Within the confines of Terminal 1, Hermann's seemed like my best option. I had the rindwurst with sauerkraut and a beer, and it felt like a perfect little Frankfurt experience. The rindwurst had a nice snap to it, and good flavor. This was food I would have been happy to eat even if I wasn't stuck at an airport. I liked it enough that a couple hours later I went back for another, and also tried the surprisingly great potato salad and a serviceable pretzel that in retrospect I could have done without. If I'm at the Frankfurt Airport again, I would definitely get a rindwurst and potato salad. Service was friendly on both visits. The decor was cute and the place was comfortable enough. Prost!

Nice new venue in Niederrad near the S-Bahn station. Nice place if you like takeaways or snack…read morestands. They also have chairs and tables but only under a small roof. Try it out for your next lunch or a snack for your way home. We can recommend it!
