My family has been attending this church for about 21 years. In that time, I have been in…read morechildren's church, youth group, moved away for several years, and have now returned to the area for a temporary stay. I have seen many changes at Grace Family Church over the years, but coming back and seeing so many familiar faces still attending is refreshing in this day and age of selectivity, entitlement, and super polished mega churches where it sometimes feels difficult to get connected. Kids that I used to babysit are now there with their own kids, which is very telling to me because they could have gone to any other church when they grew up and had a "say" in where they went, but they chose to stay at Grace. The church is not perfect. No church is, but that allows GRACE to be practiced and exercised. One thing that hasn't changed at Grace Family Church is excellent, well-researched, Bible-based solid preaching from the senior pastor. Because of proximity or other reasons, some of my family members no longer attend, but they highly respect Pastor Jeff and are always interested in what he has to say. If you are looking for a church that is ALIVE, welcomes everyone, but does not shy away from solid biblical principles, you should try Grace Family Church. I love to sit up on the balcony during worship, look down, and hear so many voices singing and see so many hands raised. The music does not overpower or ever turn into a glossy, over-performed stage show like many others today. The worship leaders currently rotate weekly, which I like so that it does not all center around one or two people. This church is very missions-oriented, supporting short and long-term missionaries, especially to unreached people groups. The kids program has a check-in counter and uses very strict security protocols for picking up the children. The building and seating is very comfortable, with heavily padded chairs and a fresh and clean décor. Parking is decent. You can always find a spot, though it might be in the grass.

I actually participated in a…read moresmall dance talent show that most of the people from the youth group put together for the homeless while we volunteered to dance for them and serve them free meals all at once. It took us many weeks to practice the choreography routine for the music, but we sure did have fun ordering pizza and attending church service here!! There was such an anointing in the environment and I met so many great people here whom I'll never forget! Above all, this was definitely a very nice church when I came here and everybody was so nice to me!

The music moves me, clears my mind, and helps me be present in the moment so that I am truly focused on the word of God. I love the organic and raw feeling of everything this community has shown me so far, there has been nothing but kindness. It is a smaller congregation, but in no means feels judgmental. I absolutely love that it is a mix and diverse population. I have only been going for about a month now (sometimes I'm not in town on Sundays) but crave the truthfulness of everything I feel here. I also love that they do so much for our community!!! They serve meals every Friday and put together hygiene packages for the less fortunate. I haven't had the opportunity to volunteer on Fridays yet, but I look forward to helping where I can and giving back to our community. I had been here way back in the day when Pastor Todd started the church downtown. My dad was even in the worship band back in the day! I moved out of state after college, recently moved back to Fort Pierce, and was in search of a church home. This was the first one that felt like "home". So of course we love it there for that reason but, from the first time I walked into the church you could feel the warmth and love of the people there. The day I went (just before July 4th) there was a…read morestrong message about the founding of America and that is great; however, was the Christian subtext that we should not tolerate other religions? Let's remember that this country was started by people who migrated from England to America looking for a place to freely practice their faith and to find work and a better way of life. I am looking for a faith community and am hoping that this church is open to accepting all ways that people find God. I was going to go the next Sunday but had a migraine and I don't think I could stand the blaring music and big production so I didn't go. I'll try again and will also see if they have a more quiet area to pray. Stay tuned.
