Lovely national trust property, which is a little expensive to get in, but if you go every couple of years you can really see the changes. Going in different season really opens up your eyes to the beauty of nature also.
I love the range of gardens, and the fact you actuallty feel as though you are almost travelling the world seeing all the different habitats.
There are also a wide variety of birdlife,and the koi i the large pond are lovely to watch swimming around.
The shop has a good range souvenirs and gifts, and a small cafe which is nice to get a cream tea from in the summer, although it does get busy so you have to be prepared to queue for the quintessential english afternoon treat!
Not always the first place you think of for a day out, but never lets you down if you go. Even in the rain it just oens up a whole new selection of colours and smells somehow, all of which create a great experience. read more
