I was staying at a hostel near here. I got in a little later and started wandering around the…read moreneighbourhood looking for some dinner. I saw Marubi, but kept walking. I mean was I going to eat ramen while I was in Germany? What about finding some bratwurst and beer?
Well I ended up walking all over, but came back to Marubi, because dammit I really wanted some Ramen. It's not a big restaurant, but it wasn't busy when I was there (it was after 8), so I got seated right away. I ordered the beef ramen. The very little German I can speak and understand didn't stop me from getting a delicious bowl of ramen, and it was delicious. There's a good ramen place in Dublin where I live, but it's a bit of a ways for me to get to. So yeah Ramen in Berlin was a great idea. I always forget how much I love ramen until I have a bowl. This was as good as the ramen I tried in Tokyo. Homemade, nicely seasoned, and a good price. With some water it was 9.80, and was enough to keep me satiated until breakfast the next morning.
If you're in Prenzlauer Berg in Berlin it's worth stopping in for a delicious bowl of ramen at Marubi.
