I have been buying frozen rodents from Big Cheese Rodent Factory for several years now. I tried several other competitors, but the rodents from Big Cheese Rodent Factory are always well packaged and have a minimum of feces and other ick on them. It sounds disgusting but it's fairly common to get frozen rodents that are either rotten (you can tell by the smell) or covered in dirt or poo from other sellers. Big Cheese Rodent Factory rats are clean! They are well packaged and vacuum sealed, for long keeping in the freezer, and are mailed with plenty of dry ice and insulation so they will get to you rock hard frozen even in the heat of summer. My five ball pythons are my babies, and I wouldn't risk their health on any other feeders. read more

As a local customer I have been buying feeder rodents from Big Cheese for years now. The quality of the rodents are better than most pet shops. Very economical if you have multiple snakes to feed. The frozen packs keep for a long time. The facility is very clean no smell from old bedding. Some of my snakes have lived past 14 years in age. I consider the quality of the feeder rodents to be a factor in the long life span of many of my snakes. For local buyers that can pick up live rodents are available. My order came exactly like described on the website. Plenty of dry ice and insulation to keep my order frozen in transit. The feeders were in good shape. My experience with the big cheese rodent factory has not been the best experience. My first shipment was exceptional quality packaging health of the animals was exceptional, the second order that I had placed a few weeks later was almost $500 worth of feeder rats and I got them opened up and started pulling them out of the dry ice packaging, and they stunk off all they stink up my whole house from the smell of the rats that were frozen and vacuum sealed bags with dry ice they should have no smell whatsoever. Like the first shipment I got from them was no smell. Called and immediately complained about the quality of rats they said well try to feed your snakes with them, and get back to us if they don't eat them let us know. Not even a week later I tried to feed my snakes they refused to eat the feeders that I got from The Big cheese rodent factory called them up and they basically flat out told me they don't do refunds based on smell have a nice day. Didn't even bother to try to rectify the situation sending out new rats or giving me a partial refund nothing, the basically I'm Sol and they don't refund based on smell or quality and that's a big joke in my opinion because that's all they advertise on their website is quality cleanliness animals and that's not what I got and I got no refund either and I'm very very disappointed so just be aware that if you do by feeders from these people you might be out of several hundred dollars. read more
