This guy does not have the decency nor respect to return my text or email to advice me if he does not want to take my case. This was a big RED flag. It appeared to me that he did not have time to take my case. Whenever I tried to initially contact him, he was not available always telling me he was in a meeting. Thus, he did me a favor to look for a lawyer who I believe has time for me and my case. And at this point, I would never hire him in fear he could jeopardize my case by delaying it. Once I posted this review, he immediately contacted me via text requesting I remove this review. This proved he was receiving my text messages for one week and intentionally ignored them knowing that I had an urgent matter. As…read morethe process appeared to have stagnated, I was hopeful that Mr. Aenlle would be able to "get the ball rolling" in the right direction...would aggressively tackle any road blocks with the goal of helping me to wrap things up. I had been pleasantly surprised when Mr Aenlle had personally taken my initial call (at the end of the day nonetheless). He had listened patiently and appeared sincere in both his comments and questions regarding my legal proceedings thus far. He said he would call me in the morning after he'd had a chance to review the petitions, etc... I was very pleased when Mr Aenlle promptly called the next morning. That's where my confidence in his representation took a nose dive. He informed me that my divorce paperwork including petitions, motions, etc... was "a mess" and that with a status/final hearing scheduled a month away, it was basically not feasible for him to represent me....he mentioned having to file something to take my previous attorney off the case (she already had filed this) like it was an imposition. In short, he denied representation for my case. There are ways that all of Mr. Aenlle's excuses for denying me representation could have been resolved. I was extremely taken aback. I'm a polite, well organized, stay at home mom and I think I have a pretty good head on my shoulders. Wow. Never conversed with an attorney who made excuses to refuse my case. Dissapointed Two stars given only due to the fact that he was initially very courteous and assured me that he could help move the case along, only to call me the next day and tell me the complete opposite.

After paying her $3500 decided to put on motion and not represent me in my divorce, due to some problem with my husband attorney representing him in a much better way than what she was asking for me. I never write reviews but believe me do not hire her, like the other negative review that was posted back in 2018, with a different client she had. At the beginning she seems very professional but she is not at all.

I (the Petitioner-not an attorney) engaged Ms. Odalys Elkins, Divorce Attorney to represent me for…read moremy divorce case and paid her in full (retainer fees, recording fees, etc. as requested). At the beginning she seemed pleasant and someone that would go up to contest for me. Ms. Elkins turned out to be very unapproachable, unfriendly, and very bothered when asked questions about the legal process of my case (obviously she is the expert) not to mention making a mistake on my Petition for Dissolution of Marriage. I proceeded to request the status and/or copies of certain documentation pertaining to my case and her demeanor (via email) was antagonistic to the point where she once responded that she generally does not provide clients with every pleading filed in the case (and that it isn't her office policy) since she doesn't have the personnel to do that and she doesn't have the time to provide those services. Imagine that? I interacted with Ms. Elkins via email and I called her office a few times, leaving a few messages with 3 different ladies (and she claimed she didn't have staff) that answered the phone. Ms. Elkins would respond via email 2 or 3 days later and in some of her responses, I felt as if though I was being reprimanded, made to feel ignorant and unwise. Unacceptable! Lastly, Ms. Elkins, simply stated that If I wasn't satisfied with her representation, I should hire alternative legal representation which she actually "encouraged" me to do so. She mentioned that throughout her legal representation in the case, I had been unreasonably demanding and unrealistic with regards to the judicial process and procedures. So at that point, I dismissed Ms. Elkins (as she insinuated) from her legal representation and retained alternative legal counsel to represent me. Total waste of money and time!
