So she told us to move. She wasn't friendly and just not a friendly environment today. My daughter who never says anything asked if we could leave. Very disappointed in our experience. We decided to pop in and check this place out on a Saturday morning, unknowing what we were getting ourselves into. We just needed to get out of the house. On the left side of the shop is a wall FULL of unfinished ceramics starting at $7 and going up. You choose what you'd like to paint (we went with a few different items) and then you get started! The kid wall is full of little animal statues like penguins, peacocks, elephants, bears. For the adults there's mug, ornaments, plates. You can add on smaller pieces for $1 or decorate a cute ceramic letter. There's so many different selections that you could come back 10 times and still find something new to paint. They have everything you need as far as paints, brushes, smocks, sponges, stamps. Go at your own pace, use whatever design your heart desires and they glaze and fire it for you. Keep in mind, this process takes one week so you can't take it home right away. Plan for one week if you're giving as a gift. As for pricing, you purchase your item for whatever is written on it and then for kiddos it's $5 flat fee, adults is $7 flat fee on top of your piece. My kiddo painted 3 things and it was under $20. Our finished pieces are so cute and my kiddo treasures hers in her room. Can't wait to go back! AND we snagged a couple gift cards for Mammaw and Nana! I hope Doodlin never leaves!

Well, she was right because I had a really good time! Luckily, we went on a Monday, when there was only one other painter there, so the instructor could go at a slower pace. When we arrived, we were greeted and then ordered a drink before the class started. There was just one employee there who was the cashier, bartender, and our painting instructor. She was very patient and helpful when I struggled occasionally. Because I was new to painting, I didn't get to finish all that I hoped, but I did take home a painting that I'm pretty darn proud of!

Difficult to make a long story short but I payed in full a year before when I booked,being told the gazebo in the back would be fully decorated for fall complete with mums ,pumpkins etc for the couple's final dance. My daughter talked of little else to cap off her night.I requested china service for dinner which apparently wasn't noted in the managers notes.approximately 5 hours before the event I was verifying china and was told no,it wasn't in her notes sorry. I replied sorry doesn't fix anything go ahead and set it up.no go. Additionally the bridal party was for 12 they set up for 8 ,when pointed out simply brought more chairs to an already crowded table to ends,my girls brought chairs for their table.my guests reported the limited beer selection was warm as well as the wine.they did not reserve a table for myself and father as requested so we arrived from church with no place to sit.The catering service cut 2/3 of the cake and left so I look over to family cutting cake.I brought this to the managers attention who said they only cut part of the cake?! ( the top was not to be reserved and already cut.) The outdoor gazebo had zero decorations even though I brought it up the day before.the bathroom door had broken locks which I discovered that night.Completed disappointed and would recommend somewhere that was operating as a business and not just a side hustle.clearly they had my money a year earlier and where uninterested in hiring appropriate event staff ,or in customer service.

My bridal party did not have enough seats, and my mom's table was not reserved! THEN, while I was chatting with guests, I noticed mom and the manager by the cake table.. come to find out, she was again arguing with her, telling her she said we were responsible for plating and cutting the cake! Which we would have never agreed to. I was also looking forward to a final dance with beautiful lights and mums under the gazebo in the back, and that too was not set up. If you use them, keep your contract and have them sign off to what they agreed to!!! While we waited, we tried the air dried clay (just one of many cool art project options they offer). The Paint Playground itself was so fun, my five year old loved it. You get goggles, a poncho, and full permission to fling, splatter, and smear paint everywhere. They will even take pictures on your phone while you're in there. The real MVPs, though, are the staff. Every single person we interacted with was super friendly, helpful, and clearly love what they do. It made the whole experience that much better. If you or your kids love to be creative or love to get messy, this is the perfect place to my daughter is already asking when we can go back.

I lived in Cincinnati for 4 years and I never even knew that the Carnegie Hall in Newport existed. I attended a friends wedding and they did both the ceremony and the reception inside the hall. The staff working here were super friendly and nice and very accommodating to everyone who was in attendance. The upstairs is where the wedding was at. The room was a little warm, but it was big enough to hold about 100 people. They did a very nice job with the set up of the chairs and the alter for the wedding. The sound system in the hall was great. For appetizer hour it was downstairs in the entry way. The area had two big rooms and a center room where the bar was set up. The food at the wedding was typical wedding food. It was good but not great. Overall I had a wonderful time at this wedding. I would for sure attend an event here or plan a wedding or function if I lived in town.
