Knuckie's Hoagies - Turkey sandwich, dull as hell

I got a blt but added pickles and I honestly really liked it. It was simple but very tasty and the bacon was put in the toaster oven thing to get it hot and crispy after I ordered. The bread is also delicious and really nice and soft. All the sandwiches are made to order so they are somewhat customizable which is great. They also offer edible cookie dough here which is a really fun dessert option. I loved the blue sugar cookie that I tried but I do think that they should be refrigerated instead of sitting covered next to the cashier because it was a little stickier than I feel like it should be. Customer service was also pretty good. I definitely suggest checking it out if you're in the area and in the mood for a hoagie.

They took it straight out of the fridge, put warm meat on it and served it. Weirdest sandwich shop experience I've ever had. Normally warm meat means toasted bread. Not here! The food still taste pretty good, but it certainly would've been a home run warmed all the way. $16 is a bit pricey for a special, but it is pretty good. The guy behind the counter was very friendly. The place is extremely small so get here early or take it to go. It's clean and modern.

There were a couple of to go orders but we were the only ones dining in. We ordered two sandwiches, the gaucho and the Philly. I was surprised when I was asked if I wanted peppers and onions. I opted for lettuce and tomatoes instead. I was not told there was an up charge for condiments. No biggie. Except they forgot my condiments when they delivered by sandwich. Everything was fresh, sandwiches were a bit on the small side and needed a little something extra to make them better. It was not a bad experience just not a do over for us.

I finally visited them on a weekend and I really enjoyed their food. I tried the number 11, The Knuckie with Pastrami, Melted Swiss, House Made 1000 Island and Coleslaw. What stood out the most about their sandwich was the bread. The hoagie roll tasted very fresh and super soft. The service was also very good. Both of the owners were present, and they were friendly, personable, and very helpful being that this was my first visit to their restaurant. The interior decor looked unique, and I liked the way they played around with various letter combinations to create unique designs on the walls. I will definitely return sometime on the weekend to try more of their subs and hoagies. Cheers

WOW! I ordered the wienerschnitzel with a beurre blanc sauce and spaetzl and it was so fresh, flavorful, and filling. I also had the goulash which was good but honestly I prefer the crappy American version with the noodles lol. My husband got the Schwarbien plate with a smoked pork chop, sausage, and double smoked bacon- I could eat a plate of that bacon by itself it literally melted in my mouth The ambience of the restaurant was a great mix of quaint and cozy while still being upscale Definitely going to keep this in our nice restaurant rotation

We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation, but were told our table was already ready, so we were seated. (The restaurant tables are very close together, so be aware that if anyone in your party is wheelchair bound, it may be difficult for them to maneuver around.) The restaurant is kept very warm inside, and I'm usually someone who feels cold easily, but even I was rather hot. A woman brought water glasses and a water carafe to our table and said, "If you want something besides water, just let me know," and then walked off. So, in my mind, that woman was a food assistant or a food runner. Turned out, she was our waitress! She later stopped by, didn't introduce herself and didn't ask if we'd ever been there before, but did ask if we wanted an appetizer. We ordered Potato Pancakes. She also asked if we wanted bread service, so we said yes. We did notice from other conversations at the very close tables near ours, that many of the customers are regulars and have their favorite waitstaff. The manager had stopped by a table to regrettably inform a couple that their favorite waiter was out for 2 weeks. So, that did give us hope that if they have regulars, it must be good. The Potato Pancakes were delicious! (I didn't even stop to snap a picture because we were very hungry!) My husband ordered the "Bier" + Cheese Burger ($16.95), and I ordered the Pork Shank "Schwweinehaxe" ($34). The waitress said she had to check the availability of the Pork Shank, so I told her that if it wasn't available, to put in Chicken Wienerschnitzel. Then she didn't come back to let us know what the kitchen said. My husband flagged her down to find out if the pork shank was available, and she said she'd forgotten to come back, but that it was. He also told her that it was my birthday, so she brought out a cute birthday tea light for the table. The food was absolutely delicious, and for the price point, you can easily see why people are regulars there! The pork shank was enormous! (We ate off of it 2 more times after we took it home. The restaurant gave us extra gravy at no charge, too.) The rosemary mashed potatoes were very good! The presentation was lovely! My husband really enjoyed his burger. Then for dessert, our waitress brought out a slice of tiramisu with a wedge of chocolate cake over it, berries, whipped cream, and a little birthday candle in it. Turned out really wonderful! Will definitely go back to this unique spot!

Fair price, good communication, and I felt like he was very knowledgeable. The second experience was much different. First of all, Brett never went over the costs upfront. It's my fault for not asking, but after my experience with Danielle, I figured they would take care of me. They in fact did not. I was charged $120 labor on top of the $50/tire (got it down to 35 after I pointed out he charged me more than Danielle did). Swapping tires on my car cost $365 before the adjustment. I am a teacher and this extra $120 is a tough pill to swallow. In addition to this, I thought they would be very knowledgeable about Teslas. I can't speak for the rest of the sales crew, but Brett was scrambling for answers, although he presented himself very confidently about these vehicles in the beginning. This ended up being false bravado. I had thought I'd found my go to shop for tires and installation, but unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back after this last experience. Update: I question the sincerity of the response on google. If they really want my feedback, they have my phone number and could've easily called me. I did send an email and will update this review once and if they respond. They never responded as I figured.

After my disaster at CJ's, I didn't want to go back, even though one of the stylists who did not ruin my hair does a really good haircut for my daughter. But I wanted to try somewhere new. Enter Hairbar. I chose this place for my 9 year old to get her haircut for her first day of school. She has wavy/somewhat curly hair and she wanted it straightened, along with a trim. The stylist took her back, shampooed and then brought her to the chair. She straightened it first, and then cut it with her standing up. My daughter was cringing the whole time she was getting the blow dry, and finally said the dryer was hurting/burning her scalp. The stylist commented that she burns her own daughter all the time, which really wasn't all that comforting. I could tell my daughter was uncomfortable with the straightener because she was so fearful of being burned. She's never acted like that before at any salon. I just held my breath, and thankfully that part went okay. When she finished the back of her hair, I could tell that her haircut was visibly crooked. I asked her to fix it, which of course meant taking off more length and then she kind of haphazardly cut the sides in a tapered look, but not even on both sides at all. She could tell, I guess, and then just kept snipping away at the sides. For $35, I felt that's a bit steep for a child under ten's haircut. They did have a 10% off offer on Yelp, but she denied it, saying they don't accept it. Well, someone should take it off the Yelp check-in page then. The other part I didn't like is that she literally stared at me the whole time I was paying, as in watching to see how much tip I was going to give. I gave the standard 20%, but felt uncomfortable being observed like that while trying to pay. Nice staff, but I can't say I'd come here again. The next day, I was speaking with one of my colleagues and she said she had been there once, and that she didn't like the haircut or style afterwards and never went back. Guess it's back to the drawing board.

The round table is used for hair coloring/bleaching and the chairs to the left are for the heaters; the station to the right is for styling while the back is for shampooing and rinsing. You gotta ask for Tim/Thanh when you book an appointment at Hair Bar. I actually followed him to this salom and he's been with me on my hair journey for 3 years so I fully trust his decisions with my hair. Why? Because Thanh loves my hair more than I do (lol) and he will always explain what he is doing to my hair. I really like his work ethic because he doesn't cut corners and wants to make sure you leave the salon looking and feeling better than when you came in. The price you pay for your hair reflects the quality of love and care that goes into your hair. So yes, I would recommend Hair Bar. Ask for Tim!
