I came here today after hitting up the movable feast food trucks off of blossom hill and the 85 off ramp. I only came here today for one thing, and that was Belair Moet and Belair Rose. The champagne made famed by superstar Rick Ross of the Maybach Music Group. I am now proud to say that I am part of the Black Bottle Boyz movement. But in addition to that, they had a few other selections of champagne like the Moet Rose which was wrapped in this elegant pink foil and black bowtie embroidery, and of course the Dom Perignon. They have quite a few other items and a ton of wines and spirits, but the deal of the day was that Belair Rose. I got the $45 for $29 joog, a $16 savings! read more

Good prices, good hours of operation, and good selections! My friends and I recently started going out of our comfort zone in beers and started trying out all types of new beers. For me personally, I started trying out various Stouts, IPAs, and some non dark beers to try out as well. They have a HUGEselection of rare beers to choose from. Keep in mind that 90% of the rare beers they offer are not refrigerated but stacked on display shelves for you to shop around. I really like how they list the description of all the beers. So far we tried a lot of AMAZING beers and a few just "Okay" ones. Here's a few suggestions: Seadog Wildberry: 5/5. Nice smooth light beer with a hint of wildberry taste. Highly recommended. Women would love this drink as well The Abyss Imperial Stout: 5/5. This is personally my top favorite. Really expensive but worth it. I believe the bottle is a little less then 24 oz for about $13. Not recommended for those who don't prefer dark beers. Banana Bread Ale: 5/5. I just tried this last night and it was delicious. Has a hint of Banana Bread and a smooth finish. One of my friends had The Lost Abbey brand beer and loved it as well. They have a nice selection but the premium beers are about $12-15 a bottle. The Lost Abbey will probably be in the next batch of beers when I go to Bevmo to get some more. read more

The prices are not that bad and one thing you must do is join their club bev club and you get major discounts off their products. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM gotta love BEVMO. I took someone who actually had never been to a BevMo. I know, scary. Anyways the layout of this store is really nice. It is easy to find what you need. The 5 cent wine sale is the business. Can't go wrong. I took stars off because The customer service at this store was straight up bizarre. Maybe it was a stocking day for them but the couple of aisles we were down, there were people with boxes that were not even trying to assist us or move out of our way for us to get stuff. It was weird. Also- the guy who rang us up was straight up racist. I watched him help the man before us and it was like the customer had some disease that the cashier would catch if he even looked his way. It was very uncool. Well I do miss Tower Records but I was super excited to see that BevMo was gonna be taking over the space. The Tower I bought my first ever CDs at (Faith No More "The Real Thing" and Living Colour "Time's Up") just recently became a pet food store... *shudders and sheds a tear* Anyway, this BevMo is pretty cool so far. I'd have to say their beer section is a bit smaller than other BevMo's I've been too but is still sizable. The staff was really helpful. I love BevMo! because I love alcohol. I really really really do. They always have a great variety of English beers and whiskeys for me to blow wads of money on. I feel like I am endlessly mentioning my wife in my reviews, but she too loves this place. She's a Wine-o, or is it spelled wino? I've never had to spell that word. Anyway, she's a wine-whatever, and buys a crapload of it here. Great prices, great selection, lots of drink related novelties too. Staff is helpful, but should be sought out. I once got a 1.5liter beer mug here for $5. Also, I was able to leverage a better purchase price on my new truck by getting 3 cases of Blue Moon from here. I went to this Bevmo with my 21 year old sister on short notice and she forgot her ID. Since i am 22 and buying, i thought it wouldnt be a problem. We were thinking of purchasing a mini drink, when an employee approached us and asked how we were doing, and we were asking him a few question. When he then asked to see our ID because we look young. I told him that this is my sister and she is 21 but she forgot her ID. But i was buying the alcohol, and he said that it wouldnt be a problem. My sister and I collected a few mini drinks and went in line. We were about to purchase, when this same employee confronted and took our items and said we couldnt buy them because my sister is a minor. He also stated that minors were not allowed in the store, however there were little kids in the store at the time we were there. He purposely singled us out in front of every one in line. On a side note; i went to this bevmo last week and the employees never carded me because i was not buying. So I believed that is certain employee single out my sister amd myself because we looked Caucasian. read more

He probably noticed i was too stubborn to ask for help so he recommended a few bottles depending on my taste and budget. You can never go wrong taking your alcoholic needs over to BevMo. They have anything and everything that you could ever possibly need/want when it comes to boozing it up. There vast selection of beer keeps me coming back here. There are beers here that you won't find anywhere else, at least all of them in one place. Who would have thought that there was that many Hefenweisen's to choose from! Their wine selection is amazing. I always come here during their 5 cent wine sale. They always have great brands that are included in this sale. Not just the crappy wine that they can't sell. It's always hard to not find at least 3-4 different wines to pick up when you are here during the sale. If you ever need liquor, there is no other place to go. I find it astonishing how many different brands of each booze that they have. It is always nice to try out different tequila's or bourbon, if you are into that kind of stuff. I second the notion about Victoria calling he employees racist. That is absurd. They sell alcoholic beverages are are SUPPOSED to card you...it's kind of the law you know! Anyhoo...enough with that. This store is huge compared to the BevMo we went to last week in Willow Glen. The employees couldn't be anymore helpful. They were so nice, that it drove me to write this review. We're getting married in March and our vendor does not provide liquor and so it is up to us to do so. I heard about the $.05 sale and knew that it was a deal that we could not pass up. We did about a weeks worth of trial and error tastings from the bottles we bought at the Willow Glen location. The sale was ending soon and we were pretty much fed up with buying some bottles and finding out that they're awful. Since we needed to buy 53 reds and 53 whites...i asked the employee if we could taste some before we made the purchase. Now they only have tastings on Sat but they made the exception for us. I am so glad that they did because we ended up choosing the wine he recommended as opposed to one that were were going to get 3 cases for. Came in for their MIX IT UP sale going on right now. What a joke ! It clearly states the discounted price on their flyer for wines and then it says at the bottom of their flyer, Get an ADDITIONAL $10 off if you buy 4 or more bottles from a group they had listed. I did that but the manager said the $10 was built into the discounted wine price. I gave up after awhile as common sense was not working. This MIX IT UP sale is VERY confusing. here is why I'm giving Bevmo 5 stars. So a day earlier my friend hits me up and says lets have a pony keg for our friend's going away party and I'm like cool; I'll go get it tomorrow. Now being I've never purchased a keg before (always sent others to get it) I go down to bevmo where the guy tells me you have to order it 3 days in advanced. I was like wth?! But he proceeds to tell me, if we have something you want in the fridge and it sold I'll let you buy it today. So we walk in the back and he lets me look around as he calls out the kegs, low and behold, blue moon pony keg. woot! We rented a full keg and a 5 gal keg for my daughter's grad party. During the party, one of the taps failed and would not pump or distribute the beer. We were left with most of the 5 gallons and unable to drink it. When we returned the kegs/taps and explained the situation, Thomas gave us a full refund for the small keg and waived the cleaning fees. This is my second time in there. I bought my older sister to help pick a gift for my Friend. We asked asked help from 2 different people and they were very nice. This one employee walked up to us and asked for our ID. My sister forgot hers... So she had to step outside which was fine. Then the same guy was telling me about the popular gifts. She spent time talking about the wines but also gave her input about what she liked. The selection was nice - gave great examples from Napa and Carneros. There is always a good find to be had at BevMo. I came here looking for a Christmas gift, is that mean your shopping for an alcoholic, and I was not disappointed. The have a decent selection of things you would never see in a normal liquor store or supermarket liquor aisle. The normal stuff you find everywhere is a bit pricey here, but I guess that makes up for the stranger things they carry. This place has just about what any other BevMo has. Tons of wine, good spirits and beer department, but the kicker is a cool staff. They have been consistently helpful with me when it comes to getting my (typically long) list of party needs taken care of. Wine tastings on Saturdays rock, 5 cent sale is great, and they also do a coupon sometimes for an extra dollar off certain wines, and 2 dollars off each bottle if you mix and match a case of select wines. Ok, I have tried several times to give BevMo ten benefit of the doubt but they continue to let me down each time I go. Customer service is the problem here. Employees almost never acknowledge my existence or ask if I need help. I feel as though I am interrupting their work when I find someone to ask a question. I now call BevMo the Home Depot of beverage retailers. They assume everyone that walks in the door should know where everything is on their shelves and they have probably a thousand different labels. It's a little like walking into a library and not having a system to look up a book. It would make more sense to me if they installed a self service kiosk and just let customers look up their own beverages. It would save so much time. Save yourself the trouble and shop at Total Wine in the Almaden Ranch Shopping Center near Bass Pro Shops. Better selection and better service. read more

Beware of the return policy. It states on the receipt that if you are dissatisfied, you can return it within 90 days. This is deceiving because it only pertains to non-alcoholic items with an exception if the alcohol was bad. This place does not store their wine properly Out of 5 bottles of wine I purchased, 2 of them were maderized and corked. I called Bevmo customer service, they told me the return policy, and that it was ok to return the bottles due to them being corked and maderized. The manager, James refused to take back the 3 that I did NOT open. He spoke in an unprofessional manner and was rude. Mind you I could have returned the 2 bad bottles I opened but didn't. I threw those away and wanted to return the ones I didn't open. He kept interrupting me when I told him I spoke with the Bevmo customer service with "nope, can't return it". I didn't want to waste any more time with the incompetent manager so I took it to another Bevmo location and returned it with no problems. read more

I love BevMo!!! I can usually find any booze I am looking for and the employees are always willing to help me out when I am being indecisive! I did an online order the other day - decided to get my hubby 9 different kinds of beer for our 9th anniversary - and the order was fulfilled in about 30 minutes and ready for me to swing in and pick up on my way home! The only bummer was I needed a few other items when I got there and I ended up wandering the store for 5-10 minutes looking for it and not one employee was in sight to ask. I know it was on a Wednesday, later afternoon, but there were empty boxes everywhere - maybe they were stocking the shelves for the weekend, but was kind of a pain walking around them with my kiddo. I asked if I could send him with my ID and his of course, gave them his name, and they said okay. When he went there, they need the physical payment card? We tried to offer if I could text him a picture of my debit card, but they said the need the physical card.. i mean.. I've just never came across that before. I asked when I was on the phone if there'd be any problems with him picking up the order and he said no, but apparently this turned into a stupid fiasco. This is a good place to find unusually flavored sodas such as the bacon soda and the apple pie soda.These are old time soda made with cane sugar and not HFCS, so they are worth a try. There is quite a large selection of beers from all over the world,as well as local micro breweries.There are also lots of good cheeses and chips,but perhaps not as cheap as Trader Joe's or Sprouts.There is even a greeting card rack if you need a last-minute card to take to someone.There are some expensive Champagnes here,some over $200 !
