I'll be honest I got this place with points and I'm telling you it is worth it if you are going to be in the LA area. The hotel overall is pretty pricey at $75 per night for parking but they do have a hotel service car that can take you anywhere within a 3 mile radius. Make sure to bring extra cash for tips and as a family that does not always stay in super luxury hotels we were able to DoorDash dinner. Fresh flowers, both in your room and around the whole hotel, they also gave us a set of macaroons on our first night. This has the feel of the Wynn in Vegas. I did not get to use the spa amenities, but they do have that as a complementary option.

We flew to Miami where our trip started. R and R hosted a wine and cheese party so everyone could get acquainted with each other. The next day we took the short flight over to Cuba. Once in Cuba we met our Cuban guide, Manny, who stayed with us for the duration of the trip. Manny's knowledge of Cuban history was very impressive. The trip included all hotels, transportation, tours and most meals. We started in Havana and loved our Hotel, the Malia Cohiba. R and R had activities planned for us around the clock. We toured a Cuban cigar factory (I bought a few cigars...), went to a couple of the local synagogues in Havana, brought needed items to donate to the local pharmacies and then I went to a baseball game. We stayed in Havana for a few glorious days and then boarded our air conditioned motor coach and went to Cien Fuegos. This city is on a bay so of course the ladies planned a bay cruise with cocktails and cigars, it was great! We then went to Trinidad, the oldest city in Cuba. Trinidad is frozen in time with cobblestone roads and the people still use horse and buggies. We were then taken to where the Bay of Pigs invasion took place. It was eye opening. Traumatizing Experience…read more I stayed at Nite Inn Universal City from May 30 - June 1, 2025. On the morning of checkout, the glass shower door in Room 114 spontaneously shattered while I was closing it, causing multiple cuts to my hands and feet. I was standing inside the shower, barefoot and stationary. This was not due to misuse -- just a dangerous, defective door. The front desk staff showed little to no concern, offered no first aid or professional cleanup, and initially refused to give me management's contact information. I was not offered another safe room, just a different shower in a recently vacated one - only the shower was cleaned by the front desk. Tiny shards remained in the bathroom, making it unsafe. What's worse: this could have happened the night before, or while my children were using the shower. I followed up multiple times -- management refused any reimbursement, (I felt a refund for 1 night -$400, was more than reasonable), and instead accused me of breaking the door. Despite photos clearly showing the break was spontaneous and my stationary position, they denied all responsibility. No apology, no care for guest safety. Avoid this hotel if you care about basic safety, accountability, or professionalism. I gave them multiple chances to come to an amicable solution and was instead met with hostility and callousness. STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK. I'm sure if everything went well, you would be ok with this basic motel due to it's proximity to the Universal Studios shuttle.
