From the outside you may think you are entering a crappy pizza place but inside you will find a cozy (not fancy though!) little Italian themed dining room filled with local families and seasoned servers. Dinner starts with the most amazing garlic knots then moves on to the salad with the a delicious and very unique house dressing. Dinner is any number of choices of Italian classics.... the eggplant parm is my favorite. But the best part is that Sunday to Thursday they have a great deal where you get two entrees and an app for a ridiculously low price. ANd that fact that it is BYO makes this not only a delicious but completely inexpensive evening out! We always make a reservation as this place can get pretty packed. My husband, son, and I took my mom here for dinner this past week to celebrate her birthday. I highly recommend making a reservation as they only had one side of the dining room open with two waitresses on and one buss boy, who was very polite btw. We had a 6pm reservation and the place was packed. Portion sizes were just right, food was hot, sauce was good, and pasta was cooked just right. I would say the only thing that was lacking that night was the service. Granted it was busy but there was a lack of checking in on food, seeing if we needed anything, asking/refilling drinks, asking about dessert, etc. The waitress was younger and those skills will come as she continues to grow! The chicken Marsala only had about 3 tiny pieces of chicken with about 3lbs of mushrooms over less than 1/4 cup of pasta. The dish was not filling due to the overload of mushrooms and small amounts of chicken and pasta. The Halibut was served over a very small portion of spinach, for the price I believe they should have included pasta and or potatoes to this dish. Overall both dishes were not lacking flavor. My experience started so well but slowly fell off. The starter soup, salad, and breads were all excellent and held us over for the long wait. The staff was very friendly and the ambiance was good I guess. When the food did come the problems started. The gnocchi was extremely sweet and had overpowering cheese heaped onto it, would not recommend. The spaghetti puttanesca was the best of the pastas I tried. The carbonara wasn't bad but it was heavy creamy which was weird for carbonara. The veal parmesan was the best thing I tried, it had as much crunch as a fried chicken and was epic....then we found a dead fly basically baked into the cheese of it. It happens. My boyfriend took me here for a nice dinner before he dropped the L word for the first time. (disgustingly cute, I know.) Always make a reservation! They do not like walk ins. BYOB too. The atmosphere is adorably quaint. The cook came out from the back and greeted a few tables that he obviously knew. True, authentic, Jersey family Italian. We ordered crab stuffed mushrooms and antipasto for our Thanksgiving menu. It was the first time we had ordered from Biagio's although we had eaten there several times. They did not disappoint. The crab stuffed mushrooms were AMAZING and went down a hit and for the antipasto - It was delicious. Fresh ingredients and tasty. My wife and I dined at this " Little Gem" Biagio's this evening for the first time. We are pleased to say that it will not be the last time we make the 35 minute drive north from Little Egg Harbor to experience some of the other dishes offered by this amazing restaurant. As an appetizer we shared a very healthy portion of fried Calamari with the house marina which was excellent followed by a flavorful Italian Wedding soup. For our mains my wife selected the Homemade Pappardelle Porcini which was excellent and I had the Zappa Di Mare which was one of the best " Zappa Di Mare's" that I have ever eaten. Biagio's is "Excellent quality and quantity" and to top it all off the service is extremely attentive and courteous. Overall the quality that you experience at Biagio's is an easy 4&1/2 to 5 Stars. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation to try this nice place. You will not regret it. read more

They have a special of 2 entrees with an appetizer to share for $35.99 dine in. Food is good but nothing spectacular. Nice space for a cozy meal. It is a BYOB so that is a bonus in my book. We shared a stuffed mushroom appetizer, my wife had Tagliatelle Bolognese & I had the Lobster Ravioli. Very nice. I heard nothing but good things about Biagio's Trattoria on Route 9, Lanoka Harbor, so we made a reservation and gave it try when the family was together. The restaurant resides in a small strip center with it's own parking lot. They are BYOB so bring a nice bottle of wine. This small eatery is not unknown by locals as was evident by the amount of people visiting other tables for a chat. We were quickly seated by a young man and our server introduced herself. Olivia Callmeifyouneedme has a strange last name but did an excellent job of looking after us. We shared a cold antipasto for starters which was good. We all ordered different chicken entrees, as if we don't eat enough chicken, and they were all excellent. The desserts were special as well. I had a plate of four cannolis. I'm glad there were enough to share. I think Biagio's Trattoria is an excellent family restaurant and I highly recommend it. read more

I hope the employees at this restaurant finished their shifts, and immediately quit working for this place after the Christmas Eve spectacle my family and I witnessed this evening. It was made abundantly clear that the managers/owners of this restaurant DO NOT care at all for their employees nor do they have any clue how to do proper customer service. Let me paint you a picture: waiters running around spreading misinformation from the kitchen to their tables; hungry patrons waiting hours for food; patrons told after ordering their food that the restaurant was out of chicken, salad dressings and that all fried foods were unavailable, etc; tables of people clearing out without having been served dinner; a 15-year-old child turning away people at the door arriving for their 6PM reservations. It was truly the most embarrassing and unprofessional restaurant experience I've ever witnessed. The owners of this restaurant must be greedy beyond all human comprehension. All they had to do was simply calculate the number of people that had catering orders and then calculate the number of people who were going to be dining in person and then get enough food to feed everybody. Instead, these geniuses decided to ballpark the whole thing and ended up ruining what was supposed to be a special Christmas Eve dinner for many families. Here's some genuine advice for next time if anyone decides to give you another chance (won't be me!): - make your menu smaller - don't be greedy: you clearly are not competent enough to execute at the scale that you tried to with both in-house dining and catering. Pick one or scale it all back (i.e., don't do 3 seatings, do 1) - rally your employees when things are going wrong in the kitchen and equip them with the information they need to do their jobs; don't let waiters spread different bits of information to different tables. It only makes things more stressful for them - don't put your teenage employees in charge of turning people away; be an adult and admit you messed up and do it yourself Best of luck next year. read more

Ordered food for Christmas eve dinner pick up time was 4:30pm. The line in the tiny hallway was very long with everyone complaining about how long they have waited. We checked in our name and waited. Finally around 6:45pm we were told that our side dishes were ready but none of our chicken dishes were and that they hadn't even been started. We had a house full of family and lil kids waiting to eat. We took the sides and left. We had to order pizza from somewhere else. First off this restaurant is byob which we prefer. We recently had a great experience at Biaggio's in Lanoka Harbor. The food was excellent and generous portions. We were also impressed with their specials 2 entrees including appetizers for $36.99 unless you order calamari then it was an additional $4. Making it $40 which we ordered. I had the veal piccata and my husband ordered the veal parmesan. Both were delicious and they were generous portions of both calamari and the entrees. We recently had a dinner party with 24 friends and family members to celebrate my daughter's confirmation at Biagio's. Everything was fantastic!! The food was amazing from appetizers, soup and salad and all of the entrees! The service was excellent! The two servers, Jackie and Carrie were so attentive and made everyone feel at home! This was a WILD experience. We had a reservation for 4pm on Christmas Eve. The entire restaurant derailed about 30 minutes in. No food was coming out. Generally a restaurant needs food. Half of the tables walked out. We ate around 7pm. I could have binge watched an entire Netflix series in that time. No efforts were made to correct the situation. For $35.99, we were treated to a delightful meal including a shared appetizer, soup or salad, an entree (off a substantial list) and piping hot bread with butter. We chose the delectable stuffed mushrooms, fresh tossed salads, and my wife had their extremely generous and tasty chicken parmigiana while I enjoyed their manicotti. We also ordered a side of their meatballs. There were 3 huge, tender, scrumptious meatballs to an order served in a wonderful Italian gravy/sauce. This is a definite must try if you're in the area. We will absolutely return to try other items from their menu and to get better acquainted with the wonderful people who gave us stellar service throughout our entire meal. read more
