If I could leave a negative number, I would. I went in for a specific wine that the internet said this location had. I asked where I could find it and a female sales person pointed me down the last isle on the right, and said it was all the way down on the left. I couldn't find it, and I know what it looks like. I heard two people talking in an office right where I was standing, so I asked if someone could help me. They stopped talking and ignored me. It made me a bit angry, so I went to the front of the store and told the lady at the register what happened, and that I needed help finding the wine. She put her head down and said nothing. So, I said I'll just leave. I decided to leave this review, but didn't see the address on the side of the building. I went back inside and the same sales clerk was walking toward me. I asked what the address was, she told me and I walked out. I believe she knew I was leaving a review but didn't care. The store was empty and only one other car was parked in the front. It has been quite a few years since my last BevMo visit. The "Mo" part of BevMo has certainly expanded. We decided to venture in on memories of great selection, and decent prices. While they do have some impressive high ticket items, the overall "Bev" selection just wasn't as impressive. (They were well stocked with the items they did carry.) The "Mo" is equivalent in size to a convenience store. (They now carry laundry detergent and other household cleaning items.) Prices weren't very competitive either. We were looking for more Bev and less Mo. Especially with SO many places to purchase the Mo items on Bell. BevMo is fine. We will stick with one of their competitors when look for drinks. read more

Recently visited the Glendale store (75th Ave and Bell Road) and customer service was horrible. When we entered there was a guy (working the register) with so much long curly hair you could barely see his face and he just stared at us as we walked by. It became really weird at the register where we said "hello" first to the cashier and he gave a grunt-like response. Unsure what kind of gel or solution he puts in his hair but he touches his hair and then touches each item. Also there was a long curly hair near the card transaction machine which was gross. We washed each of the bottles after we got home and will not be going back. read more

Hubby had a gift card to use there so we went here last Saturday morning shortly after 10 o'clock. Not very busy. First time in this store. It was well stocked and clean. Friendly customer service. We didn't have a Bevmo card to get the discount, so cashier did sign us up for one which didn't take very long to day. They are a bit pricier than Total Wine for the wine bottles we were comparing prices to but I think they have more other choices for other alcoholic drinks like whiskey, rum, etc., compared to Total Wine. It's a freaking huge liquor, beer, and wine store. You know what to expect. I love the selection, even though I have trouble finding some flavors of vodka (Pinnacle Cherry, Three Olives Purple). The staff is helpful as far as helping you find something, but I think I can teach them a thing or two about booze. And that's not saying much. Anyways, I think the keg selection is where this place shines. If you're doing something last-minute, you can find a domestic on the spot. Give it a few days in advance and you could be looking down a barrel of Dos Equis, Blue Moon, or even cider. Not my favorite store, but I can't go wrong. Since not sold in Michigan, I tracked down the last bottle on my side of town before leaving. I walked in, early in the morning and a employee was easy to find and eager to help. We were greeted as we came in. A women giving samples was in the front. Woman looked so miserable. We grabbed some beer and 2 beverages. The coke I purchased for my child was expired. We didn't notice this until we got home and he opened it to drink it. He told me that it tasted different and that it tasted like it had been sitting for a while. We all took a sip and it was flat and heavy. I looked at the date on the bottle and it had expired. Not by far but it's the only thing that made any sense for the nasty flavor. Brenda and Levi were fantastic on my last visit! I buy things I know that I like but they are knowledgeable about different wines that I may like so I use their recommendations in order to add to the list of wines that my wife and I like. Brenda, Levi and Ambra are always friendly and helpful when I come in. I live about 2 minutes from a different Bevmo but I always go to this Bevmo on 67th Avenue and Bell Road even though it is about 15 minute farther from my house. They use the same SKU number for several different products. It's moronic that they would do this, because it means that something that is listed as "in stock" is actually a different product, thereby wasting your time on a trip to this store. Stopped in to check out the new West side location. LOVE IT. Love it. It's like a warehouse of alcohol! They have everything. There were about 3 aisles each of wine and beer alone. Plus, every kind of liquor you could possibly need -- even those ingredients needed for classic cocktails, like chartreuse, maraschino, and pastis. To top it all off, their prices are quite reasonable. At first, I was surprised to see that their sale prices only knocked off a buck of two. But then I realized that their base prices were a lot lower than what you'd find in stores and specialty stores. So they didn't have a whole lot of markup to work with. I could have spent a great deal of money there, but I was able to restrain myself, and left with just a bottle of 100 proof vodka and a bottle of jager. However, I'll definitely be back when I have some spare cash, and want to stock my pitiful bar. read more

Unfortunately, it took multiple calls to different locations to find any in stock. Evidently, there is a guy out there who was one step ahead of me and is buying out the entire supply. This review is based off my experience renting a keg/tap from this store. I called about a week prior to my event, and whoever answered the phone was very abrupt and rude. I later learned that this was the store manager! I ordered a half keg of beer with a tap and no tub. When I went to pick up the keg and tap, I was rang up by Amy, the store manager (the same person I talked to on the phone, who took my order). She only rang up the keg; when one of the associates was helping me get the keg into my car (he is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1), I asked him if the tap is included. He said no, and I told him that I ordered the keg with a tap. He looked at the order form ATTACHED to the keg and said that I was correct. I had to go back into the store and pay for the tap rental separately. Throughout the whole process, from ordering over the phone to delivering the keg and tap back to the store, Amy was always extremely rude and abrasive. I would recommend that she take a few customer service classes, as I was almost in disbelief when I learned that she is the store manager. It's safe to say I will not be returning to BevMo if I ever need a keg. I went with them over Total Wine because they were cheaper, but it's worth it to just spend the extra money so that you can receive the correct order and great service. read more

I went into store with an outdated coupon, I left the current dated coupon at home, by mistake. The manager, a dark haired woman told me "no problem, just bring it back and we will take it off the bill. All good at this point. I then went home, dropped my purchase off and went back with the coupon. The current coupon was $75.00 spend and get $10.00 off. The outdated one was $50.00 and get $10.00 off. I spent $65.00. I returned to the store and a new manager was there and told me he couldn't do the offer. I asked if I could just add to my spend and explained I just dropped everything off at home and just spoke to the other manager. He told me no, sorry and didn't offer any solution. He said I needed all the product back in the store to reduce the order.l and give me the offer. I understand that they have policies, but 2 managers told me 2 different things and we're Not Friendly about it. I said never mind and thanks. What a hassle. I got back home and thought...I will load my purchase up and go get the deal or they can have my purchase back. When I returned he was not friendly and acted like I was bothering them and very short with me. I am taking this location off my list. I'm an American expat in the UK. You will very rarely find anything like BevMo in the UK or anywhere in Europe. Americans have a reputation abroad of doing everything bigger, louder, etc. Well BevMo you're an alcoholics dream. Fortunately for me who works in the industry, this is the perfect place to hit up when I want to introduce friends and family to my company's brands, especially those who rarely frequent bars. While I have primarily been to East Valley locations on previous visits home, I am writing this review due to today's great experience. I am a bridesmaid for an upcoming wedding in Phoenix. However, since I'm over 5,000 miles away I will be missing out on the bachelorette weekend. Although I won't be present, I thought I would arrange the alcohol for the ladies. First hurdle: BevMo's policy is that you cannot use a virtual credit card Second hurdle: I needed to ensure that my cousin would be able to pick up the order on my behalf (because I'm on the other side of the world) Third hurdle: I couldn't use my UK registered credit card on the BevMo website After calling and emailing the store, and finally getting the BevMo website to cooperate, I was able to process the order. Chris at the Glendale store turned around my order within minutes and confirmed my cousin would be able to pick it up without any issues. Crisis averted. Cheers BevMo! read more

Definitely a fan of any establishment that serves alcohol lol! That was my first time in this store, I really liked the HUGE selection of wine, liquor, and more importantly BEER! I am huge fan of craft brews nothing packaged or too label for me, no thanks. I cam by for a tasting of San Tan brewery's seasonal tour brews, they were all great. I only got a quick sip of the heavy D, but it was enough for me to be headed back with my growler when those kegs come in for sure! Not a bad price either for a growler fill, only 16 dollars, any craft brew fans need to make the trip, well worth it! Place has a friendly and professional staff, I asked about different wine selections and was surprised by the huge knowledge one of the employees had of wine and good food to go along with the wine. The manager let me know about an online fan following called "Glendale growlers", which lets customers know all about the next beer and wine tasting events, I'll be keeping an eye out for the next one. read more

As a Washingtonian stepping into BevMo!, I feel like a kid stepping into a candy store. Washington is one of those states that only state-owned and run liquor stores can actually sell hard alcohol. The prices are pretty steep and the selection can be spotty. Only recently have we been able to buy liquor on Sundays. Yes, really. I guess the bar isn't very high when it comes to places that sell liquor. So why the five star rating, you ask? I'm quite impressed with the selection of beer, wine, and the extensive selection of liquor. I must admit, I have been a little homesick (for beer, not rain) and it brought a little tear to my eye to find some of my beloved micros that I usually can only find in the Pacific Northwest on the shelves at BevMo!. It also doesn't hurt that the two times I've been here, they've had some really tasty wines on sale - buy one, get one for a nickel. When the sales associate mentioned this to me, I swear I could hear the Hallelujah Chorus playing. It was Cold Play, but whatever. I'd love to try more of the sale selection, but I do only have one liver. read more

I do believe I go here way too much. But they always seem to have exactly what I'm looking for, whether its a celebratory bottle of Riesling or an 'forget my day and hate myself tomorrow' tequila. I find it, and I more or less enjoy it. Staff is helpful and friendly, and hasn't changed over the year that I have been frequenting this location. And finding things in the store is pretty self-explanatory as all the aisles and walls are marked with whatever the generic name of booze you're looking for. I've never tried them out, but they have a few tasting events every now and again for some beverage they stock of a local or popular company, which is pretty nifty, if you think about it. And they always have good deals going on, they recently just brought back the 5 cent wine sale, where the second bottle bought is only 5 cents. There's various brands to choose from, and if you drink a lot of wine, this works out for you greatly. So, it's close to home location has its numerous conveniences, and so many not so convenient ones as well. If you ever get any alcohol from me, it probably came from here. read more

My sister and I were visiting the Phoenix area from Southern California for a family funeral. We popped into BevMo to buy 6 bottles of wine for a family dinner. I walked the store for at least 10 minutes looking for a specific wine, all the while no offer to help. I was unable to locate any one on the floor so I walked up to the customer service counter where there were 3 employees talking amongst themselves, completely oblivious to anything. I asked if I could please get some help. They sent me to a guy who was in a remote part of the store. I asked if he had any-----. He then proceeded to check the shelf, even though I had told him there was none on the shelf. He checked anyway and declared they had none. Hard to believe as this is just a very basic wine that I have bought dozens of bottles of this over the years. He then walks off, not saying what he was doing or offering a substitute. I then said, are you checking stock or can you offer another label? No answer. I then said, unbelievably poor customer service. He turned around and said, "you dumb ass, I'm checking stock". I replied,"excuse me and don't bother!!!!" What is wrong with people....you don't talk to people like that, especially when you work in customer service. Don't bother with BevMo. I tried for two days to order wine as a gift and have it delivered. I could never get through check out because of glitches. It was very frustrating. Then when I called the store they told me that they don't do delivery at all although on the site it says they do. In the end I just changed to a different wine store. read more

Normal Bev Mo. The employees like most locations are pretty helpful and actual know what they are talking about, especially beers. Problem is Bev Mo has a little too much of a crush on CA. A lot of their beers and wine are focused on that region. A little diversification from local and CA would be nice. Drive the extra mile and go to total wine at arrowhead. Prices at bevmo are higher by a dollar or more. The beer and wine selection is not as extensive as total wine. Just wasted time waiting for them to price out an item which was listed on the shelf but not in the computer system. Total wine cashiers can look up the inventory right at each register. The employees are great and always helpful, but ever since the store was rearranged and a new set of management took over, I believe his name to be Mario (this is the name I was given), the experience at this location has been less than adequate. Mario doesn't appear to do much when I see him there except for put random items in random places, micromanage employees, and stand in the booth on the computer. Each time I've come in and he wasn't there, the employees seem much more enthusiastic to work and excited to be there and help both each other and the customers. They help each other much more and it feels like I'm walking into a building that is run by a team, and not just a bunch of individuals being micromanaged with mindless tasks thrust upon them. The experience always seems to be better when he isn't there. Since the store has been rearranged and especially since the holiday season has started, there is much more clutter and less organization. It's a shame to see. read more

Just about anything you could want liquor wise. They have a Huge selection of all the regular stuff plus several versions of the "fancy" bottles of the most popular liquors. Anywhere from a rye version of a favorite of mine called Angels Envy (Burbon) to Louis the 13th $2,500 bottle of Cognac. I never have to worry about NOT finding something, but sometimes I find a bit too much! I love the selection, helpful staff, and even the prices are reasonable. Some of the stuff I haven't seen elsewhere, but this particular location had decent prices for all the usual suspects. I would highly recommend trying them first if you are in the area and need something interesting, or even just a good 'ol stand by. I don't know for sure because I've never done it, but I think you can also have them special order something if they don't have it (most liquor stores do and this one seems to have the chops for that kind of thing). read more
