Terrible service. Be careful. Brought in my grandfather's Omega watch, the only item I still have from him. It had kept perfect time time for the past 15 years, until I accidentally ran it through the washing machine. (Duh !) I brought it to be a to get fixed and they said they cleaned it and oiled it and replaced several rusted parts and it wasn't cheap. However, now it runs 35 min fast/day. I brought it back and now are charging me MORE to fix the same problem. The guy running the shop doesn't even do the work or inspect the work before he charges his customers. He is assuming his watch guy did a perfectly thorough job and refuses to take any responsibility. read more

Ben has fixed several watches for me. He's honest, he does good work, and his prices are very reasonable.

Like the two previous reviewers said........run, don't walk away from this guy. Rude, arrogant and mean......that's what he was to my 82 year old mother. Charged her $50 just to look at the clock, then said it couldn't be fixed unless he converted it to battery. Charged her $90 to convert it to battery, and took her nice pendulum and replaced it with a cheap crooked one that he got out of a box full of used ones all thrown in together. And the clock worked for 3 days and stopped. When she requested he find her original pendulum, he pushed the box at her and told her to find it herself. When her sister (who goes to church with him) called and told him about the problem, he was extremely rude to her and hung up on her. When my mom told him about the problem, he walked to the back of his store and never came back. read more

Run, do not walk, away from this shop. Like the previous reviewer, our clock came back in worse shape than when I took it in. I obviously had not seen the first yelp review; I saw a Google review that gave Big Ben's a 5 rating (hard to understand that one). We got a story from Ben that he finally figured out why our ship's clock's bells were off, that it was because of a part that needed to be replaced, and the part was not available. All that may be true; however, the clock is not keeping time at all now, the bells are way off, AND it came with the extra hand missing! Yikes. read more

How often do you need a watch repair. I usually just buy a new watch. But $$ is tight and I'm kind'a pressed for time. I have a flight to catch instead of going shopping. Anyway, Yelp pulled up this guy. So, I called and talked to Ben to see if he could repair my watch .... and how long it would take. He was very kind. I drove to the location and Ben greeted me and repaired my watch right then! Really a nice guy and I appreciated his prompt customer service! Very pleased! read more

I brought my watch in that needed to have the silver backing placed on. The two gentleman were so nice and it didn't take long to fix, but they didn't charge me for the service. It wasn't a hard fix by any means but that was still very appreciative. GREAT customer service!! read more

Excellent service!! Brought in two luminox watches in that had stopped ticking and 15 minutes and $10 later, walked out with both watches working perfectly. Very satisfied and will be returning to Big Ben's for any future repair needs. read more

Took Timex Dive watch in to have the INDIGLO Night-Light button put back into the watch as it had fallen out. The watch was running, the button needed to be in place to maintain the diving integrity. Ben said he had to make the ring that holds the button in the watch. He called the next day and said that he replaced the ring, but now my watch does not run at all. He said since Timex does not sell their parts, I would have to mail it in to them to be repaired. I asked him, "So, you are not going to take any responsibility for this?" and he replied, "No, because that is not what you brought the watch in for." The claim ticket he gave me only says, "Not responsible for goods left over 60 days." Does not say anything about not being responsible for any additional damages. Mr. Gaspard damaged my watch to the point that it does not run at all and it was working when I dropped it off. He damaged my watch beyond the repair I took it to his shop for and he will accept the responsibility. NEVER GOING BACK!! read more
