I had a great experience using Bice's Florist for a recent floral delivery to a relative who was inpatient at Medical City Las Colinas. The flowers she received were beautiful, fresh, and looked very similar to those on the website. Living in a different state, I was hopeful that my order would be fulfilled and delivered correctly, and I am so happy to say it was. I was able to place the online order on Monday evening and have it delivered Tuesday afternoon. Once delivery was included the cost was expensive, but given the short turnaround, I understood and found the total to be slightly lower than other florists I looked into. Not. A. Single. Correct. Delivery. In. Over. 3. Years. (since well before covid) Ok, that's just MY experience. But it's every single order. This used to be a premium and trustworthy florist (I've been a customer since the 90's). Now they're all miss, no hit! I just ordered 18 red roses; Bice's delivered 12. After seeing the photo of the delivery, I called to inquire about the mistake. No apologies, just excuses. The excuse this time was that they're busy and must have mistaken my order for another. They offered to go back and deliver 6 roses. Really? After already blowing the effect of having 18 roses delivered? I simply asked for a refund of the difference. The person I spoke to said she'll have to ask the GM and has no idea when a refund would actually be processed. When I pressed to hear back from the GM, she hung up on me. Really? This is customer service? This is owning your mistakes? Insult heaped upon injury. The past two Valentine's Day deliveries have failed to deliver on Valentine's Day. This despite ordering 2+ weeks early! If you've got more orders than you can deliver, just say so. Stop taking orders you know you cannot fulfill. Offer to deliver on a different day (hint: early, not late). And these are just a few examples! Either ownership changed hands a few years ago, or Bice's has forgotten why they're in business. Enough already. I'm done with Bice's. Pros: - When they make a delivery, it may be wrong and late, but the flowers are fresh Cons: - FREQUENT mistakes with deliveries (not what was ordered/promised, late) - Rude and defensive, offering only excuses when they make mistakes; zero ownership Bottom Line: If you care about an accurate order on time, go somewhere else. If you prefer to roll the dice, THIS is your florist! :-D Note: The business owner will undoubtedly respond that they're sorry I "feel" this way. But they don't seem to actually take responsibility for their repeated failures. They're not sorry for dropping the ball over and over again. I picked out the most unique bouquet of flowers for my Nonnie's 90th birthday to be delivered on a Sunday. The bouquet was the shape of a cake covered in real daisies, topped with 3 fresh, yellow roses, and stuck with candles. A ballon accompanied the whole "cake." I opted too buy an extra balloon and also paid $8 more for a Sunday delivery. My total bill came to be $135.29 A Bice's employee contacted me post purchase to confirm my order and answered a couple of other questions I had. Very helpful and professional. I could have saved about $25 if I had opted to pick them up and deliver myself. But given the special occasion, quality of flowers, and a truly creative bouquet- I'd say, all-in-all, it was pricey, but so worth it! read more

Referred by funeral home. Horrible experience by granddaughters who went to order a casket spray for their father. They were not very helpful and didn't handle them professionally or with good customer service. The spray was to be $350 plus delivery and tax. When we called to pay the bill was over $500. We had them reduce the price. It turned out fine but the overall experience was not good. We would have gone elsewhere but due to being Saturday around 2 with funeral on Tuesday we didn't want to take a chance on not being able to get another one ordered. It was my mom's 60th bday and unfortunately I couldn't make it bc of the virus, so I sent my mom flowers from their website. They clearly mentioned they might have to change some flowers if they didn't have the right flowers in. So I specifically asked them to change them to Tulips since they're my mom's favorites and it's spring season. When my mom recieved the flowers they were gorgeous and the right vase but they weren't the kind of flowers I was expecting and there were no Tulips either. I called customer service and emailed them my picture and they understood where I came from since the colors were very bright and I wanted the soft tone I wanted and they also explained how it's hard to find the exact flowers this time since the virus and they're trying to work with the flowers they have. Today they sent my mom Tulips with a note mentioning that I asked for Tulips and they just got some in... Now that was great and on top of that they chose the perfect color choice. I have tried for several years to work with Bices because they are close to my office. But today was the last straw. I took a vase in to have flowers put in for a convention that I was attending. The young lady behind the counter ask what I need I told her I would like some orange and blue flowers. She said we are short on flowers so it is designer choice only. I said you cant see if you have any flowers and she said that she could but it was up to the designer. She was not even willing to go check. My husband said lets go. She said what did I do. I told her that she was rude and that she did not even try to help. We went to Coopers Florist on Pipeline and they were very accommodating and very helpful. What showed up at our doorstep, A DAY LATE, was a stuffed animal and two balloons. NEVER EVER USE THIS FLORIST!! The last two years my fiancé has ordered flowers from Bice for Valentine's Day. Both years I was disappointed in the quality of the flowers. Most of the flowers in my bouquets have show signs of dying. He has bought me grocery store bouquets that have lasted twice as long. The pictured bouquet was delivered Valentine's day in this condition. I don't believe flowers should be dying upon receipt. There are 2 carnations that we're dead thus not bloom and 1 lily with the flower broken off stem. I think a good bouquet should last at least 1 week before it starts to die. It's disappointing considering the cost to receive the bouquets in this condition. My fiancé was very disappointed as well he spent over $100 on this bouquet. read more

I ordered my girl some flowers from FTD...they subcontracted these guys to fill my order. Flowers are suppose to be an expression of our sentiments to others and because we don't own a flower shop we must place our trust in businesses like these to express it for us. Well I will never use these two businesses to do this again. The problem...I purchase my order from FTD site and chose the more upgraded flower option...total cost...$87.50... I was supposed to get a very large beautiful bouquet of mixed lilies and other flowers. It also had a cute bear that was pretty big attached to the vase. What did I get??? Dying or dead flowers. That large bouquet was about 1/3 smaller than it was supposed to be. That cute little bear...you probably guess it...it was even smaller than pictured. Now ask yourself the question I asked the FTD customer service rep...What does dead flowers supposed to mean to my girlfriend? Her response..."I understand your displeasure...then offered me $10 off my next purchase...What???? Like I would trust them again... As for this florist...you guys should be ashamed what you delivered with your name on it...you are an embarrassment...never again and hopefully no one trust you with there expression of sentiment in the future... I wanted a pretty and larger arrangement without fall colors (specifically no reds or oranges which was noted on my order) asking instead for soft pretty female colors. I got a pretty elegant arrangement with the lilies I requested and dark red flowers. That is a red right! Had to pay to deliver to Ft. W. but they had done a good job for my husband's service at Wade Family Funeral Home in 8/22 that I thought they would make what I wanted and paid about $240 for. Very disappointed and no response from the owner/manager after I called to complain. Thus my review. Dr. Delphinium Florist would not have been any pricier and I think would have given me what I requested. They are the usual florist for Laurel Land. I wrote a review, posted it, saw it for a bit on Yelp and then it disappeared! So, I will write another one. I only picked this florist because they have cute new baby arrangements on their website. I called and placed an order on the phone. I asked the woman on the phone how far the shop was from Baylor Scott White Medical Center Grapevine was from the shop and was told 3.5 miles. I was picking up the arrangement myself and to my surprise it was 11 miles from the hospital! That was not the issue though. I sat in the car and my husband went in to retrieve the flowers and when he got back to the car I was shocked at how small the arrangement was and the quality over all. We went back into the shop and spoke to two women regarding the size of the arrangement. They pulled up their website picture and agreed that it was considerably smaller but did nothing to remedy the problem. After posting my last review the owner responded and did some politician double talk about the website stating the size of the container and about the arrangement being the perfect size for a hospital room. The issue isn't the container! It is the arrangement size and quality of flowers! What I find the funniest though is this shop claims to have 100% satisfaction guaranteed but they really don't. read more

Went in there this past Saturday around 1 pm and asked about buying loose carnations for a banquet later that afternoon. I thought to just give stemmed flowers out to everyone but instead, the clerk at the front helped me come up with mini bouquets for everyone. Each girl got two carnations and greenery, wrapped in cellophane and tied with a ribbon of my choice plus two coaches got rose and carnation mini bouquets done the same way. No one in my household ordered any flowers, but lo and behold, at 8:30 this morning, a delivery woman was at our door repeatedly ringing the doorbell. Apparently, someone ordered flowers for our neighbor and they weren't home. So instead of leaving them on the porch, coming back later, a myriad of other options, they decided to leave them with us. This review is for the Hurst, TX location. I have ordered from Bice's for years. I will not order from them again. I ordered an arrangement for Mother's Day. My mom has not been well and I thought this would brighten her day. The delivery driver (who I spoke to over the phone was wonderful) tried to deliver on the preferred date. My mom did not hear the door, so the driver ended up taking the arrangement back to the shop so it would not wilt. The next day my mom called to see when they would be able to deliver again to make sure she could answer the door. The lady on the phone was combative and rude (Happy Mother's Day, customer!). She finally said they would try to deliver on the holiday. The flowers showed up on Sunday and were completely unimpressive. They did not look like the arrangement on their site. It actually looks like they picked up a few flowers from Central Market and threw them haphazardly into a ceramic vase with more greenery than flowers.
