If you live here in the South, commuting to Ortigas is just...dreadful. Whenever I have meetings in Ortigas, I used to wiggle my way into having them in Makati instead. When that doesn't work, I'm so GLAD that during weekday mornings there's a shuttle that can take me straight to Ortigas for only Php 70.
I actually have to hand it to those people who live here in the South and work all the way in Ortigas, and I wonder what it must've been when there weren't any shuttles yet. Surely the commute wasn't a piece of cake.
Luckily, for the past few years, some UV-Express and *other* shuttles have been offering this route. The shuttle passes through Skyway, then to EDSA, where it makes a right to Cybergate headed towards Pioneer. And then from Pioneer, it navigates through strategic drop-off points inside Ortigas Center, from Tektite/Pearl Drive areas to San Miguel Ave, Ruby Road, ADB Ave, and ends at Robinson's Galleria.
The downside here is that this shuttle isn't available all day. It's just available in the morning until around 9-10am. But I'm still thankful for conveniences such as this that make it easier for us people without cars. This terminal is located in Better Living Subdivision, along Doña Soledad Avenue, beside Bono Tei Restaurant (look for the sign with the yellow smiley). It's just a garage, not really a "terminal". read more
