The service was on point and super attentive. Our waitress had excellent suggestions for appetizers…read moreand main course. We started with a fried wonton filled with chicken served with a side of sweet chili sauce that had a tactile, crispy bite and a well seasoned chicken filling. Dipped in the sweet chili sauce it became a balanced ball possession between savory and sweet. Zu trinken, I had a Vietnamese coffee that came in a contraption that dripped the coffee unto a bed of lightly sweetened condensed milk. All I had to do was add ice and voila, amuse la bouche! As the main course I had the crispy chicken with a green curry that had a medley of vegetables and was served with a side of rice. Again that everything that's right with the world crispiness bathed in a sauce that was flavorful, decadent and the right level of spicy. Imma be back here. This is a gem that I did not expect to find. Keep it up!

You know as far as Asian food goes in Munich, this isn't a bad place to stop! The food quality is…read morenothing over the top but it gets the job done. We came in after a long day of flying and this was one of the few places still open. We got pho and some curry and it really hit the spot. Potasia had a lot of vegetarian options as well so come here if you're craving some asian food (sushi, pho, curry, you name it). The indoor seating is a little limited (no outdoor seating) but the menu is expansive :)

After trying the duck here (and proceeding to come back for the next three evenings for the exact…read moresame dinner), my dad, a typical northeast China expat, has decided that he will not and can not eat Beijing roast duck from anywhere else--not even Beijing! We got the duck noodle soup and duck with chop suey veggies (if you couldn't tell, we just really wanted duck). Fortunately the duck in both dishes came in generously abundant portions. The duck in the duck noodle soup was quite outstanding. The noodles and the soup were pretty typical for a Chinese restaurant, but the duck--oh the duck! It was the perfect balance between chewy and tender, covered with a crispy layer of skin that held just the slightest hint of yummy fat without oozing all over and making you feel sick and worried about the potential of developing atherosclerosis. The noodle soup really let the duck take the spotlight. The duck with chop suey veggies came with a huge bowl of mediocre rice. The veggies were drenched in a little too much sauce, and the duck seemed to have been deep fried, which was disappointing. While the crispy exterior was made more crispy, the oil from the frying unfortunately drowned out the subtle flavors that duck naturally carries. All in all, a pretty authentic place and seemingly cleaner than other places of the same caliber. Duck was the highlight of our meal, and the duck flesh was also pleasantly "cleaner" (in that it exuded a lot less fat) than previous experiences in both the US and China. Definitely worth trying out, both for the local German looking for an Asian restaurant and for the Chinese tourist hoping for a familiar meal.
