiting for the bathroom, we watched the same woman and another server eating over the brisket. Blatantly just snacking on whatever they could grab in and around the expo area. Wanted to love, but sadly, the BOH/food management of this place severely let us down. Highly recommend for just drinks!!! read more

What's between the antlers? Empty space! What's the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different outcome. On a recent trip to Georgetown we came across this metal building on the water with very mixed reviews. It seems that all negative reviews are pointing toward two items, their service #1 and their food #2. I'm happy to report that due to #1 they didn't have the benefit of our groups business. The hostess was very unaccomidating to say the least and we gave them a chance to make good after reminding them about previous Yelp reviews regarding the same issues of seating. An olive antler was extended despite them being at less than half capacity but there was no waiver from the hostess so I informed her it was a shame she lost them money and business yet again. I really wanted to like this place, but we showed up and were treated very rudely by the hostess. She told us it would be at least an hour wait, which we were willing to do while we listened to live music and had a beer. She then told us there was no room - (although there were several empty tables)-even at the bar and we'd have the come back another time. when we asked if we could place a " to go" order she said we would have the wait an hour to do that.after she walked away, we walked up the the bar, found seats, drank a couple of beers and the empty tables were never filled. We ended up at a really great- new restaurant-down the road-with a beautiful view. Maybe we will give it another try??? read more

View - location and atmosphere are outstanding. Service was fantastic. I so, so, so want them to do well. Unfortunately the food was bland. The presentations were attractive, but the flavors were sleepy. We had the brisket fries. The brisket was somewhat shredded like a pot roast but not even a salt and pepper flavor. The special- a pan seared grouper looked stunning. Flavor was flat. Shrimp and grits was on rice grits- needed at least salt, pepper and got sauce. They are 80% of the way there- just need to wake up the bland flavors! read more

Really awesome place! Perfect location tucked away from the boards of Georgetown, but with the best view of the water!! We wound up here at 5:30pm on a Wednesday just in time for some live acoustic jams. We sat right next to the stage and were able to enjoy the music yet still be able to have a conversation. The food was fantastic! I opted for the special of salisbury steak with creole rice, veggies, slaw, and cornbread. It was a lot of food and full of flavor! Service was excellent too, Hayes was extremely attentive. The outdoor seating area was huge and mostly covered. Seems like a great place to meet with friends and family, or even a nice date night! We look forward to going back whenever we are back in the area. read more

I've been here three times so far, once for lunch, once for Sunday brunch, and once for dinner. I've found it's best for lunch and brunch. The hash brown skillet at brunch was delicious. The fried bologna sandwich at lunch was also a winner, although it needed a more hearty roll -- it didn't stay together and I wound up eating it with a knife and fork. The dinner portion sizes for the money are too small, at least what we ordered anyway. The ribeye steak that one of us had was generous in size and tasty, which it should be for pushing $40. I had the chicken bog (photo attached) which was basically a small bowl of rice with some chicken, and one lonely sausage slice. Disappointing at $18. The she crab soup was tasty, the brisket fries are good, and the fritters weren't bad either. Our appetizer order came wrong, but the owner (I assumed) voluntarily credited it back even though we started eating it because we weren't sure exactly if it was right or wrong (the menu is eclectic, you'll see how we could be confused). One of our appetizers was their special deviled eggs, which were very good, but $10 for 4 halves is crazy. There were four of us dining, and two dinners came out about ten minutes after the other two, even though two of us ordered the same chicken bog dish. Go figure that one out. The atmosphere is great, location is the best in downtown as far as waterfront goes. Staff are friendly. The owners actively solicit their patrons' opinions, which is refreshing. For me though, the jury is still out. There are several outstanding restaurants along Front Street that offer absolutely delicious selections and generous portions for less money. I'll be curious to see how the Antlers works out. I'll give them another couple tries and sample other menu items. I'm not sure how it happened, I didn't ask for a receipt (should have, I guess) but my wife's grouper special, my sad chicken bog, a bowl of the soup of the day, the deviled eggs and two glasses of water came to $97 including a 20% tip. Either that grouper special was $45 or we were overcharged somehow. Or maybe I'm just stuck back in the economy we had in 2019. Either way, for me, it was hardly worth that kind of money. But I wish them great success, because their spot on the water is truly the best, and they do seem to be good people. read more

Not impressed. I'm not sure if it was customer volume or lack of servers or a combination of both. I tried to make a reservation earlier, but those are only for parties greater than 10, but I feel it would help a lot. They seem to have a identity crisis...are they a bar or a restaurant with a bar or what? As to the food. First. It took entirely too long for a scoop of pimento cheese and some semi stale saltines to arrive. The fried shrimp is WAY over breaded for this area, and southern red rice is NOT rice with tomato sauce on top. They also need a greater variety, as not everyone loves seafood. I am not totally dismissing this establishment, but I was less than impressed, and I'm a local. I will say this...the view is magnificent. read more
