Beyourself is my OG boutique experience. Since I was in high school this was the place to go for cute and size inclusive items. fast forward just uh..a few years..i mean nearly 2 decades, it's still a great locally owned boutique on the forefront of the current trends. While I love this boutique, I don't always love the prices a they are not super sale-y but when you get a piece it's very good quality. Owner's brother detained my girlfriend after she stopped to try a pair of shorts. She put them back on the rack and left. He accused her of shoplifting, called mall security and the police, forced us through a long process for what was supposed to be stopping in. They FOUND the shorts and he still accused her of having stolen them. Do not shop here. read more

This store is fine. Just kind of fine. Before I came I read all the reviews and brought an open mind. I had to see for myself about this whole sizing thing. Well here is the truth: Umm..yes...it really is pretty DARN confusing. Truly. So many colors for so many different siezs...I don't want to bother decoding the flipping rainbow. Maybe if they put up better signs that explained the colors. Or maybe if there was an explanation in micro print right there on the tag. Look I appreciate the mission to appreciate every woman's body type. But this is self destructive to shopping. I got impatient and didn't bother trying things on. I bought a pair of $1 earrings and then I left. The sale rack didn't have enough on it. A lot of cute prints and tops were on display. Couldn't figure out which one to pick up and try one. Feeling junk about eating that last cupcake but still wanna go shopping? Go to be yourself, where number sizes are out the window!!! This shop makes boutique shopping even better! As soon as you walk in the door the sales associate asks you if you've ever visited before. This is important because the way they have their sizes is crucial to shopping here. Instead of numbers and words, they use color dots. They have these nifty little cards up front with the colors from purple to black (i'm not sure what the highest color is). We women know that clothes ALWAYS fit differently but we tend to punish ourselves if we fit a shirt that's a size small but don't fit a different shirt in a size small. The color charts give you an idea of what colors correspond to number sizes. The selection of apparel, accessories, and shoes is pretty substantial. They have a great sale section and their prices are reasonable. You could find a whole outfit at this boutique shop!! I also love how they have your basics here: bandeu tops, camis, leggings, v-necks, crew necks, and long sleeves at affordable prices and in a variety of colors. The fitting rooms even have phrases that give you a little pep in your step. For a while, this was my go-to store. The employees used to know my name. I walked in, tried on three of four things, and usually left with them all. Everyone who works there is sweet and the clothes are pretty reasonably priced. Lately though, this store is a hit and miss. Sometimes they'll have amazing things, and sometimes I'll wonder where they got all this crap. I have friends that agree about the up and down selection. I know some people rave about the colors-instead-of-number sizes but to me, it was often just annoying. I mean, I know what number size I am. These color sizes aren't fooling me. So just tell me what size this dress is and then I'll know without trying it on if it fits. However, I shopped here so often I just started knowing what color I was. I did fluctuate between two colors though, so that was nice having that more size options. Also, several times a year they have a sale where if you spend $100, you get a coupon to come back during certain dates, spend $100 and get $50 off...not sure if they still do this deal, but if so, take advantage! read more

While they have unique items at times including shoes and jewelry, they are not what they pretend to be. The concept is to allow woman a comfortable shopping experience without worrying about size, so they've come up with a color-coded sizing chart to replace the number system. The problem is instead of allowing you to come in and shop at leisure without worry about your size, they've called attention to it. Oh, and here's the kicker...you have to tell them your size so they can tell you to what color dot it corresponds. Most women know what size they are and it doesn't change just because you turn the number size into a color dot. But this is not the most ironic thing about their concept - like many boutiques, they hang the larger size clothing by folding back part of it so that it appears smaller. Perhaps Beyourself should actually allow women to be themselves without feeling like it's an embarrassment to be whatever size they are. They are a boutique, so they can be a bit pricey. If you are looking for a unique purchase, you may find it there, but a unique experience you will not. read more

Great little boutique! They always have really interesting clothes, jewelry and shoes. They also have handbags and clutches, as well as other accessories. The thing that makes Be Yourself unique is that they do a color-coded sizing method for their clothes. The idea here is to separate yourself from a number and just look for clothes that match your specific 'color.' They have tons of awesome stuff, and the staff is always very friendly. A little pricey (it is a boutique) but the jewelry is always very reasonable. Great place to check out for that funky or sophisticated piece for your wardrobe! read more

Wow. What a great shopping experience. The staff was really helpful and nice. They started a room for me while I was shopping and every so often would circle back around to take whatever I had picked and add it to what I already had in my fitting room. The clothes are a great price and fit really well. Everything is absolutely adorable and they have really good sales. Everything is organized perfectly and the racks aren't overcrowded. If you're curvy like me, they have great plus sized options and it's on the racks with everything else so you don't have to shop in a different part of the store. Their mission is centered around body positivity and the staff educates you on their sizing philosophy if you're a first time customer. I was in town from NYC for work & stopped in to this store a couple times to look around and although the clothes are cute, they are over priced and the staff is not friendly AT ALL. The first time I stopped in, I was loudly greeted (which woke my 5mo old son, not that she noticed) & she quickly escaped to the back to continue her loud conversation with a coworker about her son. I interrupted to ask about a shirt & to try something on. The help was so minimal, I felt like I was intruding. Not once did anyone explain the whole color sizing thing even though I swear they saw me searching through each rack looking confused as to why many items had no size...it wasn't until I looked them up on Yelp later that I realized their color/sizing system. The 2nd time I stopped in I was debating on a pair of pants I tried on the first time...I was on the fence about them but what caused me to decide not to buy them was, again, the complete lack of helpfulness & the snobby attitudes of the sales associates---different sales people both times, yet all were consistently unfriendly. I've been in stores with the EXACT same quality in NYC Chinatown where the prices would be half what they are here. Beyourself is not a fancy boutique...it's forever 21 quality clothes and fake leather boots...get off your high horse...this is not New York's 5th Avenue. Lastly, I can't support a store where the employees don't even smile at babies let alone potential hot Mom clothes purchasers. I bet they hate puppies too. I love little boutiques like Be Yourself, I don't like seeing people around town wearing the same clothes as me. Be Yourself has a great selection of brightly-colored fun clothes that are unique. This place is completely affordable, but not so cheap that the clothes seem "disposable" I had to take off a couple of stars, and here are the reasons: 1. I would categorize this place as "hit or miss". The first time I went into the store I found many items I liked and ended up spending some money, however, the second time I went in there, I didnt find ANYTHING I liked. I know i'm not the only one of my friends who feels this way. 2. I know many people enjoy the color sizing that makes this store unique, and I also understand the reasoning behind it (makes people feel 'good' about themself and not be looking at numbers) HOWEVER, the "larger" sized clothes are mixed in with the "smaller" sized clothes, as everything is grouped by the color of the garment. They have about 10-12 different "sizes" aka colors and it can be very time consuming looking for the correct "color" on the tag to determine if it is the right size. It would make the shopping experience more enjoyable if they had the smaller "colors" in one area and the larger "colors" in another area. That said, I'm pretty sure I could always find purses there I like, Be Yourself is a good stop for any clothing lover like myself, it will just have to be content being second place behind Francesca's. read more

I love going to be yourself because the staff is always so kind and genuine. I also LOVE their platform of colors instead of numbers for sizes and promoting positive self image! Today I had the best experience at Beyourself. I went in looking for a last minute outfit for a same day wedding. The staff helped me find the most perfect jumpsuit and made me feel super loved. I ventured in thsi store after I had my eyes dilated by Dr Malashock (see review for Malbar) and the staff was very helpful especially since I couldnt see! Omaha shopping is LACKING- They need more stores like this!!! Its a gem - trendy/unique without over the top glitz and rhinestones (Like soem other Omaha stores that make me feel like I have walked into the shooting for a Bejeweller infomercial) Anyway- the day I went they were lacking in clothes in my size-so that kinda stunk-otherwise I would have spent a bit more moeny, I joined hteir email list so hopefully I can the heads up when new clothes come in and snag some in my size... read more

Happened to stop here after gettin some grub. My coworker told me to check it out after my meal and I said "no," bc I already have a shopping problem. Shopping in Omaha suckS and I seriously have to go out of town to shop. Anyway, I walked by and couldn't resist! Not a fan of the color sizing system but it didn't stop me. Good: Super cute clothes and friendly employees. Reasonably priced - similar to Francescas, etc. Also centrally located. Not so good: I hate their sizing setup... I forget what "color" I am and have to ask every time I go in. While their intentions are good, it's just way easier and more convenient to put the actual sizes on the clothes instead of the colors. Also their return policy kinda sucks - can only return for store credit and can't return something you bought at the Lincoln location to the Omaha location and vice versa. read more

This store gives me mixed feelings. On one hand, their idea of a less degrading size scale is nice and has potential. But, as someone who doesn't shop their often, it is frustrating to not know what color you are. I also feel like every time I go there, they only have two or three sizes stocked. The inventory can range from very cute and "in" for the season or just plain WTF. My last visit had me wanting to spend all my money, but there have been times when I didn't like a single thing. The displays are very artfully set up, and it's fun to hunt for jewelry in all the drawers in the displays. However, I think most of the clothes are way over priced (I.e. $50 for a chiffon top that costs $20 at Target) They have brands and designers I've never heard of, so between paying for unknown brand names and the boutique atmosphere, I'm not sure it's completely worth the price. Their jewelry is very cute and is not overpriced, and their sales/clearance are pretty good, but again with that you run the risk of hit-or-miss styles. The employees are kind of sketchy: they greet you, ask if you've been in the shop before, and if the answer is yes, you are left alone. I had to wait 5 minutes at the counter on my last visit because they were in the back talking. My final complaint is the weird hours they are open. If it's because of how little traffic they get, it might be a sign that they need to change a few things. Overall I keep coming back to see if anything has changed and I might pick up one or two things. read more

I was on a hunt for the perfect green dress. I scoured the entirety of Westroads, Target and I had even visited two other boutiques before making my final round at Be Yourself. I found THE PERFECT dress! But, it was too big (insert crocodile tears!) had called their sister store in Lincoln and they had the dress I wanted and in the size I wanted! The Lincoln store shipped the dress to Omaha the next day. I was SOOO relieved! The customer service and genuine care is what gets this store 5 stars. I am not a fan of the color system for sizes, but the girls are so nice and helpful! read more

Be yourself is one of the best boutiques I have been to. I am not a size 0 and here it doesn't matter. All their clothing sizes are based off colors so you don't have to stare at the dreadful number you hate. Every Thursday they get new clothes and they also offer a student discount on those days too! How convenient! My closet now is filled with clothes from be yourself and it's my go to place for a cute new outfit. The workers there are so kind and friendly and make your experience top notch. I went in this store excited because i was going to buy a dress that i saw somebody else wearing and they said they got it there. My first experience was the first and last time i will ever go there and did not purchase anything the owner was very rude!! They try to make this a child friendly store by puttting a couple of cheap old toys in there. Whats the point of this if you really dont want children in your store!! The owner was very rude and yelled at my child because he grab the toys and then played with them by the window. Quote she said get away from the window and sit down. When i confronted her she was very rude to me laughing at me. When i ask to speak to the owner she said with a smirk iam. Then when i told her i will never come back after u spoke to my child like that she said well what normal child does that...ummmm lost of words first of all there is no such thing as normal child because a child is all unique in everyway and since when did a child become abnormal because they took the toys u provided and played them in a different place. Ive been to plenty of boutiques and have never been treated so poorly. Horrible customer service will never work no matter what great things u may have in ur store which by the way was very over priced. I've been shopping at Beyourself for over 6 years now and they never disappoint! This shop has some of the best, most affordable boutique shopping in Omaha. Their clothes are better quality than some of the things you find in the mall, yet still affordable compared to other local boutiques. They set themselves apart from other shops in the area because they follow their own color dot sizing policy. They explain that this is because their store mission is focused on promoting self-esteem and being yourself, of course! After you get over the fact that there are no number sizes, the color dots are actually quite helpful. Every time I've bought something, my sizes are consistent since they try every piece on to size it! Not to mention, when I where my outfits from their store out, I am complimented everywhere I go. The girls that work there are more than willing to help you put together an outfit too if you're not sure how to wear something. They truly have something for every size and age.
